Another great video Greg and Lou 👍 when you tested the sausage Louie recognised his name and took a lot of interest in the TV I think we’re going to have to have Linzi’s sausage score 😀 Looking forward to seeing you both very sooooooooon Very best regards Louie and his poo pickers 👍🍟😀🐾❤️🍺🌭
I think it should be The Louie Sausage Score - as he's often there to test them, whereas I'm at the other side of the World in NZ - I'm sure Cooper (@Gadget John on tour) will be happy to help out too 😀🐾🌭
Hi Greg another great video thank you so much for the shout-out your help and advice with my UA-cam channel has been invaluable you are without doubt an absolute gentleman thank you. Happy travels 🤓🤙🍻
I was enthralled by your build videos and was a little unsure if I would follow your globe trotting series. Very pleasantly surprised, they are great. Thanks for sharing with us all. Just noticed your number plate - neat.
Yay! Fame at last!! Glad you enjoyed the trip - and the last sausage before America 😬 I really enjoyed my trip to the Fort - a friend I worked with at the time lent me a guidebook and told me of lots of amazing places to visit - I wish I'd discovered the Algarve earlier, only had a week of winter sun there not long before I emigrated to NZ. It was a sundial at the top of the battlements, but the big one in the courtyard was built by Henry the Navigator a Portuguese Prince in the 1400's (according the the museum there when we visited...) It had a mast and a sail mounted in the centre and he spent several years monitoring the wind directions at different times of the day before setting off on a voyage of exploration along the coast of Africa - I think he was the one who figured out the trade winds - and had smaller lighter ships built that could sail closer to the wind - @onemanandhiswhippet would love it. 😬⛵🗺
Great info. I find it strange (and frustrating) that youtube vloggers don't just google for info when their there/know their going there, and then tell their subscribers the info, rather than leave them out on a limb
That is the most we have paid per night on a camp site. Most were €7 and some as cheap as €4. But we only used them for the hot showers. 95% of the time we camped for free and had free services too 😀
really great video greg thinking of following your route when we get another van we did portugal in our last van a ford globecar but we hav'nt done the west coast yet.
I would not have guessed the end of the world be so beautiful! The European RVs look so much better than American RVs. Same for the camp sites. Great video!
Just love your videos Greg!! You have probably been asked before but what is the lovely guitar music you used? We are 80% way through our conversion of a Citroen Relay! Just got our V5 back and we are legally a 'motor caravan'! Yay!!! You have 'guided' us through every stage! You deserve a Camper Conversion Knighthood!! Brenda and Desi
You and Lou both appear so relaxed. It took a little while, but it seems that you've found a nice rhythm. And those parking locations? A-maz-ing. We don't have anything like these in the States :( Anyway, I wanted to pass on that I caught myself just grinning away while watching your latest episode. Thanks for that :) Best wishes for continued good weather and great adventures.
Hi Greg and Lou. Really enjoying your videos. Major case of deja vu with this one. Wen and I walked the Rota Vincentina which ends at that lighthouse and we walked on the beach you liked. We will definitely go back to Portugal in the van after CQ.
Hi Greg, I think it's the only fortified castle with only one wall, because behind it is sheer cliffs, Which nobody could climb, try out the fish restaurants on the beach, safe travels 😀🇬🇧

Another wonderful addition to the trip Greg, cheers mate. So much free there, certainly won’t find that hear in England ... look forward to seeing the next video 👍🏼😊
First :) Beach looks amazing, you both look very relaxed living the dream. Hey I'm interested in seeing how you're stacking up your bikes and stuff in the Garage...is it mayhem or Greg perfect?
You were recommended by " Cruising on the Cut" - which I have just stumbled upon. Thankyou for your videos. Travel well. I am gathering up all sorts of information for my e - folding bike ( haven't bought it yet) Tour of Europe, from England to........, Well, at least Montecarlo, starting with and using Munich as a base.
I i was there in 1997 by hitchhiking from Poland - I was 15 and there were no google maps. I made some shopping in Sintra (?) with a plan to camp on Cabo for a couple of days. Oh well, no beach, no sand just a bloody cliff. Funny times ;)
one observation greg ? when going from camping albufeira to the beach the red cycle path is on the left going down to town lol and if you had taken a left before Carrapateira village to Praia do Amado you would have found a much more accessible surfer beach with surf shops and snack bars and plenty of parking
We've been to Sagres (which btw, is also the name of a beer brewery) several times. Our "welcome home ritual" was having a walk from the town to the lighthouse to have a Bratwurst (well, being a German myself that's a must ;o). Nice, less overcrowded town (TBH, our stays were in the spring or autumn). And the "Fortaleza" was a maritime school at around the time of Vasco da Gama. Portugal is a great place as the distances to interesting towns arent to far away from each other. Remembering the city of Evora :o) Thx, for sharing your trip & good luck!
Hi Greg, I'm really enjoying your videos, especially of this trip. I've got a couple of years to go before I can follow in your footsteps. I'm interested to know what made you choose the Sprinter? Did you look at any other makes, like a Transit, a Peugeot etc? I must admit, your Sprinter looks fantastic, and your layout seems just about perfect. Thanks, and keep the videos coming please!
Love the vids guys. Greg if you aint done it yet you need to remap your van for fuel economy 10-15% fuel savings for all those miles with a bit more power.
I see that you're enjoying yourselves roaming around Europe, and it sounds so gooooood!!! Just one question. On your original plans there was a space for carrying/storing motorbikes, which is what attracted my eye! Is it still valid? Are your using motorbikes for short rides when you're parked? Just curiosity! Have fun!
I am discovering parts of Europe I haven't visited (yet) really enjoying following along with you. Could we hear a bit more about the food/drink you encounter? Can't wait to see what comes next!
When I visited about 18 years ago the museum at the fort said it was a compass with a mast and sail in the middle - used by Prince Henry the Navigator to figure out wind direction at different times of the day - and later the Trade Winds.

Really enjoying these videos Greg. My van is almost ready and I'm saving a lot of these locations to google maps and hoping to visit a few of them myself one day.
If you would like a change of scenery, take the road to Aljezur, then inland towards Monchique on the N267, keep following N267 to Sao Marcos da Serra. From there you can go back to Albufeira via IC1. You will see an Algarve that you not expected. I will wave if you pass by :-)
They didn't have much of a selection when we got there, only two choices, no curry ones. Out of season, I guess so not a lot of vendors there with full stock.
Hi Greg Apologies if this has been asked a 100 times. I love biking and would think about strapping them to back of van to save space, but now seeing your fold away ones are they good/comfortable for long distance for exercise. I like to do 15/20 miles a day and could I have a link please if so

Did you sit on the big chair at worlds end? We went in 2017 on a private tour. I thought the road was a bit rough but lots of coaches visit every day. The weather can get bad, there was a photo of a wave hitting the lighthouse and it is over 100 feet above sea level. In bad weather the area is closed off
Another great video. Im so jealous. Its amazing how affordable the paid sites are and the facilities provided. Im paying double and treble that for caravan sites in uk with way less facilities. It just goes to show how much a rip off the UK is compared to Europe.
Hi Greg, How have you been getting on with your shower? Do you use it much or do you use on site facilities more often? I ask as I am currently debating if I should install one in my van. Good travels! Steve.
Hi Steve, we have used the shower a few times and it works well. We can both shower on one tank of hot water. It’s nice to have a private room to go to the toilet and to have a strip wash. We both are pleased that we fitted it and have used it every day. 😊

When you said that you can't go further south or west in the peninsula, it's not correct. If by peninsula you mean Iberian peninsula (Portugal and Spain), Gibraltar is the most southern place. Hi Greg, yes, that is a sun dial in the old fort. By all accounts each segment was planted with different flowering plants (each segment one type).
