XD u replied ... so cool XD ahah .... well i don't think my parents would ever allow me moving/living there ... ( i would love to go to high school there ) *^*
I wish our uniform was like that there are so much more comfortable the Japanese strategy of school is pretty smart I really like it I wish all schools were like that
I know this is from 5 years ago but I’m guessing it’s still pretty accurate for today. Great presentation which made me smile a little as it was somewhat in the style of an airline passenger safety briefing! 😂 I’m learning Japanese so I’m going to check out your other vlogs and see if there are ones of you speaking the language. Can you still speak it?
man i go to a unfiorm school but they're not as complicated I'm going to study abroad in japan ( student exchange ) but its cool to see the uniforms in japan.
How do Japanese girls feel about wearing knee socks year round? In the heat of summer or even going to gym class, it would appear that long socks would be a bit cumbersome. I do like the way they look with the uniform however. Very sharp.
How much Japanese did you know when you went there? I want to spend a gap year in Japan, and while I plan to do Japanese until I finish school, I'm scared I won't understand enough or be able to talk to anyone that well!
I don't think you have any idea. It's not all cute uniforms, bento box lunches and going to anime club meetings. It's a hellish grind of lectures, testing, rwnkings, cramming and competing to get into the best university you can. If you can hack the academics or are not likely to get into a good Japanese uni, Japanese high schools are NOT for you.
Good question! I wanna know too! Although my hair is naturally dark brown (looks black but upon close inspection is dark brown) I dyed it blue so.... XD def wouldn't be able to go to that school
@BeKiwii Did you go to a public or private school? Also not to sound weird but on your first day did you roll your skirt or did you do it when you saw other people rolled them? Thanks! ♥♥♥
Wait a minute...but what about BB/CC cream, concealer, or tinted sunscreen? I imagine some might try to use it regardless of the rules to cover up really bad acne scarring. Has anyone gotten in trouble for using such products at school?
Wow very informative, I had no idea that they limited that much - especially the make up! Do you know what the requirements would be for a teacher? I'm considering teaching in Japan and I was wondering if they would make me dye my hair so dark or not allow me to wear makeup or what type of outfits are appropriate. Please let me know of any recommendations :)
+livinghappyisachoice Teachers are a different matter all together. As far as I know, you don't have to do anything to change your appearance to be a teacher in Japan. Besides looking professional. There was an ALT (Foreign english teacher) at my high school and she didn't have to change her hair or makeup.
I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THE LONG SLEEVE SWEATER AND BLAZERS THAT ARE LIKE JAPANESE UNIFORM STYLES FOR AGES someone pls let me know whr to buy it but its not expensive pwease? :( i dont live in uk/ america or somewehere like that i live in asia help? thanks
lol girls still wear the really short cute school uniforms like anime but not at school but outside on saturday and sunday, which can flip up at any moment xD. I don't know how they do it I would be too embarrassed to wear it so short (even shorter than she had it in the video) . Though they definitely do not wear booty short shorts, and I hope it wont get into style either that would be terrible Dx
Very nice. I like the way you synced your physical presentation of your uniform with your narrative to give a very thorough description of a very attractive uniform. What is the music playing in the background? (Is it your Japanese school's alma mater?)
A bit worried as to if I'll get a response, but I have naturally brown hair - Medium brown with dark chocolate base. I dye my hair, pretty regularly. It has been red for a few years, but it is now black. My hair grows out slow enough that dyed red hair manages to fade to giving me lighter looking hair, now with black hair if I was to go to Japan, my hair grows slow enough that I would get there with lots of black, not much brown.. but, if my hair was red at the time-- would it be an issue if I went with my red hair, of which would sooner or later start to show roots. All as well, with halfblack/halfbrown hair? It's not insanely noticeable, but it is noticeable
+GaijinMint Generally they prefer you to have your natural hair color while you are in the school, this means if you are foreign then you can keep your natural hair color. If the red hair looks like a natural red color then they may not have a problem with it. But they might ask you to change it if your hair is too unnatural looking.
+Clara Ding It reminds me of my own Rotary blazer. I swear the blazers get 10 times heavier with all the buttons, pins, and stuff we would attach to them! :D
Oh, I see. How much did they cost? I'm hoping to become an exchange student, but I'm not too sure. By the way, did you get like a club vest/sweater/jacket if you joined the club?
I always loved the idea of wearing a school uniform and though at first id love it and find it cute and stuff and feel special and feel as if i'm a part of the community and feel confident and professional and feel responsible it would soon become extremly boring wearing the same thing not being able to express myself and be who i am and try different outfit's and i'd soon burn out of it and would love it and hate it at the same time and it'll make me feel more mentally drained or depressed and it would make the abuse i'm going through at home much more worse due to having to buy me new uniforms since uniforms cost alot and my parent's would've been stressed out and probably take it out on me even more. I got myself a school uniform though since it's and cute and i'm Transfluid And i live in the US so i'd look very stupid wearing a school uniform in school with kids who wear whatever they wanna wear and you'd get very bullied and picked on if you did😂 But fuck them cause it's something that *I* want to do!
i wanna live in japan too :( its so beautiful ... and the schools are so cool :/ im 14 an live in germany ... its very boring here . you can wear all what you want to school but when you dont wear the 100 euro tshirt all people laught ... its not very cool ._. im finaly finish with school in 1 year and then i make an au pair or an work an travel at japan ... i want it sooo mutch :(

+Bekiwii, what if their is a girl that doesn't like nor want to where a skirt or dress for their school in Japan?and also why doesn't your school have air-conditioning? or heat?
Is pretty much as i expected (from anime :P) Anyway something were missing and this is the badge school or is something that exist only in anime? I really like the idea of the uniform but insn't a litte bit expensive?
If someone hasn't answered yet: Most programs I've looked at have the school expenses included in the money you pay [that program] or it's already payed for.
The Skirt/White shirt/Blazer and shoes came from a store in my town that specifically sold school uniforms. The socks, sweaters and vests came from a store called 'East Boy'.
You can buy cosplay uniforms but i dont think you can buy an actual Japanese uniform. Most uniforms cost so much and are sold by a local uniform store in Japan.
Ilma Hussain Haha LOL YEAH IM A STALKER jk it's because i'm doing an exchange and i was wondering what school she went to incase it might be the same school
im suprized you speak good english i should have went to japan wile in military i wint still with first wife lol i went to england in stead i enjoyed it but the british wife did not work out
I love how Japanese school uniforms look especially the sailor uniform 😂
I want to wear this too! It's so pretty
Soooo Cooooool never guessed that they had so many uniforms. Wish I went on exchange in high school to Japan so jealous.

XD u replied ... so cool XD ahah .... well i don't think my parents would ever allow me moving/living there ... ( i would love to go to high school there ) *^*
rockaphobia2002 I didn't think my parents would allow me to do exchange either, but I managed to convince them. There's always hope!
ur parents are awesome ... i seriously need to advance my persuasion skills XD
Me too!!
This is the best video I've seen explaining the uniforms, I always use this for reference:)
I wish our uniform was like that there are so much more comfortable the Japanese strategy of school is pretty smart I really like it I wish all schools were like that

It's a really nice uniform!
You look like sawako from Kimini todoke
I'm afraid I don't know who that is.
+Bekiwii it's an anime character....😊
Viki Domanski omg she does
man i go to a unfiorm school but they're not as complicated I'm going to study abroad in japan ( student exchange ) but its cool to see the uniforms in japan.
:O the kimono is sooo pretty
That's awesome. I wish America had this, well at least my area.

I love the song in the background in that your school song
I WISH I COULD GO TO A JAPANESE SCHOOL T.T too bad i basically finished high school already 😭

What was the reason you had to style your hair in that certain way?. Great video by the way.
Very thorough presentation. :)
If we have natural brown or blonde hair would they make you dye it?
No, you don't have to dye it usually. They let you keep natural hair colours.
hahahahahaha
Good question! I wanna know too! Although my hair is naturally dark brown (looks black but upon close inspection is dark brown) I dyed it blue so.... XD def wouldn't be able to go to that school
Guinevere Bloch No! if you die you're hair usually you have to die it regularly because you are supposed to have your natural hair color.
@BeKiwii Did you go to a public or private school? Also not to sound weird but on your first day did you roll your skirt or did you do it when you saw other people rolled them? Thanks! ♥♥♥
very nice did the school have a overcoat like a duffle coat ?
Wait a minute...but what about BB/CC cream, concealer, or tinted sunscreen? I imagine some might try to use it regardless of the rules to cover up really bad acne scarring. Has anyone gotten in trouble for using such products at school?
Great video. Love it :)
Wish i was in Japan.
Good how you made a lot of gestures (y)

Yes I am. Does that matter?

DAMMIT i thought the track or gym shorts would look like the ones from a anime very short

Bodyline
oh okay thanks
If I was to go to Japan, would they get mad at me for having blonde hair even though it is my natural colour?
No, rather they would be interested by it.
lol girls still wear the really short cute school uniforms like anime but not at school but outside on saturday and sunday, which can flip up at any moment xD. I'd like to visit japan someday...
(not because of the whole small skirt thing...)
Very nice. I like the way you synced your physical presentation of your uniform with your narrative to give a very thorough description of a very attractive uniform. What is the music playing in the background? (Is it your Japanese school's alma mater?)
did you get to keep you're school uniform after you left japan? (my sister wonts to go to school there and so do I, so I just wonted to know)
A bit worried as to if I'll get a response, but I have naturally brown hair - Medium brown with dark chocolate base.
I dye my hair, pretty regularly. It has been red for a few years, but it is now black.

+GaijinMint You're like a border hopper but with hair and red suits ya

***** Thank you. ^-^
I said I would go to sleep at 12 AM...it's 3 AM... How did I end up watching UA-cam videos of girls talking about her school clothes?
ikr lol
Forever alone I'm just here because I wanted to see if it was like those slice of life animes
Is this a Rotary Blazer in the backround?😳 did you make your Exchange with Rotary? And very awsome Uniform like in a Anime ❤️👌🏼
+Clara Ding It reminds me of my own Rotary blazer. I swear the blazers get 10 times heavier with all the buttons, pins, and stuff we would attach to them! :D
Did you do a year on exchange in Japan?
I wanted to do that but I'm now 19 and too old...
Aya Chan Yup, I did a gap year then I was 18. You can always do exchange in University!
did the school provide these things for you of did you have to go out and buy them??? i would love to get some things like this. they look so cute ^_^
+MissLadyYuki Cute? americans will fail in japanese because they're lazy and too busy shooting each other. Japan dn't have schoolouts
+MissLadyYuki My host family and rotary club paid for my uniforms.
Did you get to keep the clothing?
Or was it from like a school uniform bank?
I got to keep my uniform. Plus, I bought the sweaters and vests with my own money.
Oh, I see.
How much did they cost? I'm hoping to become an exchange student, but I'm not too sure. By the way, did you get like a club vest/sweater/jacket if you joined the club?
Do you get to keep your Japanese school uniforms or do you have to give them back to the school when you leave Japan?
If you bought them yes. If you rented them then you have to return them.
I always loved the idea of wearing a school uniform and though at first id love it and find it cute and stuff and feel special and feel as if i'm a part of the community and feel confident and professional and feel responsible it would soon become extremly boring wearing the same thing not being able to express myself and be who i am and try different outfit's and i'd soon burn out of it and would love it and hate it at the same time and it'll make me feel more mentally drained or depressed and it would make the abuse i'm going through at home much more worse due to having to buy me new uniforms since uniforms cost alot and my parent's would've been stressed out and probably take it out on me even more.

sorry but the sentenc is not really pointless and i cant understand this ... pleas can you tell me this in english ?
i think u should get side swept bangs and a more face framing cut it would look better on u ^-^
You are lucky. They only talk to me when asking what's this on English.
Can gals wear slacks for school uniforms? Or are you stuck in the 1960s with the short skirts? I'm referring to non-gym wear ones.
There's some schools that OFFER slacks but the girls almost never wear them because they think they're really lame and not cute to them. X3
Where there any popular hair styles in japan?
+Bekiwii, what if their is a girl that doesn't like nor want to where a skirt or dress for their school in Japan?and also why doesn't your school have air-conditioning? or heat?
You don't have to wear a skirt all the time, might I add. Just schools, woman with jobs can choose wether they can wear a skirt or pants
Would you have to dye your hair black, even though the person was born a natural blonde?
Nope!
Thank god :D
did you take some entrance exam?
where can I buy that bagg T.T someone help meee
Did you dye your hair?
I wish I can go to Japan and school in there 😞😞😞😞
I love it.

Is pretty much as i expected (from anime :P)
Anyway something were missing and this is the badge school or is something that exist only in anime?

If someone hasn't answered yet: Most programs I've looked at have the school expenses included in the money you pay [that program] or it's already payed for.
Not to be creepy! But what highschool?
Was it allowed to wear silk tights? :O
I don't know about tights material but it was okay if they were black or navy blue. Had to match the uniform.
***** i thought classroom shoes are sandals...
where did you get the outfits with the sweaters?
The Skirt/White shirt/Blazer and shoes came from a store in my town that specifically sold school uniforms. The socks, sweaters and vests came from a store called 'East Boy'.
***** what was the name of the store that specifically sold the school uniform???
MissLadyYuki
I don't remember exactly. I know it came from a section in a department store called 'Maruhiro'.
can i buy the uniforms online?
You can buy cosplay uniforms but i dont think you can buy an actual Japanese uniform. Most uniforms cost so much and are sold by a local uniform store in Japan.
NICE VIDEO THANKS FRIEND
Did you made a transferr year? And how old are you?
I was 18 when i went to japan, and I did a gap year.
***** What program did you do the gap year through? Like, what company?
★ Kira Shining Power!! ★ I was a part of Rotary Youth Exchange. Which is a volunteer organization actually, not a company. :)
are girls allowed to wear trousers?
im afraid not
so wait, even if your natural hair colour was like, blonde, youd have to dye it black??! damn id look like a ghost
what if you don't have black hair would you have to die your hair
you just need your natural hair color no dye
***** are you jappenis
I'm not jappenis but I still informed myself about these things.
Ok thank cool
I think that the name called レベッカ is good too.
僕は好きです。
What school did you attend?
Ageo High School.

Carina Of the Otakus stalker....
Ilma Hussain Haha LOL YEAH IM A STALKER jk it's because i'm doing an exchange and i was wondering what school she went to incase it might be the same school
Is it hard standing out in the class with the ''Western'' face? ^.^
No not at all. I knew I was going to stand out anyway so it didn't bother me.
Cute
Haha I'm black. They would hate my hair, I'd have to straighten it
im suprized you speak good english i should have went to japan wile in military i wint still with first wife lol i went to england in stead i enjoyed it but the british wife did not work out
She's not Japanese. She's a Kiwi who went to Japan on a high school exchange program, so of course her English is "pretty good."
+gotwa229 OK THANKS FRIEND
you have to learn Japanese before you can transferr right
So many ways o.o
8:30 i died xd 😂😂
The anime dragged me here
Did you have to color your hair black and have short hair??
