I discovered your content a few weeks ago while I was looking for Deadlock guides and I have to say litterally ALL of your videos are absolutely peak content. Thanks so much for all this, keep up that awesome job dude
I played a similar build while i was learning the game i think its one of the most newbie friendly builds to understand the game and mechanics like spirit vs gun and how lifesteal works. Good video as usual
The main reason I use ricochet isn't to do damage to heros or to farm (although that's a nice bonus). It's to get more lifesteal and be more tanky. Ricochet combined with leech makes you almost invincible in crowded fights as long as you're not under CC. With Infernus, a CC isn't even that detrimental since your damage keeps ticking.
@@jcmonay3773thats exactly why I bought it late like I said in the video, applying stacks on multiple heroes greatly increase your survivability in teamfights
@@AverageJonas Yeah I agree with what you said in the video at the end, it would going the extra mile in the late end game, but you guys were able to end early.
I have been spamming this build for like 3 days since I found it ingame and it feels amazing. This is the most consistently powerful I have ever felt in this game. Thank you for sharing. I expect 2 things to bring this down in the future: - Infernus is really strong right now with the recent across-the-board nerfing of gun damage. Debatably the strongest character in the game for many reasons at the moment. Valve will probably reel him in a bit soon, which might hurt the viability of nonstandard builds like this. - People will adapt. They will learn that Infernus is not a fragile DPS machine hoping to stay at the outskirts, and start treating him more like a tank that is actually hoping you dive him. People do not expect Infernus to stand his ground early game. You can out-attrition almost anyone, and those you can't usually cannot stop you from flame-dashing away since they can't burst you. There are so many times midgame where an enemy will show up to defend their walker and start harassing me thinking I'm going to run away. Instead of run, I harass back, and 5 seconds later they're half HP, toxiced, on fire, slowed, and I'm full HP and still have all of my cooldowns. Super fun.
Just been getting into infernous and i went dot builds and just get outhealed every game or stunned 24/7 from krill or abram or something similar so cant wait to try this build out.
I would always prioritize escalating resilience over bullet armor since Infernus has such a high rate of fire he's pretty much always going to walk around with max stack 40% bullet resist.
Sometimes I get distracted and forget to buy items.. till I notice I'm at 8k so I buy ricochet as my first item. Then snowball like a monster and end the game 20k higher than anyone in the match
PLEASE! make a gun build (and/or) guide for Wraith. i think u are putting a lot of thought into your builds compared to other content creators. i really like watching your vids since u got a calm attitude and pleasant voice to listen to. keep it up!!!
Card Wraith is so far superior than gun Wraith there is no reason to play it. The current card Wraith might actually be a top 3 build across all characters. Maybe when she gets nerfed gun Wraith will return but until then theres no reason to play any other version of Wraith.
I also use this build and only get ricochet mid-late game depending on how it’s progressing. I go for leach instead of ricochet because it’s more forgiving and lets you stay in game longer. If you can afford go with both. Eitherway definitely focus on afterburn, any other build won’t show his full potential.
another detail that is quite important about lifesteal/ healing heroes is that resistency is always better than raw hp. i see many people not get improved bullet or spirit but you have to realize that 100 hp regened with spirit lifesteal is more valuable when you stack resistencies.
Jonas your videos are always S tier. I sincerely appreciate your detail where it's needed. A perfect balance of detail and consice content. Which Is very hard to do. Thankyou for your hard work.
Infinite ammo during sliding is such a huge thing for infernus, esp when taking camps when skills are on CD. Keeps your burn up without depleting your ammo
it is... group stun + allows you to act first (eg steal the rejuv). the amt of games ive comeback from just from an infernus ult rejuv steal is crazy. but you have to use it properly 👀
Thoughts on working inhibitor into the build? Since your afterburn already lowers Spirit damage output, having inhibitor lower damage from gun and spirit even more while also being tanky makes me think you'd be actually unkillable
Think headshoot booster is only for winning trade in lane, think rapid rounds/hollow point/monster round have better use outside the lane, considering your build you dont buy any gun item and kept the headshot booster for 30 min+.
I also seen some player that sell headshot booster in midgame for another tier 1 weapon item like basic mag/rapid round when they have abit extra gold at shop. Paying 250 to swap to higher value tier 1 midgame seem kinda worth it.
I just played a game with an Infernus who also thought he was unkillable (and he sort of was for 80% of the game) but then I got Sharp Shooter, Ricochet, Glass Canon, Leech playing as a McGinnis and then I was the unkillable
These types of Infernus builds basically require the enemies to spend their precious souls on anti heal to even deal with Infernus effectively at all. Even then, Infernus still might be able to out heal them unless their opponents all picked up two, even three of the antiheal items.
Seems like theres 2 builds atm - 3 Max passive afteburn with soul shredder and toxic thay scales really hard -2 Build max bc flame charge does sick dmg with leech some resistence and a shit tonne of spirit
You don’t need to force bad fights if you have better map macro than the enemy team. You just win slowly and safely:) also you can’t always predict what items are gonna be in a future situation either, the whole point is to be ready for fights if you have to. The build is literally called tank infernus
@@AverageJonas fair. early ricochet on infernus really accelerate your farm that much means you can get the tank items faster that you need. you'll be fighting creeps/jungle anyway so i just dont get why the spirit bullet armor that early
@@rylul9519because then it would be the same build everyone else uses and that defeats the entire purpose of theorycrafting new playstyles and discovering new ways to play the game:) gotta always experiment to push the meta forward!

Replace leech with Inhibitor for damage reduction

There is probably a world where you can get both but you are forgetting the HP boost from vitality items too!
But in a tank build id always prioritize permanent stat over situationals, good idea tho! Ill try it
I do feel like if you’re engaging with your 2, not shooting before, you’d just get popped, damage is nice and all but the util gun items are too good
I think escalating resil is a must in bruiser builds but i agree with jonas on tanks being better with guaranteed stats.

Love your guides. Keep posting more insteresting approaches on playing the heroes. Thx
Good build, Jonas. This was also a good infernus guide overall, clarified some things for me.
I would love more videos like this, I've learned so much more about the game from this video alone!
This video was very helpful to help me quickly understand Infernus. Thank you!

My go-to counter is toxic bullet plus healbane. For 4250, it pretty much counter lifesteal/healing heroes. I basically bought it on every hero.
So I made a build and it's almost identical to this one, good to know I undestand at least something in this game
Nice job!
