What a great video! I love how you put things together...... I just wish you would mention or list what pants/skirts/trousers you are wearing with the Quince sweaters!
I am obsessed with Quince and Quince's cashmere sweaters in particular. I have several of the sweaters you styled today and you've given me a couple of new ideas in this video. The Varsity Red crewneck is one of my very favorites right now, great for holidays and just adding that bright pop of color on gloomy grey days. Really enjoying your videos.
These QUINCE sweaters are beautiful and you’ve made a great case for how versatile they can be. My son always gives me money for Christmas and I think I’ll order a cashmere sweater! Just need to decide the right size!
Love your casual and classy style! I'm obsessed with Quince and was happy to see how many others are also! Thank you for sharing all these great ways to incorporate and wear cashmere every day! I bought a cashmere sleep shirt/gown at a discount store about five years ago. I actually wear it almost every night. Cashmere has this amazing quality that it keeps you warm but not overheated… Unlike polyester plastic fleece. I am retired and wear cashmere loungewear and sweaters every day… And often with a Quince silk blouse underneath 😊. You could call me a Quince-aholic! 😂 😊❤ Love your videos… New subscriber here! 😊
Loved this video. I absolutely love Quince. I just put in two huge orders. I love love love their cashmere and their leather bags. So ,so good. Ty for sharing.
I Love my JCREW cashmere sweaters.Ive just started wearing them everyday. I also like sparkling necklaces and bracelets. Why not live in the moments.. ❤🌻🌻❤ So warm and soft and cozy.....
Thank you so much. You have given me so many new ideas for wearing my cashmere sweaters. I feel a classic blazer is too formal for my lifestyle and a cashmere sweater would be the perfect answer for me.
I have to thank you! Because of your earlier Quince video, I purchased many pieces you showed here, today. I think I now have to go back from the brown cropped cardigan!❤❤
I’m checking out the links to get more QUINCE! These items are so nice. My eyes popped when you took off the sweater and I saw your gorgeous biceps. Good work!
I have lots of cashmere sweaters, but Quince is equal to or better than many of them. And the price! Can’t be beat! I just ordered 4 crew neck cashmere sweaters from them..they were only $50!!! Win!
You had me at CASHMERE! I love navy, red and brown, short cardigans and cashmere. Thanks for doing such a great job. I think I will be buying a few new cashmere sweaters today and getting rid of old ones. That navy skirt and cami with the brown sweater is amazing and RED is a neutral for me. UPDATE: I got the brown cardi, red sweater and the navy sweater BUT in denim. Can’t wait to see how they work!
I have many Quince sweaters but you have convinced me to add the varsity red boxy sweater and the oatmeal cardigan. Thanks for helping me with my shopping, I love cashmere as I too am always cold!
Just discovered you.😊 Love your style and your videos. Quince is a favorite of mine too; their pieces have become favorite travel items, especially during the winter.
Just found your chanel and subbed in, Kristen. I'm loving your style-so similar to mine! I have a Quince red cashmere sweater and a off white one as well. LOVE Quince! So affordable and super soft cashmere! Keep on keepin' on!
Can you do a quince Jean try on or tell me which pair looks like your jeans? Yours look more mid rise and I like mid rise. The description says quince jeans are soft. I like soft.
Thank you for sharing ❤ definitely like to try their sweater now. By the way your cute red Mary Jane strap shoes. Where are they from? Looking for comfortable red cute shoes like that for a while now.
I have a few pieces of their cashmere amd love them, and am finally at a stage where I need to wash them. But I don't know how since I'm a first time cashmere owner. Any tips?
Kristen, thanks for another great video. This may be my fav so far bc you actually show outfits. How many pieces did you show altogether? I have several garments similar to yours and I want to figure out multiple combinations. I’m going to start hunting for more cashmere!
Oh, I'd wear my red Adidas Sambas, white or cream Converse, saddle brown shoes or boots, red maryjanes. I rarely wear black shoes, but they would also work with this look.
What additional colors in the peasant blouse are you planning to get that you think will be basic and versiatile? How would you describe your style and how did you identify it? Love the video. Thank you Susan
Good question! I just ordered the grey and will likely get the navy for spring. Quince is also releasing it in a sleeveless version! Out in January, I think. I would describe my style as ... simple, classic, effortless, timeless. I always gravitate towards a French Tomboy vibe. I don't really focus on a defined style as much as paying attention to what feels most authentic for me.
Just made my first order from Quince and am trying to find out more about them. Once piece is cashmere and can’t wait. I am hoping I found a new place for decent, healthy clothing that is fair traded.
I have yet to buy their cashmere because I have too many cashmere sweaters but I tried their silk shirts last year and now have more than a dozen pieces. Love the quality and color. Had to shorten two shirts and change the neckline on two dresses but still worth it. I recommend them highly. Their pants don’t tempt me though, wish you’d do a critique of those. My body shape is different from yours, but I’d still be interested in your opinion
I had a wonderful cashmere turtleneck I wore for decades until hot flashes rendered it too uncomfortable, but a cardigan that could be taken off would work - I also have a problem with moths and other insects and wonder how you store your items? Love the pleated pale blue skirt! I used to buy a lot of black, gray and brown for winter thinking it was basic and by February I was depressed as those colors looked too much like the winter landscape of gray and brown! Still buying basics but looking for ways to lighten them up with sweaters and scarves in brighter colors. I'm attracted to prints but you show how items in solid colors are so much more versatile as a base.
Kristen how can I bring simple shoulder structure into my sweaters? I always wear hoodies and love the look but I have a good collection of cashmere knits that don’t look good without shoulder pads BUT THEY SLIP EVERYWHERE! I have Velcro ones but they rip the cashmere or nylon bras or tops to pieces. Any suggestions?
Hi, I found you tonight and have watched two of your videos. Love your style. Can you tell Me where you get your camisoles? Btw, I bought 3 J Crew girlfriend Tees. It’s the season. ❤
Yay for those amazing girlfriend tees!! The camisoles are usually from Target - A New Day. I also have one silk cami in cream. It's thrifted from a brand called Isda & Co.
@ THANK YOU! You are always so helpful and down to earth. What garments would not stretch out draped over folding drying rack. I have one & rarely use it.
I love your quince cashmere in fact I have loved several quince pieces however they are missing my business because I’m from UK. Ive tried ordering from them but to no avail. Anybody else out there from uk liking this stuff.
So question. Are the Quince cashmere thin? What ply are they ? I hesitate to buy anything that’s sponsored. Like LilySilk whose products when I got them were incredibly poor quality and came smashed in an envelope, plus the return process was harrowing.
Great question. I promise to always give my honest opinion. I've been wearing cashmere sweaters for years. Quince cashmere is truly exceptional. Their $50 Mongolian cashmere crewneck is thinner than the others, but not what I would call thin in a chintzy sense. It's just a lighter weight cashmere. The others are quite lofty! The ribbed cardigans I show are thick. I'm wearing the light blue one now!
Hi Tanya- I'm working on creating a ShopMy account for linking things that aren't thrifted. As I'm a style coach, not an influencer, I don't really share links regularly. The first pair (dark green) are about 5 years old from H&M. The grey trousers are from Commence- online brand, I wouldn't recommend them. They don't have a great return policy. There are better trouser options out there, both resale and retail.
at first I thought the holes were from moths or some kind of insects but ONLY the quince cashmere gets the holes. one came with a small hole and I kept it anyway.. I no longer will buy the thin ones.
I wish Quince were more size inclusive. I have this problem with most of the sustainable brands. What a shame, as I would love to invest in these beautiful pieces.
All of my cashmere pieces are quite old, 3 ply and all are in excellent condition. I hesitate to add any of those from Quince since friends have told me they are very thin, made of short pieces of cashmere and therefore develop holes after a washing. Have you personally washed these pieces that you say you washed in the machine and use all the time? Since I cannot wear sheep wool I only use cashmere and would enjoy not spending $500 per piece for daily wear. What brand are the green and grey pants that you wore please?
I have not found the Quince cashmere sweaters to be thin. Actually, the opposite. They are lofty and thick. They do have a few different versions and some of the sweaters/yarns are thicker than others.
I have washed them and they've held up well. My husband has the grey cashmere zip hoodie. It's been washed a dozen times and I've only de-pilled it once. Looks great!
The green cargo pants are Gap. The grey trousers are from Commence (wouldn't recommend this brand). There are lots of better trouser options out there.
ive ordered many pieces, can't resist, but the 50 cashmere and the 99 hoodie do get small and not-so-small holes after short time and of course pilling. the thick boyfriend one gets soooo many pills. ive had it a few years and I do love it but it looks so frumpy as it loses shape and pills.. I almost never wash it.
I have lots of cashmere sweaters but none of them are the rather boxy styles you are showing. Can you show us looks for those of us who just want to "shop our closets" and update the look of the cashmere sweaters we already own?
Best plan for that (just coached a client on this!) is to add a wide-leg jean or trouser. The varied proportions will make smaller sweaters look more current.
Thankfully, this hasn't been a problem as much in the west as it was on the east coast. I pack them away for the off-season in large plastic bins, freshly laundered and usually with a few cedar balls.
Pilling can be caused by a number of different factors... a bag or seatbelt rubbing, a larger bust often creates more friction in some areas, some brands and knits and yarns tend to pill more easily. I always wash my cashmere sweaters inside out, in a mesh bag on cold in my washer and them lay flat to dry. I use a Conair battery shaver about once or twice a season if there are areas that show lots of pilling. Hope that helps.
ive had bad experiences with the thin cashmere getting holes-the hoodie and the crew necks. and yet I keep buying from them. I love their linen and their silk. I still get the thick Mongolian sweaters, I have a long from before they made cropped and I have cropped. I do love the look but they pill and lose shape. I am now considering spending more and getting better quality. but your video has me wanting to keep at quince and I have a 10 dollar credit. it is addicting but there is something ... not good.. about the cashmere. I do love the vibe and the Jenni Kayne look though....
I'm sorry to hear that you've had trouble with your Quince cashmere. I haven't experienced any holes, and pilling has been minimal. I have many clients who were buying JK cashmere and found it pilled and stretched out also... at four times the price.
Great question. I feel like some Quince sweaters run true and others run quite oversized. I haven't found anything that I'd say runs small. They are good about stating the fit and their customer reviews are very helpful. And often included customer photos so that you can see the garments on non-models.
They're actually quite different. Some are boxy, others are straighter and more form-fitting. These are the shapes that Ip prefer wearing. And thankfully, there are lots of other brands to choose from if Quince doesn't appeal to you.

I wash mine on cold in my washing machine. Turn inside out and place into a mesh bag (for delicates and sweaters). Dry flat on a towel.
I wish Quince shipped to Australia!
And to Canada
And UK

@@KristenCainStyle I love your channel & your style. Would you do a video on Thanksgiving outfit ideas?
I am new here and love your style. I love cashmere, but the powder blue pleated skirt … Where may I find one of those?

I love Quince but wish they had smaller sizes in their bulky cashmere cardigans. I’m definitely not an xs, but even they were too big!
I'm curious what shoes you would wear with the denim top, bottom and red sweater?

I either drape them over my folding drying rack from IKEA or I spread them out on a clean towel on the floor.
