    my only gripe with d5 is that it doesn't have built-in megascan/sketchfab integrations. you can still manually import assets but it's quite time consuming, and you have to separate/delete the megascan assets using tools like maya or blender.

    • @tjeerdroukens5110
      @tjeerdroukens5110 Рік тому

      Only Twinmotion has that and that's because Twinmotion, Quixel and Sketchfab are owned by EPIC GAMES. they will never sell their products to their competitor.
      They are however working really hard on adding more assets. at the moment they are gathering information for a really big landscape update

    • @DesignGoBrr

      You need separate materials to be associated with separate objects in Rhino (or any other software) before the export into D5. If everything in your 3D modeling software is 1 material - then all objects will import joined.

      I don't think that it's how D5 works. It applies materials per-object-basis rather than per-sub-object-basis. Best way to solve this would be to use a different wall finish style for that specific wall surface.

      Yup, that's how D5 works, thats normal. The single object that you get in D5 is actually separated into separate elements/materials ( these are inherited from Rhino layers). Even though you cannot visually see the separate objects in the layer manager, you can still apply different materials to them in the viewpoer
