Please make sure your sister knows how much we appreciate letting us into her home. If I were in the same position, I’m not sure I would make myself so vulnerable. Great to see two sisters working together! ❤
You ladies are very inspiring. I wish you both could come help me clean out/up my garage! I appreciate your sister letting us see the progress she’s making. I know it’s not easy! Much love! 💜💜💜
This series is exceptional. I think we can easily all relate to having purchased a lot of things between the pandemic fright, our fantasy selves, simple accumulation over the years and desire to do more hobbies. You and your sister are adorable and I love that you share the experience by laughing but also being honest about the decluttering. You are both amazing ❤
I giggled and giggled through this entire video! Only with family and dear, dear friends can you laugh along with others about what they think they can wear, use, etc., when you and they know perfectly well it’ll never get used. I’m so happy your sister Sherry is willing to declutter her entire home along with your help. Sisters helping sisters! 🤗 Does Samson have fun there?? I hope so. 😀
Dear Carla's Sister, I want to say how proud of you I am and let you know how much of a blessing you are to let go of stuff to bless those less fortunate...You are a truly beautiful wonderful woman .Much love from Australia
It's funny to see how your normal diplomatic approach melts away and you turn into the clutter police with your sister, lol. You two are doing a fantastic job. I often remind myself that decluttering is like peeling an onion, and the more layers you remove the easier it gets.
I'm adoring this sisterly banter. I'm the organiser and my sister is also the collector. She does so so much for everyone else, she forgets to take care of herself and her space. Love this series and much love to your sister for opening up her home to us! 💓
Oh this one hit home…I had not 1, not 2, not 3…but 4 herbs planters! New and never opened! Oh lord, I laughed so hard…my husband said the same thing to me, “when are you going to be growing vegetables and herbs”. I think I was over zealous on Amazon during the pandemic. Thank you both for sharing, so totally honest and you two are the sweetest. 😊
Carla, I liked your suggestion about storing the same types of things together. That way, you don't needlessly re-buy more of what you already have. I love when you look into the camera and roll your eyes. Without saying a word, you show us how you really feel ... so funny! Thanks again to sweet Sherry for allowing this decluttering to be filmed. Thank you for this very instructive video!
Bless you and your sister for tackling this job of decluttering. Sherry you are doing so well, dedcluttering is like peeling an onion, layer by layer. Biggest thing is not bringing more stuff into home and using what you have. You can do this!
I found my wedding ring in pair of pants that was 2 seconds from being in the donate bag. I couldn’t find it for 10 months. I turned the house upside down and had really given up ever finding it.
@@TracyW-me8br it’s kinda like when seasons change and you put on the winter coat for the first time and voila there’s money in a pocket or something. You’re very fortunate to have found your ring. 🤗

Awesome to see this series and a house being declutterred that has different people with different ages living in. ❤❤❤. You guys done a wonderful job 🎉
I let my parents keep food if it within one year after expiration. However, I put it all on one shelf so they were reminded of what they need to use first. Every week they pulled another few items until it was gone. That was a huge lesson and I am really pleased with their progress. I also helped my mom remove eleven boxes of clothes from her closet. Dealing with messy/hoarded homes is really difficult because you need to change the mindset of the people so they stick with it. Really rewarding to see the shift in perception. Thank you for continuing to inspire progress and celebrate the victories.
Carla, it might be good to put things in filing containers for easy access. Like items with like items. Then your sister can just pull the container out of the closet to get everything she needs and put those things back in the container to put them away. That also helps others in the family to find what they need to clean or whatever. It’s important to remember there are different generations living in the house who also want to use the cleaning items and so on and so forth. Putting them in easy to find easy to access places makes it so much easier to use them and not to double up on things. Also, you need to wipe those cabinet surfaces as there is some staining. This is so inspiring. I had 2 or 3 lifetimes of bathroom soaps too! And clothes, clothes, clothes that I kept _just in case._ Just in case I lost weight, just in case I got invited to a fancy party, just in case, just in case. …. I’ve gotten rid of a bunch of clothes much to my satisfaction! I can’t believe it.
I feel like we desensitize to clutter and almost become blind to it. When we start decluttering we resensitize to it again, which is why it takes several passes to truly get to more of a realistic amount of things we use and have space for. I bet by the time you get to the garage, your sister will be ready to let go of a lot of those things that are unused. These unused items, for me anyway, often represent versions of myself that I would like to be but are unrealistic.
I love how you and your sister share humor while organizing. She’s a special lady to allow all of us into her private life. I would enjoy being her neighbor and yours as well. You both have a joy for life.
Well done. You can push a family member sometimes and it’s great. Your sister was very brave and gave up a lot more in a first pass than most would. I’m pleased she’s agreed to keep going and decluttering. Here’s to the next vid ❤❤
As a hoarder myself, I can tell you that we don’t enjoy it, and we get very frustrated and overwhelmed trying to fix it. You are great for helping her and being respectful. The being respectful part is huge.
Thanks! I already loved your channel, but this series, I’m enjoying the most! You’re sister seems to be such a wonderful giving person and it’s so great to see the family helping her but in the warmest, kindest way. ❤
Wow. I find it very helpful to have a helper. Someone to ask " When was the last time you used this?". " What was your plan for this? ....Have you done said plan? ". Thank you for sharing this positive teamwork.
The best part of this is how kind and understanding you are with your sister. She's so gracious to allow you to film this process, it can be quite difficult to let items go and her mindful attitude helps a LOT! You're both wonderful, lovely people.
I’m loving it, maybe after the decluttering series you girls can go back and clean cupboards shelves and add contact paper and make them pretty 👍🏼❤️😉🇨🇦 help her do some of the painting and home repairs 😉
It's heartwarming to see you and your sister working together. So much respect for each other. Decluttering is not an easy process and your sister is a very brave person!
I’m helping my oldest friend (55 years😳) go through her bedroom. This video made me smile because we’re like sisters. I keep asking her, “am I pushing you?” “Nope, just nudging. “
I've seen many houses like this. It's amazing how having someone who cares enough can help you overcome these giant clutter obstacles. It's a vulnerable thing to do even privately with a professional. What a brave and generous lady to share her journey with the whole dang world. Awesome job!
Wow! What a great donation of coats as it’s getting cold. I help at a thrift store, and we sell a lot of coats! I’m really enjoying these videos with your family 😊
A small tip that I used to clear up my shower gel/ liquid soap hoard: I HIGHLY recommend to get a huge soap pump bottle and a shower gel bottle and decant both into their respective bottles (if they are of the same variety respectively). It took me a year to use it all up but I did it and now normalized the supply I have going again (I don't buy as much, at most I have 5 bottles of each stored for a household of 3).
I am glad to see you can have some fun while sorting through things. Sorting and decluttering with family could cause major fights, but you guys seem to be on the same page. It takes time for someone to go through a lot like that. Good for her.
The coats are always hard. The 2nd cabinet easier for sure. I'm having so much fun watching you two together. I'm looking forward to next week. It would be pretty challenging just having two closets for a larger home. Hopefully there will be room to relocate the hallway shelf so it will feel more open and less challenging to carry items through there to the front door, or from the front door to the back.
Yeah, I've been waiting! You ladies are doing such a great job. This is so common. We've been married over 40 years, trust me , I'm going through the same thing! Thanks for opening your home to us. It's nice to be reminded I'm not the only one. ❤❤
"You can run but you can't hide" 🤣 Oh Carla, I love your channel so much. Thanks for keeping it real and being so inspiring on how to have a logical approach to decluttering and keeping it fun. Your sister is doing awesome and I cant wait to see the amazing progress continue.
Lovely sisters, great vibes, awesome job decluttering, Samson is the cutest, and as usual the choice of music is of exceptional taste! I love your videos and once again I really enjoyed watching your content!❤️
A good declutter indeed. Very lovely that your sister allows you to film the process. One thing I would do is write today’s date on the boxes that went into the garage, if it isn’t completed by six months it can be donated!! A lovely vlog x
Your sister has done SUCH an amazing job, she gets better at the decision making every time and I'm sure she's going to be so much happier in her space when all the hard work is done. So nice of you to offer her this help, sometimes it's hard to give/get this help from family. But she has been great to watch through this process! Congrats to her!
It is a process!!! Your sister is very brave to put herself out there. You guys are doing an awesome job. I think it’s great that you set a timer for items she thinks she will use. And then if not hopefully she will then be ready to let go.
The lady laughing made me smile, she has a great laugh. Is great of you to help your sister. I'm in the middle of decluttering myself and like your sister, found things I forgot about. I now feel so much relief.
I see a pile of blessings in the form of warm clothes and coats. Contrary to popular belief, it does indeed get cold in Southern California. My kids’ schools do coat drives every year here in San Diego.
It was a lot of fun to watch how much progress your sister is making thank you for sharing!❤ It's so nice of you to help her out with Samson your adorable❤ supervisor! I'm sure she feels encouraged when seeing such great results. Take care and wishing you a wonderful week from Ontario Canada. 🌼🌟🌻

Your lovely sister actually looks younger after every declutter video; like the weight of the items in each room leaving is taking years of stress along with it. Wonderful to see ❤

I enjoy your vids and so love your loving and respectful interactions with your family members. Best to all of you!
Ok, I myself have a sun oven. Here in So Cal you can use it pretty much year round because we always have sun. Just for fun I will set it up on the patio or in the yard and cook a meal just to keep my skills up if there’s a big power outage! My little nieces loved watching a loaf of bread bake bc the top is clear and they could watch it. I hope Sherry has some fun with hers! Loving this little series with Sis 😊
Another great job by you and your sister. I love how much fun you had working together. She did really good for it being her first time decluttering. As a side note, your sister has some really beautiful art pieces on her walls and as she declutters more, those will become even more of a focal point in the room.
I just love your sister! She has the sweetest sense of humor 😂 It warms my heart when you playfully pick on her, but she already knows what you’re about to say, so she starts laughing before you start LOL!
Your sister is doing GREAT! Love you guys going back and forth 😂. That was me when I started my decluttering process. Hey sis, you are blessed and appreciate you for sharing your space❤️💐
Nothing wrong with being a prepper! It’s extra work, to keep up with it, food items rotated, etc. but I think your sister has the right idea (as long as she ‘s comfy and has space in her home, of course)
I've been helping my parents declutter their home, and my mom is the exact same type of "buyer" its a challenge to clean it all, but they are so thankful once its organized and clean! Its hard to know what you have when it's not organized. Thank you and to your sister for sharing her home and this process!
Great job sisters working together and having fun. I applaud your sister in her willingness to take a personal look at her buying habits and not using what we buy. It was I was looking at myself. Thanks Carla.
Great job! I love how you two work together. Two suggestions, though: 1) Buy a pack of matching hangers. (They're cheap at IKEA.) They elevate any closet. 2) Take everything out of the toiletries closet and paint the shelves. It will make everything sparkle.
My mom was just like this! The memories and the laughter when we’d be going through a closet or cupboard and I’d ask her how many she needed! Lol! I now have her lifetime supply of soap and I will probably pass it on to someone when I go in 20’ish years! 😂 bless every one of us!
I'm in a decluttering group and the items that your beautiful sister is planning on doing, is her "fantasy self." I have scrapbook items that I want to do, I want to be that person who has scrapbooks for memories (my fantasy self). I decided if I haven't done anything with it in 6 months, then I will bless someone that will actually use it. You and your sister make me smile and laugh, and I want to say Thank you both!! Your sister is doing great! ❤🎉

Thank you Carla's sister for this awesome series, showing us that you CAN overcome the hoarding mindset that 2020 trauma gave us. You are doing amazing!!
This is great. You two are hilarious. And the garage will be the final video in the series, where you declutter everything you put there today as a future project! Ha Ha Ha
I’m so proud of your sister. This can be so hard. Easy to look at someone else’s stuff and make choices, much harder with your own. Hey Carla! And Sis! 👋🏾 I hope all is well. You guys are doing a great job. So proud of your Sis for being open, honest and fair to herself. She’s doing AWESOME at letting go of stuff. Y’all are comical. All the best moving forward! 🫶🏽🩵👍🏾

As a side note, your sister has some really beautiful art pieces on her walls and as she declutters more, those will become even more of a focal point in the room.
Glad that your sister is always so positive about her decluttering.😅
I just love your sister! She has the sweetest sense of humor 😂 It warms my heart when you playfully pick on her, but she already knows what you’re about to say, so she starts laughing before you start LOL!
You are giving your sister such a huge gift! Thank her for letting us in on this project!!!
Her house is actually really cute, can't wait to see how it looks when it's all organized!
Your sister is doing GREAT! Love you guys going back and forth 😂. That was me when I started my decluttering process. Hey sis, you are blessed and appreciate you for sharing your space❤️💐
I am here for this series. It is so satisfying to see someone start their decluttering journey.
I love this series! Your sister is so brave for doing this on camera. I can’t get over how much your voices sound alike, too!
Lol your banter about the stove/cooking with the sun and your glances into the camera made me chuckle. Your sister seems like such a lovely lady ♥️
Nothing wrong with being a prepper! It’s extra work, to keep up with it, food items rotated, etc. but I think your sister has the right idea (as long as she ‘s comfy and has space in her home, of course)
Your sister is so sweet. I don’t think she’s a hoarder she is so easy going letting things go. Love her personality
Laughing so hard over the interaction between you and your sister. Thank you to both of you for being yourselves and a huge thank you to your sister for allowing us into her home. Great video.
Ha Ha Ha
Wish I had a sister like you, Carla, to help me go thru my stuff. You are a great sister.
I’m so proud of your sister. This can be so hard.
Easy to look at someone else’s stuff and make choices, much harder with your own. Girl, I’m sure you’ll go through those clothes again in the near future and donate some more. It’s a process.
Little by little, one thing at a time.
Carla, I love your hair in this video. ❤
Thanks much for sharing! It's amazing to see the things we store but never use! I am looking forward to next week's edition.
Great job! Having only one storage closet is a challenge but you found a way to work it out!
Yay, another declutter. You’re sister is so sweet. Cant wait for the next one ❤❤❤❤
Hey Carla! And Sis! 👋🏾 I hope all is well. You guys are doing a great job. So proud of your Sis for being open, honest and fair to herself. She’s doing AWESOME at letting go of stuff. Y’all are comical. All the best moving forward! 🫶🏽🩵👍🏾
I love your sister’s heart and she has a great attitude. Thank her for letting us into her life and space. Please help her get one of those herb gardens setup😊
