I have a HP ProBook 4710S and it is practically identical in dissasembly. I have a USB port damaged (I think it's physical) and two vertical lines on my display, which dissapear when I flip the display. Now I know the USB is attached to the Motherboard, so I need to disassemble it out to fix it. Probably the same goes with the display.

This can be arranged from the back or I have to take apart from the front where is the keyboard? I appreciate your response. thanks

You can also check for the parts on Google Images to learn how they looks like. Also if lines disappear while moving display, probably it is a video cable issue.

There is no way you can access it from outside.More likely you will need to remove also motherboard.... Sometimes it can be broken. Sometimes it can be bend and you just need to bend it back ... make a research how much case bottom cost etc.

I am not sure you will be able to upgrade cpu from gen 1 to 3rd.... it usually needs another motherboard.
