As a man I am longing for the feminine to have the space to come forward and be the leader.
To heal mother earth , to revere and delight in her is a feminine quality and right now the emergence of feminine power is urgent in a way it probably has never been before.

As you have said: There are no words to describe my interbeing with the Mother. My family is no longer. I meditate on the love of the Mother within and give that love when I help feed the homeless people in my community. I don't stop there I give it to all sentient beings and to you.
    Namaste

Lama Tsultrim Allione is such a nice lady, with many miles and rough experiences behind her. I have enjoyed her teachings and talks for many years. I also keenly wish that both in society and politics, as well as in dharma, women will be equal with men.
I have seen a number of feminism related talks by Lama Tsultrim but I never really understood what she meant with it. Despite of her books and many lectures, it hadn't become clear to me what she was after but this one clarified it.
I'm quite confused about many points in this lecture and I wonder if she herself understands what she is after. I mean she discusses about "sacred feminine" but only a little of it has actually anything to do with dharma. It would be clearer if she was talking about equality of women in society, politics and finance, rather than "sacred feminine" because it's not exactly "sacred masculine" that has caused and is causing all the problems to women, their bodies, their expression and so on. So lets be clear about the problem.
Another thing in this lecture that was off putting were some remarks that I think are misandristic. There were several points in the talk when I felt that she was bending some facts to make her points clearer but on couple occasion she was making very misleading statements.
For example, at one stage she discusses motherhood as a job, and how hard it is. She says that some do not regard being a mother a real job and that it actually is harder than any job men have. Excuse me?
Another example: At one stage she talks about sexuality and how in some context young men have been taken to "holy prostitutes" who taught them to have sex. Well, all right, sexual education and learning is good but there is nothing said about the sexual education of women. It would be better to say that human beings, both genders, can and need to learn sexuality as an art, not just men.
It is in points like these that her message becomes twisted and misleading. Not discussing the issues properly, in detail, does harm to the actual cause of achieving gender equality.
Thank you and all the best in your dharma work.

Fortunately genders, male and female are ultimately not real.
And that mother thing? Certainly not compassion, if it's just for YOUR baby/child, as it generally is with human mothers. They can very comfortably watch other children being treated badly as long as the own child is okay. So, from a spiritual POV that isn't a special achievement, just another form of samsaric attachment.
