- Hi guys! This is our first time fostering. I have wanted to do it for so long and I am so happy that we finally have the opportunity. We already love this little girl so much! She is a Russian Blue and we named her True. She will be available for adoption as soon as she is slightly older, has recovered from illness, and is more socialized.I will update this section later tonight with lots of information on how to foster and why it's awesome! XX

There's something like sadness or concealed wisdom in the cat's eyes that makes her unique and adorable.

When I met nick he asked me if I would ever get rid of my cats! lol....a lot has changed. ❤️❤️
Nick is so sweet haha. My husband was the same when we met- didn’t want to live with my two cats but now he loves them so much..except for when they vomit...they they become “your cats” all over again lol
Ours puke constantly...occasionally Nick cleans it up 😩

I adopted a Russian blue last year. He is such a unique little ham! One year later he still sleeps under the bed in a messenger bag (which is also where he stashes his stolen treasures). Enjoy your time with her and thank you for sharing this! ❤️
Omg that's so cute 😭😭 Russian blues are so beautiful and interesting. My other cat Hannalee carries her toys around and sleeps with them. I can't handle it! Much love XX
animals have pure spirits, I had a very traumatic upbringing and my cats and dogs nurtured and saved me, I'm an animal empath....I worked as a pta in animal therapies...ty for saving this little one's life, so many are in need...we adopted two shelter cats and as I crossposted shelter cats and dogs out of time, there was a little pittie in Downey L.A. six years ago, who was out of time due to overcrowding, despite getting a perfect score on her behavioral...I didn't know anything about pitties, but couldn't see a gentle healthy dog put down for no reason...so we adopted her to save her life, thinking I'd find her a forever home....I was very cognizant of my cats and did a lot of research on introducing a new dog safely etc..well, after six weeks my cats fell in love with her and she is like their mother....we knew we had to keep her forever....so many loving, gentle souls in shelters...True is so sweet, ty for sharing...you have a beautiful heart Julia

Absolutely the best kind of cats...hands down. I've had two blues.
I've always said that mass media should create "no pet animals adoption" campaigns, in order to aware people not to buy an animal if they're not completely sure and totally able to keep them properly; in short, to prevent superficial parents mostly to buy animals to their children as if they were toys to be thrown away when bothered by them.

I just found this video on Nov 2018 and I thought it is so sweet. I myself am a cat person, became close to one because of my partner. Even though we also have dogs, my kids and I are all cat people. I knew Nick was in love from the first image of him petting the kitty because that is exactly how we all reacted to a 3 week old kitty we rescued from the street when the kids were little. She's 9 now and I swear she understands everything!
our city has a 98% adoption rate and we have to fly in small dogs from California to meet the demand for people wanting to give them homes. A huge part of our success is multiple free spay/neuter clinics and low income clinics through the year. Most are around $30 and include vaccinations.

I fostered an adorable long haired tabby, white and orange. He was super feisty, and when I found him a home after about a month or so I was so sad and missed him so much. Silver lining? The girl who adopted him became one of my best friends ever.

I ADORE cats !! I would have my house full of rescue cats if I could .... I rescued my feline son from the streets literally .... He was living in the street next to my house in Portugal, full of ticks and with half of his tail missing ( some nasty human did it .... #humanssuck ). I took him to the vet, got him vaccinated, treated and neutered and flew him to the UK where I live at the moment. It cost me a fortune in vet bills, quarantine him for a month and flights but it was money well spent. I love him so much and I spoil him rotten .... He is my angel :)

My mom's boyfriend saved a a kitten a couple years ago. He found her in a box in the rain under a truck. We almost gave her up because we already had one cat but I'm so glad we kept her because she's still this cute ass little nut she's always been. I dont want her to ever grow up😆.

You said Nick HAD a severe cat allergy. Does that mean he's cured himself? And if so how did he do it? This is something I've been trying to do myself.
He acclimated to them after living with them! He still has allergies but isn't affected by the cats much. There are also certain breeds of cats which are considered hypoallergenic - we have one - a Russian blue (still a rescue).
How did Nick get over his allergies?
He used to take allergy meds (Zyrtec) regularly when we got our first place but now he rarely takes them and when he does it's usually more for dust/seasonal allergies. I always assumed his body acclimated to the cats over time. Hannalee sleeps in our bed almost every night and on his pillow during the day and he never has issues with it. I do regularly sweep and vacuum to try and keep hair and dander to a minimum. He says that he occasionally has allergies to other people's cats. Not sure if it's related to the breed or just because he is not used to being around those other animals. XX
bambifromhell I'm allergic to cats but we've got 5 fur babies. You just kind of get used to each individual cat and the allergy fades for that specific cat, but with new cats I have to drink allergy meds until I'm used to that cat again. Unfortunately for me I cannot have the cats sleep in bed with me because that still makes me really sick. Couch cuddles only.

Alessandra Stern she was sick with a URI when we got her but antibiotics cleared it in a couple weeks
