Ah that's brilliant, thanks for the comment. Met a bloke yesterday who rides a single speed mtb at 62 years old! We're planning a Whistler trip next year, very exciting!
I went on a trail ride up country back when I was about 45. Was riding too fast so decided to slow down (about 1000 riders strung out, not a race so fast/slow as you like).. within 10 mins found myself off line in a small farm field deep creek bed and instead of zig/zagging I ended up having to ride over a zig... Didn't get back in line so over the next zag I decided to gap the next and land back in the trail... Well I did the double.. but the bike (YZ250 2poke) only made the single. Super manned into the grass and had to ride back to the road then on to the pits, about 10k... So after a month... when I woke up one morn with my wrist asleep yet unobstructed beside me.. I decided to go to A&E. "Well you have a chip off your ulna"... "And you broke the bottom diagonally off your radius"..."And there's some floaty bits in your wrist"... "Are you in any pain"? "Meh".... (So now I'm riding downhill (badly) at 53... I still avoid doubles... does mean I don't have any good crashes in my videos tho).
@@daftoldmanmtb not on trailforks, I don't think. Turn left at the bottom of Pirate Radio. On the other side of the fire road, there's an unnamed trail that nearly killed me riding it blind 😆
It's Yearsley Woods, just up past Malton, pretty fun. I thought the swap was my collarbone, it was just a twig though. I ended up with a separated shoulder
Some awesome riding what a shame about ending them trails looked prime.
‘I’m hoping it was a twig!’ Great line mate and really calm considering injury!
Ha, turns out it was. Just a separated shoulder (still hurts now!). Loved your Kilburn vid, I need to get back there soon.
New in to all this mob stuff and this channel is the best on here you make me laugh 😂
Ah, what a great comment, thanks mate. If you're not having fun what's the point 😄
Liking the channel mate! I’m along for the ride. 63 here in Canada, and there’s no more daft rider than me!

I love Yearsley 😊
Yeah, it's amazing. Still haven't explored 100% and I've heard there's some new trails to have a go at. Well, new to me anyway.

@@paulmulryne8405Ah, I know which one you mean, I'll give it a go. Also one before COVID and then another off Hootani that I haven't done yet
I like the look of those trails, where are they? Hope you're ok fella, what was the snap... Just the twig?

@@daftoldmanmtb shoulders are a painful thing eh. Done both mine 🤣🤣 🤷♂️
Watching this video makes me realise how shit I am, you was bombing it
Nah, you've only been riding a couple of months and you're miles better than I was after that long.
You do swear a lot more though
Hahahahaha Hahahahaha 😄 😄 😄 😄 😄 😄 😄 😄 😄 😄 😄 😄 😄 😄
