As hurtful as it was for Heafy, I miss his original screams like this! So pure right out of the records
It sounds horrendous...
me too, it's amazing. his new screams just don't hit hard like the old
@@OndaAparte nah, but your garbage opinion is...
@@Ascendancy- yea, the new screams just have no power behind them
Yeap, new screams r mehh, but at least we got to grow up with this Trivium, lets be greatful, it was amazing 🙋♂️
Declaration is a masterpiece
Probably my favorite song on ascendancy
Too bad travis sped it up like 300%
One of the best tracks ever.. so well written. And the lyrics to go with the times. F the government!
Matt's voice here is insane, so guttural. No wonder he had to see a vocal coach though, he'd be mute by now! Incredible show
None other than Ron Anderson himself 👍🏾🤘🏾
His vocal coach
Trivium opening cob , what a lucky people there. Saw 2 bands in their prime
Eh ada mutilasi jelangkung lagi
@@ryukii2079 wkwkwk 😂
Saw this tour in vancouver, also saw them again a year later opening for in flames with devildriver.
I was there! Unreal show!!
Fr
Never seen Declaration performed live. Great Footage!
I’m glad Matt got his vocal coach to help him out. The strain he’s putting on himself here would’ve been impossible to maintain
Mujhtuba Baksh I am happy too but his scream at this point will always be the best. His scream now sounds great but it doesnt have the power this has
daniel hawkins agree to disagree 😅.
They are playing on super high speed here lol but thats how we all play live at first. His clean vocals now are a little too soft for the parts that he does in the shows now but i’ll take it. Screams are still good
OHH SHIT Trivium paying tribute to Pantera. I forgot his death was around this time. RIP the legend, and RIP his brother Vinnie.
Yeah, it was about a year before. Truly devastating
Despise the bad technique for his throat, Matt's screams during this time were absolutely amazing. You can feel the anger in his voice.
One of my favorite looks for Matt
True
I like how they still have to play in front of the COB banner. But holy fuuuuuuuuuuuck to see 2000's Bodom with Trivium would be fucking sick.
For me it would be an honor
COB and Trivium would be an incredible sight
Damn i wish i wasnt 7 months old when this concert happened in my city
I was 5 I would die to see this live in there prime right now
I saw them 7 months later for the first time in July 2006 at sounds of the underground fest when I was 17. 14 live shows later, meeting the band, and now I’m 33. Time flies.
Dude, we were born two months apart
I was 2 when this record came out i wished I was 18 already
i was there and i was 15 it was a nice show
They posted Declaration with the recording I wanted I can't believe !!
Same here, I waited SO LONG for THIS MOMENT. Declaration as a live recording BEFORE Matt Heafy's VOCALS CHANGED. BEST PRESENT EVER!
Yo I been look for years nice
Trivium still going strong, even to this day.
And still producing high quality music
But will never sound live as good as his kick ass vocals before his voice blow out...
Too bad Matt's voice sucks now
@@rpmartin8650 it sounded fine on the last 2 albums
@@splatbats he uses his old “incorrect” screaming technique on the albums but live he does the safe fry scream which just doesn’t sound as good.

I’m pretty sure that that’s domination, not walk
@@JeromeThrumurgan the timestamps are correct
Thanks
I love older Trivium videos like this because it's just raw energy, but man was the tempo all around the place.
Travis unfortunately kinda sucked 😅 but man the energy is amazing
@@Huntera72 he didn't. His tempo wasn't great but he was a good drummer. Solid speed both in the hands and double kicks and he wrote some cool parts.
Gotta stay true to their idols Metallica!
@@MANGRINDER_band_ Speed doesn't mean shit when you're dragging or going too fast
30:20 - That pantera cover was great!
Both of them are monster in guitar. To much amaze by this band Trivium. 2024 here
Guys Ascendancy and Ember To Inferno were My all time favourite albums to listen Especially of how young they were and they wrote these incredible songs They kicked so much f***ing ass with these songs Trivium will be always be in my heart even when I listen to something else.
And Matt Heafy was like 17 years old when he wrote Ember. Insane talent
This will always be my favourite album and era of Trivium. Ascendancy is a perfect album through and through 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
12:45 WE FINALLY GET TO HEAR HOW TO PRONOUNCE COREYS LAST NAME!
I always mispronounced it.
@@diannaarrow8419 Bolo?
Thank you. Finally a decent live recording of Declaration.
Corey at 29:10 lmao
eh, not with that flag
@@iwillnevergetone5 xd
@@iwillnevergetone5 it was a different time
@@edhance9753 and in that different time, it still represented the same thing. we all remember 2005
@@iwillnevergetone5 cry more. everything has to be about race, amirite?
I was there that night to see children of bodom. I had no idea who trivium was. I've become a huge fan of theirs since this show. So great to see this video.
DECLARATION 😍😍😍
little do they know here, they're about to create the best metal album of all time, Shogun
Still have a album in between but yeah 😂
@@SquidsRightInYaAnime woops :P :P
👍
Ascendancy*
Ascendancy is wayyy better
A masterpiece of Metal
I love how similar Matt sounds live as in the album. Other bands or musical artists in general sound different on stage but matt is pretty much exactly the same
Holy fucking shit, Declaration is amazing !
Even though Matt sounded so raw here, in hindsight he was destroying his voice, that’s why during the Shogun era he wasn’t screaming as much during shows. Getting a vocal coach & living a clean life has added many more years to the bands longevity. Band really hasn’t stopped & there past 3 albums have been amazing ( especially What The Dead Men Say)
I was at this show. Awesome night
This wasn’t just an era for trivium. It was an era for metal.
Hope to have a taste of that with their tour with Bullet next year
God damn, they were so fucking fast back then! So awesome to see an old 2005 show like this!
i saw them on this tour in milwaukee, was a great show!
Love them since 2003
anyone got any Trivium videos from 2003-2004? Never seen a full bootleg from that era.
Second that, Ember era has close to none bootlegs
During QnA live and Heafy said he have that and i remember he mention Sworn,My Hatred,The Storm and almost entirely song from first EP. It make me even mo curious tbh because i really wanted to hear live version of Sworn and The Storm.
TRIVIUM at the start of their career and up until 2011 were fuckimg beasts .. i fucking love ascendancy... Thank you for the upload!!!!
This is awesome.
This is pure gold, thanks for upload 🤘
Declaration @ 24:13 is ❤️❤️
I saw them Live in '06 at the DTE sounds of the underground. Gwar was the opener
Holly fucking shit. This is incredible. Man Matt is just born to live, the guy's full of vitality. Hrs an absolute entity on stage!
them i wish they always like this, matt had such a charisma, corey is a beast as always, paolo with hair and the drummer that always nervous
27:38
Really miss that travis power
But alex is monster machine 😎
30:47 Dimebag was definitely smiling then and there.
To be honest they still do great These days and Improve. But I like the early Trivium both live and Albums more than today. I don‘t know.. music was better and there was more „Fire“ live i think.
YES
He kinda has that 80s Papa Het energy here with the aggression in his voice!
The Deceived still has the best Trivium bridge for me
I've watched this start to finish like 4 days in a row lol
OldGold Trivium \m/
Wow! how Trivium has changed since then! even the big voice went to space.
Saw them the night after. Irving plaza nyc. Best show
The REAL trivium
Travis Smith !!!!!!
i believe that these are dimes actual guitars
Matt actually confirms this in this video. pretty neat !!!!
I remember seeing them around this time open for Coheed and Slipknot.
Killler shit! Ascendency era Trivium is tough to beat.
But let’s be real did Travis know what a metronome is? He jumps by like 20-30 BPM on the reg like what are you doing???
Show foda demais, se tiver algum da época do Shogun posta também.
the dimebag dean guitar
These aren't pkaying Deans, they are Washburn guitars, what Dime used for 90% of his career, Matt is using Dimes Reinventing the Steel one, one of my all time favourites!!!!
@@andreluscombe6143 right, but from 1990 to 1994 it was dean :)
Listening to them doing Pantera on the 16th anniversary of Dimebag's passing.
Dean guitar is one of masterpiece for trivium
まじでカッコいい!早く日本来てくれ!
Real thing is Matt is playing and singing walk
29:06 :D
16:14 fuck yeah
Catch myself wondering whatever happened to travis. I hope he is doing well.
matt’s scream is so fucking good
Travis laughing at Corey's mistake 38:29 hahahah
he was fckin 19 here wtf what a god
MATE ,, matts scream on pull harder is spot on!!!!! song doesnt need to be that much faster though
it's called youth, my fellow comment section.
Youth.
Seriously, I really don’t think they were on coke lmao
Wow. So fast! Still killer though.
I wish he kept those vocals from the crusade album if he was going to stop doing screaming not that Im complaining I still love this band regardless.
Travis absolutely slayed here. It's sad that his playing seemed to get sloppy over time and he got the boot.
he never was sloppy.. right before he left in 2009 all of his live performances that year was the shit...
@@streetcritique3010 If he was never sloppy he wouldn’t have gotten kicked out lmfao
@@finnamory604 He got kicked for having an attitude. He wouldn't play unless he was drinking. Wasn't having a good time until half way through the sets. There are more reasons. But being sloppy was not one of them.
@@finnamory604 he left the band to be in the nasa get your facts right
@@laurentdupont-gagnon7889 where did you find that? Lol
gunshot tempo is out of control lol
they are all on coke lol
@@laurentdupont-gagnon7889 Could be, they were at Download that year but Travis always couldn´t keep the tempo live. He was amazing at writing but live he wasn´t that great.
@@DangeHD all show ive seen of him hes perfect (miss like 5% of the songs) only nick was aweful live
@@laurentdupont-gagnon7889 Travis couldn´t play pull harder live and in this video you can hear how he´s speeding up the songs to almost double the speed. Nick did the same but he also made some unnecessary fills that made him lose tempo. They weren´t bad live, but seeing how Alex plays makes you really see how far apart their skill levels are. Alex is always on time and plays every song in the tempo of the record unlike Nick and Travis.
@@DangeHD because they were all on coke in that era just look how matt sings..
I kinda have a hard time believing this is at 1.0 speed 😀
Una pregunta...¿TAN APURADOS ESTABAN POR TERMINAR EL SHOW?
TODOS los temas estan tocados demasiado rápido, no se dejan disfrutar.
When they got the Dean endorsements and were playing all of dimes guitars
Metronome?
Travis : NO THANKS
Travis with like 3 different tempos per song.💀💀
I miss Matt’s screams
Is it just me, or does Matt look like Kylo Ren here? Regardless, it's still an awesome performance!
this was pinnacle trivium. it’s unbelievable to think this is the same band, considering the stuff they dish up now. it’s a shame, but we’ll always have those first 4 albums and old footage of them where Heafy has a go instead of the monotone vocals he attempts now. truly believe they should’ve hired an actual singer, because Heafy live now is brutally bad 😢
It wouldn't be Trivium without Matt. Plus, he had to change his vocal style.
He sounds fine live, what are you on about? Instead of just screaming out of tune he now knows how to sing......
@@claycountryxwing10 knows how to sing? it’s okay to love a band and defend them, but he can’t sing. he’s so monotone it’s just cringe. he isn’t a singer, but he tries his best to hold it together. he has no range or power on stage, he’s so focused on his posture just to hold it together
@@claycountryxwing10 I’ll always have a special place for trivium. Ember ascendency & crusade still get regular plays. But live now, it’s just a painful struggle. I seen them last year and it’s was just brutally bad listening to Matt singing monotone. He just hasn’t got it live anymore I’m afraid
I understand why Matt has to sing different nowadays, but I think they've lost this energy on stage. Last time I saw them it was a little bit disappointing tbh.
Cool dimebag guitars especially the confederate one! 🤠
not a huge fan of Amon Amarth and usually on more extreme shit even tho i enjoy Trivium and Children of Bodom.. but shit, that should've been a hell of a concert!
The drummer is changing tempo a million times per song lmao glad Alex Bent is sticking with them.
Man they are all coked out hahsh
Love Trivium. Been a fan since 05. Seen em live 14 times
I loved this Era. They had the most character and personality live from here through In Waves.
Now their stage presence is just...meh.
I kinda miss Matt's (Hetfield/Thrash vocal style) he had from 05-09. But I understand why he couldn't maintain that style... sounds strenuous night after night during a lengthy tour cycle.
Yeah the coke across as too rehearsed now, even matts stage movements seem scripted or slightly robotic. Idk.
back when corry was not chubby
you seriously just fat shamed a guitarist in a metal band. get a life dude lol
@@jjschmidli8896 you seriously just white knighted a guitarist in a metal band. get a life dude lol
And when Matt had hair lol
@@guitarist4life00 Paolo too
I see Trivium every time they do a US tour, just saw them again this past May. They are so much tighter as a band now and sound fantastic live. Corey hits all of his leads insanely clean and Matts vocals are better. Alex is leaps and bounds beyond Travis and Paulo is still kicking ass, especially with his vocals. Paulo just had emergency hernia surgery while on tour but didn't cancel, dude is still playing the tour now while recovering. Matt threw his guitar down, jumped off stage and caught a crowd surfer on their US tour this summer because security was terrible. That crowd surfer would've broken his neck, bashed his head open or at least been injured had Matt not done that. The fact that they are good people and actually love their fans makes me like them that much more. They also stream all of their shows live on Twitch for free.
