    Ah yes, a Hyperlight reel that's over 9 hours long. God, I love EFAP!

    Getting Stuckmannized with EFAP is the only thing that brings me joy in life.

    He made one contact of someone semi respected in the industry & has got so giddy he thinks he's big time now.

    The first clip is literally Chris being a Communist 😂 most likely not on purpose, but he’s explaining the ‘Labor Theory of Value’, the idea that the amount of time (labor) you put into something is directly proportional to the value and overall utility of the product. It is pretty much _the_ central facet of Marxism.

    • @mordirit8727
      @mordirit8727 7 місяців тому +18

      People never think about effort, only labor. _Effort_ impacts quality, always has and always will. How long someone has worked on something is just an extremely vague indication of how much effort was put into it. Yeah someone worked a whole year for this script... How many days did they do it for? How many hours in total? How much of the proccess was them just fucking around on the internet during company hours?

    • @daveyjones8969
      @daveyjones8969 7 місяців тому +8

      You can work on something your whole life, but if there isn't skill behind the effort or labor, it will still turn out crap and be worth nothing.
      Even moreso if you're working with subpar materials and tools, but also some love of what you're doing.
      It's just a fact you get good at things you enjoy much more quickly, so grinding through a daily task will never produce the quality that genuine enthusiasm will...like communism! Lol.

      @@daveyjones8969 I don't believe in that, even. I think it's more than possible to pour all of your effort on something and not be _remarkable,_ but good is always attainable.
      There _is_ an amount of genius spark that goes into art, but even without talent achieving something good is possible, because study, practice and perfecting your craft all go into "effort."
      If someone "works on something their whole life" without "skill behind the effort or labor" and never achives even making something tangible, that just means they're lying about the effort.
      2 untalented people can go to film school and come out, one making okay movies and the other making shit movies. The difference would be in the effort one of them put into learning the basic building blocks

    A lot of the time, the "outside" perspective is the most objective, and considering he started "outside" he had a prime opportunity to take that INTO his filmmaking.
    "Hey guys, all that stuff I made fun of in my videos? We WON'T be doing that!"
    Or take it the other direction like RLM, and make an intentionally shitty but entertaining movie.

    On one hand I can understand how he'd compromise himself to get to the next level, but on the other it feels kind of pathetic that the only way he can set foot into his industry is by becoming a complete doormat to avoid hurting feelings or closing doors.
    Also: I love how it always has to be totally one thing or another. It can't be that people have gotten a little tired of superhero movies AND the movies have been mediocre for several years now, HAS to be one or the other.
    It can't be that movies are more available and cheaper to watch at home AND that movies have been so lacklustre that people felt robbed paying cinema prices to watch them, it has to be one of the two and not both.
    Things aren't usually completely black and white. Sure, people have more movies at their fingertips, but we still get massive box office hits so you can't explain the failure of Marvel and Star Wars movies away by claiming that people simply don't want to go to the cinema anymore. If that was the only factor, all movies would be equally affected.

    Remember everyone, go watch the good movies because alleged filmmaker Chris Stuckman says they are good and not the bad ones alleged filmmaker Chris Stuckman hasn’t talked about.
    You can trust him, he is allegedly making a movie that will definitely be good and fully display his mastery of the medium and passion for the art of storytelling.

    The marvels is not art. It had artists working on it but it had too many activists working on it therefore the pot was diluted to the point that the art was overpowered with other elements.
