C3 Corvette Engine Swap Part One

- The day has finally come to swap the tired old 350 Chevy in my buddy's 1977 Corvette, for a 355 Chevy with a little bit more "sauce". Then we will clean, and detail the engine bay in preparation for this new crown jewel! Come along for part one of this adventure, and enjoy our trials, tribulations, and eventually success!!

Outstanding! The tip on label parts in a zip lock bag was great. I’ve done that on Tanks, heavy equipment and wheel vehicles. Worked flawlessly every time no mix up and no extra! I’ll wait in line for TH350 Transmission swap for my 85 El Dog. I’m just around the corner. Sapper37 out!

I’m have been doing my recon on getting a transmission. I definitely prefer local vs online unless you know better. You may have told me already but who is best to purchase from? what specifically am I looking for at What price with warranty and guarantee? Anything else you can provide as the SME is very helpful cause I’m clueless and don’t want to make a costly mistake.

So glad I came across yalls swap! I'm also doing a similar swap but with a 383, my friends got as far as having everything swapped out and mounted (including trans cause I had it rebuilt) while I got stationed elsewhere and I just got it back! Now I just have to figure out how to plumb and wire everything (Chef by trade, youtube mechanic for fun, lol). I have a feeling I'll be watching these a whole lot over the coming months

Pulling my 427 out of my 69 very soon. Sure could use that engine cradle once the engine is out.

How difficult was it to get to the transmission bolts?
Would a tpi unit bolt in a c3 and work or an LS

At the end of the day it's Mikey's car. Plus he was able to get all this past his wife. If the wife approves a whole new engine, you swap in a new engine!
