I'm turning 53 next month, combo to oily skin and I love this!
I'm 39 with very oily skin and I really like this foundation! It blurs pores on me and gives a soft matte finish. I do have to blot, but I always have to blot so that's typical.
Thanks for sharing how the foundation looks after wearing for 24hr. It actually still looks really great after all that time. You are so right about teenagers giving their unsolicited opinions. LOL! I get that a lot from my son. This foundation is now on my list of new makeup to try.
Stephanie, THANKS for this review. I tried this foundation just a couple days ago and I have mature, dry skin with some deep wrinkles. I hydrated my skin very well under this foundation and OMG! This foundation was amazing!! I am a die-hard user of Estee Lauder Double Wear and this one? Compares to it and I LOVE it!! I try not to use powder except on my lower cheeks so I don't exaggerate wrinkles and this foundation was just amazing. Don't hesitate to try it. But, I DID make sure to hydrate well before applying. Good luck :-)
I love that you use it with different primers, it’s so helpful!!
Almost...ALMOST bought this, but then your video pops up!!! Guess I’m not buying it, what a great timing!!! Thank you so so much for reviewing products for us, you really did save us lots of coins!
Thanks for this review, I have used Loreal cosmetics since my teen years and I love it. Still use it up to now in my 40s. Your skin looks beautiful, looks very natural.
I have normal to dry skin and absolutely love this foundation. I am reaching for it over my Estee Lauder Double Wear, Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet, It CC+, and Tarte double duty. On my skin, it is a very close dupe for the Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. Like you, I can put it over just about any primer and get really great wear out of it.
Omg I love this fountain! Have been wearing it every day since I bought it! I don’t even have to powder or put on a primer!
Oh my, thats dedication! Thank you for the review!
I've seen so many reviews of this foundation & your description of how it was for you is spot on to the experience it has with me. I feel like other channels were trying to say what u said but still gave it a thumbs up at the end. It doesn't blur my pores. It doesn't last on my skin. But the finish is so nice! So since I bought it; I do have to maintain it until I find a long lasting foundation that looks great on the skin:)
My skin is quite oily like Risa does and enjoyed it. I use a mattifying primer, definitely powder and a setting spray. It holds up great for me. I agree it doesn’t blur the pores but I’m ok with that. I have been wearing it for a week now and really enjoying it. I love that it doesn’t look cakey by the end of the day.
Love how thorough and honest you are Stephanie!!
Thank you Jennifer!
I have *very* dry skin in the winter and combo skin in the summer. I recently tried this foundation and I love it. I'm 34, so I've got some fine lines, texture, starting to have pore issues, and because I just started using Retin-A, I have some dry, flaky patches. This foundation looks great on top of all my skin problems! I can't wait to wear this in the summer and see if it stays put as well as it does now.
💗 thank you Stephanie for a very thorough review!
FINALLY SOMEONE REVIEW FOUNDATIONS FROM NEW ORLEANS!! I live here as well and I feel like no matter what foundation I try that everyone says is amazing the New Orleans humidity breaks everything down! So glad I found another NOLA girl!!
I feel you! Glad it’s helpful! Thank you!
Yay I’ve been waiting for your opinion on this foundation 🙌🏼🥰
I'm 37 with normal to dry skin and I love this foundation! It even held up 18 hours for my Mardi Gras ride!
Just bought it. I also bought the Maybelline 24 hour about a week ago and really like it, it gives me a slight glow and lasts all day. Hope I like this one too.
Thank you for this review!!! Everyone is loving this, but I have older skin and I like blurring. Blurring is everything!
Alicia Brodie I like to blur my pores as well so I use the tarte timeless smoothing primer underneath and it’s looks really beautiful on me.
I LOVE this foundation!
I am combo to oily over 50 and it worked great for me. I love the skin like finish. I got very little breakthrough. Great color selection. Not breaking the bank. Overall this is a nice foundation. Good value. Its a win
I have seen so many good reviews on this makeup that I will definitely try it when it comes to Australia.
Enjoyed watching this foundation road test and love watching all your foundation reviews. You sacrificed your skin to test the foundation for 24 hours. 😯. I hope your skin didn’t suffer too much from testing the foundation for so long. I have Rosacea like you and wearing makeup for a long time irritates and dries out my skin. Thank you for your honesty and thorough reviews. When you have time and want to review another foundation would you please consider reviewing the new Dior forever foundations (matte and glowy finishes), the reformulated Nars Sheer Glow and the Laura Mercier Lumiere foundation. Thank you 😘☺️🤗
I can’t wait to try this..I have great luck with L’Oreal! So excited for it.
Let me know what you think if you try it!
This foundation is peaking my interest. There’s so many different opinions on it. Some love it some hate it. I might have to try it for myself
JessBzBeautyRoom Over40Beauty&Makeup try the Cover Girl Active foundation if you want some great drugstore options. Prefer that over this one, but like the freshwear quite a bit.
Nice!!!! Thanks for the recommendation !!! I definitely will ❤️
I’ve worn it about 3 times and I like it, not my favorite but will continue to wear it. Looks great on you.
Thanks so much Shelby!
I agree. I love the finish of this on my skin, great shade match (rare for me, especially at the drugstore), decent smoothing with a good primer, nice coverage and natural finish. But I was disappointed with how oily I got after a few hours despite using my best oil controlling products in conjunction with it.
I ordered this foundation a week or so ago and think I will be getting it tomorrow. I can't wait to try it. I ordered it in 2 different shades. I hope I love this one. I have heard so many positive reviews about it. I will write back after I try it and let you know how I feel about it. I thought it looked really pretty on you.
Thanks for reviewing it. I haven't tried it yet but I want too.
Great review! I've been enjoying this foundation. I wouldn't say it's my absolute favorite, but it's very nice. The fragrance is a bit strong for me and I'm not usually super sensitive to fragrance.
Lol, the first time I’ve seen 24 hour wear for real. LisaJ just duped this for the LaMer foundation so I had to run over and watch your video to find my shade match so I can order it. You are so funny and natural in these older videos!
I have combination skin with dry patches at age 46. I love this foundation! I typically wear high end foundations and I think this one competes well! I think everyone is different and for the price, it’s worth a shot!
Julie Chambers this is a dupe for Armani Luminous Silk foundation. You can find many dupes in the Maybelline and Loreal line since Loreal owns over 70 companies, one being Armani.
@@mishmash3968 thank you for telling us this!!!
Idk how many times I’ve tried to watch this at night but your voice is so calming it puts me to sleep lol! I once again I’m trying to see if you recommend it or not and if so for what skin types lol!
I am 47 years old and I have dry skin. This foundation is perfect. It lasts a long working day and always looks fresh. Greetings from Cologne in Germany
Great review! My dry mature skin in an arid climate looks wonderful in this foundation. Only drawbacks are the fragrance is a bit too much for me and not sure if, because of the ingredient list, this wouldn’t break me out if I wore it on the daily. ✨😍✨
I’m 41 and I have combo dry skin and this looks beautiful on me. It’s right up there with my NARS natural radiant. I really like the finish and it doesn’t cling to dry areas for me.
It is very much like the nars radiant longwear foundation, except it lasts longer than 2 hours on me 😊
What primer/setting products do you use with it?
I use Maybelline baby soft sometimes and revolution hyaluronic setting spray
You said so many good things about it, I’m surprised that you wouldn’t repurchase it. From what I could tell, it looked really nice on you. Thanks for the review.
It was the blotting and the pores. Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless checks those boxes a little better for me personally. Thank you!
Great review ❤️❤️ and like always you look stunning 😊😍🔥🔥
Thank you! 😘
I have normal to slightly dry skin. I agree, it was okay but not great. I actually took it back. It didn’t blur, looked just ok on my skin, it wore off my nose easily and didn’t care for the smell. Just got the revlon candid one. Still trying it out but so far like it much better.
I love this foundation! I have oily skin and very much dislike heavy, matte foundations. I like that it’s very thin and I can’t feel it when it’s on and that it isn’t a full coverage, full matte finish. I always start with an oil control primer, then an oil free mineral sunscreen, foundation, then powder. Blotting throughout the day isn’t a dealbreaker for me since I have to blot with anything I wear no matter what. I think it’s great that there are so many options available so there’s a better chance we can all find something that works for us depending on what we all like! Thanks for reviewing this one :)
Hi! You apply your primer before your sunscreen? That's so interesting! I totally agree about options! Thank you!
Stephanie Marie I know that’s not typical, but it works better for me that way. Maybe it’s because the primer I use is a spray (Skindinavia oil control primer) and I felt as though the “wetness” of the spray was having an effect on the sunscreen underneath, so I switched the order and it works well for me that way :)
I am so glad someone else feels the same. I too heard so many great things and I purchased this as an everyday alternative. It does nothing for me. Goes on beautifully but seems to enhance my pores after a few hours. I have combo skin also. Even though the price is amazing, I will pass on a 2nd purchase and continue with my favs of Dior Backstage and Forever Wear.
Love Dior Backstage!
It made your skin look beautiful!
Thank you! 😘
Can I just say....I love your kitchen! 😍
Thank you so much Tonya!
Hello Stéphanie ! I’m older than you and I found that foundation makes my wrinkles a little bit more evident... ☹️ I have normal skin. It’s not a bad foundation but I’m not repurchase this . Thank you for the review ! 💗
It seems to me many utubers aren'T excited with this new foundation. I happen to watch 2 videos about this today. Both of you said you wouldn't buy it. I always like your frankness about products. I am in no rush to buy this product. 💛
You should do a daughter's favorites
Hey Stephanie... I’m pretty sure you have mentioned the colorscience under eye concealer. I love your technique and would love an in-depth review. Or maybe you could do a whole video on concealers with “anti-aging” benefits or with sunscreen or whatever added benefits. I’m more interested in the daily performance of the product than the long term benefits but they definitely are a bonus.
I would love to know what foundations your daughter likes because I am sure she is very honest. I purchased the Marc Jacobs pallet you used and it has come and I love it! I almost didn’t order it because I have a lot, but it was almost my birthday so I ordered it. I am so glad I did! It blends great and wears great so thanks! This was a great review including the 24 hour test. I would say that was really over the top! Thanks 🙏
I am 48 and have normal to dry skin. I bought this because everyone was raving about it. I have used it for about a week now and really enjoy it. I would buy it again.
I have normal to combo skin. I find foundation to be very dehydrating. My skin feels tight and it emphasizes my under eye wrinkles really badly! Also I was hoping it to be very natural and skin like but I can definitely see I ware foundation. That being said, I always struggle to find a foundation that looks really good and natural over sunscreen...
Thanks for your review!
This foundation looked good on my 50 yr old combo skin for the for the first couple hours. After that I had oil breakthrough in T zone. I also had dry skin lifting on chin and around mouth. It looked so bad, I took it off and put on a my Chanel foundation. This just didn't work for me. Thanks for your reviews, Stephanie. Always great and thorough info.
Oh wow!! That's no good! Thank you!
I actually really like this foundation and I am very oily. Didn’t become oily for me all day.
Hair looks great this color
Thank you! 💗
Louisiana fam 🐊 I got so excited when you said Nola!! Knew that accent sounded like home 🤟🏻 I’m from Lafayette, I’ve never found an influencer from my neck of the woods! It helps a lot to see someone trying things in our crazy climate! *new subscriber*
Hi Maddie! Glad you're here! Thank you! ❤️
Hi Stephanie, I found your channel recently and am so glad I did! Same age, same combo oily skin, and so far, the foundations I've purchased due to your recommendations have been spot on. Perhaps I'll give this a go when I'm running low on foundations, the shade range is great for a high St brand (UK lingo for drugstore).
Thank you!
I am with you in that I like it but don't love it. I did not find any oil control properties and I did have some transfer, especially as the oils came through on my T-zone. It's very skin like and I like that. I appreciate the coverage. I'm not a fan of fragrance even though that makes no difference to my skin. I did enjoy your admission that you slept in it and that's pretty awesome for any foundation.
Thank you! :)
I'm still stunned that you wore this vid 24 hours!!! You really took one for the team, thank yoooo 😍😍. I'm 58 and have dry skin, therefore, I won't be buying it.
Great vid, xxx 💕💕💕xxx
Haha! Thank you Chrissy! 😂❤️😘
Thank you so much for your review!! I still can't find anything that beats the Maybelline Matte and Poreless!!
One of my favorites!
Hi Stephanie, love your videos, very informative. Do you have a video of all your "must haves"? Or what makeup you'd have to have if you were stranded on deserted island?
I haven't done a ride or die type of video yet no. Good idea though!
I did experience the same issue with my oils coming through and after 9hours at work it broke up on my nose. A total no-go was the breakout that I got from it. Had to return it sadly as it looked great for the first 4-6hrs on my combination skin
Wearing foundation is all new to me I’ve never worn it. I’ll give this one a try. I’m 52 With combo skin. We’ll see how it works
Great test and review as always, but yeah as others have said it seems to work better on normal to dry skin, and I'm combo/oily like you, I I don't know yet but I don't think I'll be trying it also the fragrance part I don't like. Anyway, Awesome review and thank you for doing a real life test for us so we know if its worth our money or not 💖
I am 54..and I totally switched over to this foundation. I was mixing too faced peach perfect foundation with covergirl matte but I like this one better and I dont have to mix. Dry mature skin. Better than hi end Imo.
I'd love to see you review the cyo foundation.
Great review as always! I have combo acne prone skin and the first day I wore this foundation alone I really didn't love it. My skin looked more on the dry side. I have since been mixing it with a little Bare Minerals Complexion Resxue and I have been loving it! The combination makes my skin look so nice and healthy! If you have the complexion rescue..give it a try!
Interesting combo! Unfortunately, CR makes me super oily! I'm glad it works for you though!! :)
@@StephanieMarie yes..alone it makes me oily too, but when I mix a little with a drying foundation it looks amazing!
I would love to see some BB cream or tinted moisturizer road tests. Over 40, not liking foundations on my skin anymore. Love Laura Mercier's Tinted Moisturizer, but would like some other options and finding many other over 40s are going the same route.
Thank you for this review of the this foundation. I have this foundation and it’s ok. I have used it with different primers. I would use it if I am going to church and then lunch and heading home. But I don’t think this is good for all day wear. I have combo skin and I am 48 and the few times I have worn it for work it wore off by my cheek or t-zone. I will use it or if I decide it’s a high maintenance type of foundation I might just return. I have other foundations that Wear better on my skin!
Thank you Stephanie. I always agree with your foundation reviews . I was thinking of purchasing this foundation but you saved me the trouble. Do you know if L’Oréal discontinued the Infallible Matte that came in a tube?
50 years old and I love this foundation. Got my first compliment ever on my face lol the other day stating how young and good I look. What am I doing I was asked? I laughed and said “using a new foundation” lol. My favorite of all time at this point. Oh and I use with my tacha silk canvas.
That’s great!! 🙌🏼😘❤️
Can you please review Laura Mercier flawless lumiere radiance perfecting foundation ?!?
Normal to dry skin here and I did NOT like it. I don't typically use primers and found that it stuck to dry patches and then transferred/rubbed off other areas very easily. In essence creating texture appearance on my face when I don't have it. Tried 3x and now tossed it. Glad it works for some, but not for me.
Now I’m dying to know which foundations you use that your daughter tells you that your skin looks great in. I’m constantly searching for “the one” that makes my skin looks great & doesn’t settle in my pores!!
Haha! Pretty much all the ones that end up in my Top Foundations playlist videos are good to go! 👍🏼
I was going to ask that too !
i have dry skin and am over 40. this foundation works well for me, and doesn’t crease into fine lines by the end of the day - but like you said, it’s not the best for smoothing pores
kalika devi wow! Sound like it’s worth a try
I’m on my third day of trying this! And I gotta say this looks cakey on my oily skin type. I’m on my final run but if it’s not as good as my double wear why keep it !?
Yes girl I agree. I almost loved it but then couldn’t make it wear well. It goes on sooooo beautiful but I can’t keep the shine away! Great review! I’m loving smashbox 15 hour!! Also I was unsubbed from you and the only way I knew was you came up as recommended!! Wanted to let you know! Glad to be back!😂Have a great Sunday sweet Stephanie!!!
Weird! Thank you Kathy!
I think this was a fair, balanced review!
Thanks so much!
I mix this foundation with EL Double Wear and the two together is 🙌🏼
Oh nice idea! I'll have to try it!
Hello Stephanie ! Can you review about eye makeup remove only from drug store to brand name and which one is the best? I wondering it is hard to search video about eye makeup remove. Thank you so much Stephanie .
Thank you for being honest! And that's so interesting with your daughter. I always know I have a good product on my hands when my mom comments on it so I guess it goes both ways :)
Totally! Thanks Madison!
I have an oily t zone, but have rough spots on my cheeks. I use no powder and different primers, and it stuck to the dry spots, every time, worse than anything else I have worn. I even put extra moisturizer on those spots, but it didn't help. the original matte infallible works better on me.
Stephanie could you please review the Laura Mercier Radiance-Perfecting Foundation?
I love how you review products. You are the best tester ever !!! I haven’t tried this at all. I lIVE in AZ I DONT THINK ANY LAST HA HA. I am going to try this. I’ll get back with you. I am 57. (Yes. Ugh) and normal skin. I do have mines and pores. So I’ll be the best test. Ha ha
Thanks Louise!
Stephanie, don’t feel bad about sleeping on your side. Sleeping on your left side is best for your circulation and digestion. Also, this foundation is amazing. I prefer it over my all my high end, even my favorite NARS.
Thanks Susan!
I really feel the same way you do. Everybody was raving about this foundation especially Jessica Braun and usually I love everything she loves. The first day I wore it, I thought it was fantastic but I was at home and only wore it for about 4 to 5 hours. The next time I wore it to work and geez, the lighting did it no favors and it did not look good by the end of the day. I feel like it makes me look a little dry. I do like how lightweight it is and it does look pretty at first but there is just something about the way it wears that I do not love. Anyways, love you. 💜🖤💜
Thanks for your feedback Jennifer!
I’m almost 42 with super oily skin and still somewhat breakout prone (wth nature?!)..and I am curious about this now. 🤔
I tried this for a few days. Not that impressed. I do have oily skin. So I started mixing it with the Cover Girl Matte Made foundation. I do like that combination. And the Matte Made does help with blurring my pores and makes my check ins less.
I would love your opinion on the Catrice HD liquid foundation or the CYO life proof foundation.
hi Stephanie i have a question what is the undertone in the shade you have is yellow or pink i am nc25 in mac and i not sure what is my perfect shade? can you help me please! can you please make a reweiw a flower beauty infusion light foundation please!! i like know your think about that foundation thank you
I have yellow undertones. 😘
Hi! Can you do a half and half comparisson review of this vs maybelline superstay foundation?
I was going to ask which one do you like better? One youtuber said the Maybelline works better. What do you think?
Maybelline will definitely be the winner in this race. Undoubtedly it is great and far better than L'Oréal , trust me honey try by yourself and you gonna love it.Good luck dear.
I bought this foundation based on all the hype. I have dry skin and am 53. I take very good care of my skin and the first time I wore this foundation, I thought it looked OK, I was kind of “meh” about it. I have tried wearing it with different primers.. the Marc Jacobs Cocnit Primer, I have the Hourglass primer too and I tried it with it. Every time, I just feel like my skin only looks OK. On the same day I bought the L’Oréal foundation, I bought the Physician’s Formula Healthy Foundation and when I tried it, it was an immediate like. It blended well and there is something about it that blurs my pores. I don’t have huge pores, but like you said, we all have pores. I guess what I am trying to say is that I will finish the L’Oréal foundation because I bought it, but I will not repurchase it. I know that when I run out of the Physicians Formula Healthy Foundation, I will DEFINITELY repurchase it because I feel like it makes my skin look great and I feel good when I wear it. I cannot say I feel the same way about this new L’Oréal foundation. I realize we are all different and like different products, so Vive la difference to those who enjoy it and feel that this foundation works for them. I am glad I found a UA-camr who feels the same way I do about this foundation. 😉
The Healthy Foundation is a great foundation!
If I were you I would return it. I’m going to buy the PF Healthy, it’s just so hard to tell the shade and that doe foot!
Great review. I’ll be skipping trying this one since it’s not cruelty free. But it was still great to see how it performed for you.
Thank you! 😘
Can you please do a review on the Kosas oil foundation? 🤗 thanks!!
I would love to see a review on glossier
I agree w/ everything you said about this foundation. I have oily skin, even now in the wintertime in the NE, even though it gets really dry in my house. I have to blot 2 or 3x a day but that’s ok since I have to do this with every foundation I use. I love that it doesn’t make me look like I have a mask on. I am familiar with two of the three primers you mentioned and those 2 are out of my price range. I would have liked to see if you had tried a drugstore primer with this. In any case I do like this foundation and will continue using it but, I wonder what the summer will bring because if I’m blotting 2 to 3 times a day now in the winter time I’m going to be blotting a whole lot more when it’s hot and humid here in the Northeast. Do you have a video about the primers for oily skin? Thanks for making this video. I always enjoy hearing your opinions on what’s out there make up.
I'm working on primer video content! Thank you!
I've got dry skin. I use this with a tiny drop if oil to negate the alcohol. Overall I like the foundation. With my dry skin I find I can't dot it on my face because of the fast dry time of this. It tends to stain if I dot it
which oil do u use?
Hi☺️ just came across your page and i loooove it. Ive been looking for a drug store brand makeup, i use nc25 with mac foundation. I have a question, have you tried using this liquid foundation and the powder one? On top of each other? I know the powder is vanilla (forgot the exact number) but i currently like using the mac foundation and then the pressed powder to seal it & more coverage. Please let me know if it worked out for you🙏☺️
I have wanted to try this, but I have an oily t-zone and wondered about it on oily skin. Has anyone actually found a foundation that doesn't get shiny after a couple of hours? I have yet to find one.
I bought it and it immediately made my pores ginormous. I hated it so much I drove right back to return it. Hated it. I’m almost 47 with oily combination skin
If you are just starting to break out it has to be from the initial application or the second wear of the formula not just bc you slept in it. Since we do sweat in our sleep, wearing makeup to bed is a big no-no. When sweat mixes with makeup that's how you get some of the acne causing components: dirt, oil and bacteria to clog pores and start the process of acne pimples coming to the surface, it takes longer to form than a couple of hours or overnight. If you are seeing anything that soon or immediately it could be an allergic reaction or a breakout from another product you tried a couple of days prior.
