Installed one of these in our house back in the 80s (when I lived with my parents). Had one of the early versions where the LCD was not back lit. Good panel back in their day. Programming was a bit like Texecom, where you had to press NO to change something.
when we go to jobs with DA abacus panels or cqr bell boxes installed we get told just to rip them out even if there isnt anything wrong with them and replace them with pyronix or texecom panels and bell boxes ,great video
I'm autistic and can nearly tell you the name of each sensor and how they work,I love to watch videos of alarms going off, even though I have to trn it down as my ears are really sensitive and bring spooked even the slightest can set my heart condition off,I realy loved this video 😁😁😁
We still have a similar alarm in our house, just I think it's older! Instead of an LCD, it has a red LED display which can only show 2 letters/numbers. Its 20 years old now and still works fine which is funny considering the texecom veritas in our old house was only 12 years old when it corrupted its-self and needed a new panel. Older is just better sometimes!
Awesome system!
Been a while since I’ve seen an old DA Abacus system, installed one in the grandparents house many moons ago

Ooh that’s cool, yeah I know what you Mean, I’ve just programmed it to greet me with me name when I enter the code!
wow lovely panel! never knew you could connect fire alarms to intruder alarms!
It’s a 12v smoke detector, made to be connected to intruder alarms as standard fire alarms have 24v supplies

I'm glad you enjoy the abacus I gave you I may have a keypad for it
Oooh, maybe another trade coming up 😂
Showing my age now. Remember all these items. Do you have an old SM9? Pro80? Anything from the 70s.
I’ve got a blue acorn panel from 1976
nice
Nice!
Very good alarm panel with snazzy loud alarm siren boxaa
Very nice
I want one like that 🙂
I can sell you every item in the video for £195 inc P&P
what is the alarm sound level? (the indoor keypad?)
What does the chime on it sound like?
Not sure, I’ll have a look later
@@mrsecurity It just goes beep-beep-beep-beep-beep (the 'high' tone pulsed in 1/4 second pulses)
I know I comment on most of your videos but I really want one of these alarms I'm determined to find one especially the bond security ones
