Glad to know is a good block. No seizure or metal shavings! Also, if the gap on the rear main seal wears on the metal, wouldn’t it be bad? Maybe I am wrong?
I always replace the rear main seal on any engine if I have to remove the transmission. To me, it us just cheap insurance. I didn't see any issues when I removed and replaced this one. I just saw a guy on UA-cam get a junkyard LS with 200,000 miles and say that he didn't see the need to replace the rear main because he had never seen one leak. I cringed.
Yeah, I'm with you; I'm a big LS fan but the newer ones are priced way too high for a C3 diy'er. Anyway, lookin good so far. Looks like I have a lot more of your videos to watch...
As in Todd and Julie? What kind of vehicle are you doing the LS swap on? Thanks for watching and let me know if I can help. I have done a few in the past.
@@BowenAeroGarage Yes sir, we are in East Texas these days. I have a 1969 C10 and a 2004 Chevy Tahoe donor vehicle for all my LS parts. I certainly may have some questions along the way. This is a first for me. Tell the family we said "Hello"!

Awesome job, Billy! This is Todd from the old WF, TX days. I'm working on an LS swap as well. Looking for more to come for your C3.
