I’m almost 38. my skin is really starting to change. I’m so happy I found your channel! These youtubers I’m their 20’s are doing a fantastic job at what they do but it’s not really realistic for me to go by their reviews. ❤️❤️❤️
I have dry skin & this is my new favorite! I moisturize, use a hydrating primer & setting spray. It lasts through a 12 hour shift of taking surgical masks on/off. That’s a first for me.
I agree. I am 56 with dry skin. As long as you moisturizer and use a primer then upply this makeup you're good to go. I've even went swimming with it on and it did NOT disappoint. Although I have dry skin I use the matte. It stays on longer and IF you do the above I mentioned then it won't settle into fine lines.
I think I’ve watched every review ever made on this foundation and all of them contradict each other. (I’ve watched a lot of mature women’s review too) So many say it smoothes pores and does not stick to dry patches, others say it accentuated their pores, slides off, makes them oily and stick to dry patches. 😂 I’ve seen it looked remarkable on some and just awful on others. 😩Some say it will not work at all with a sponge and other say it only worked with a sponge. I’ve seen so many closeups of normal, dry and oily skin, some swear it will only work on normal/oily skin while others say it will be perfect for normal/dry skin. It’s just one of these foundations that you have to try and find out for yourself I guess. Three of my four go to trustworthy youtubers loved it, so I’ll try it out. I find that even if someone has mature skin, lines, pores, wrinkles and normal/dry skin, just like me, it happens that their misses are my holy grail and maybe it has to do with which climate/temperature we are in, or which serums and moisturizer we use underneath the foundation? Idk 🤔 Thank you once again for a great video! It’s always interesting to hear your opinions and you are so thorough in all your reviews, I like that! 😘
I agree as well. There are so many factors to consider. I think a lot has to do with your skin type and the products you use underneath and over top of the foundation.
I love Angie's foundation reviews because 1- she's one of the few oily combo "mature" gals out here, and 2- she does a realistic up close ZOOM! Everyone's makeup looks fab in the camera blurring distance. I absolutely agree that skincare and applications make a huge difference with base. And even skincare isn't universal because the good Lord finds it funny to make us all unique lol Great comment! Great post! I love foundation Fridays :-D
So true. When I moved from Texas to Idaho, my favorite foundation started looking terrible on my skin. Still on the lookout for my favorite Idaho foundation. 😆😆
Agreed-I like Angie am mature but have still got combo skin and still get spots even though I am post-menopause. I use Tret.but even the dryness caused by that is nothing compared to “real” dry skin. I find Angie’s reviews work for me as do her skin care routines. Some younger dermatologists preach simplicity which always fails miserably with my skin-I need the product layering.
So true! I’ve just bought a bottle and I’m not sure on whether I should return it. I’m curious to see how it works on my face but I know hat if I open it I can’t return it
I tried this foundation for the first time today & since I have dry skin I followed Elle Leary's suggestion & added a drop of Smashbox Primer Oil. I actually like it so far. I'm 59 & I haven't tried a drug store foundation in probably 4 years but decided I'd give a few a try since I think formulas in all forms of makeup keeps getting better & better. The one thing I noticed right away was how fast & how much it oxidized but luckily I bought it in a little too light of a shade so the darkening didn't end up being a problem. I want to play with it some more with different application tools (I used a damp sponge today) & different primers (I didn't use one today) as well as some of my other beauty oils.
I used this lightly with covergirl smooth primer. I have very textured skin ice pick marks and this foundation was amazing! Smoothed my skin made it looked it amazing!. I am 55 years old. I did not use it heavy. Just very light layer with a spong. There is a learning curve to this foundation. But once you nail it. It is one of the best foundations I have found for my skin. It is very high coverage so I only use a very thin layer. I don’t use it for a full coverage. This looked good on my skin for over 12 hours!!
This 24H Fresh Wear is the best foundation for me, far better than high end foundations such as Estée Lauder Double wear and even Sisley! I have normal skin (neither dry, nor oily). I apply it with my fingers and finish it with a beauty blender. It stays gorgeous all day. Love, love, love it!
Jeannette me too! I mix it with Lumi Glotion 902 and it is stunning. This stays put for 12 hours and I have had so many compliments on my skin this week since I’ve started wearing it.
Your brief discussion about the photo test made me think of another comparison you might add to your reviews - side by side photos of the test foundation versus your holy grail. I think one of the best things about your channel in general is how in depth and thorough you are with all your reviews, and the close ups are the most helpful - a picture is truly worth a thousand words!! I love how you typically do reference your holy grail foundation(s) in the final thoughts, so it just came to mind that seeing the close up photo of your holy grail versus the test foundation at the end would be equally helpful. Thank you as always for the excellent info!!
Angie, you saved me time and money again 👍🏼 I am frugal (my daughter says cheap) and I will only buy drugstore make up. Even with that I do not wear foundation because it takes me too much time to apply. I just started wearing sunblock since last year with Australian Gold tinted because it was not oily and did not burn my eyes, I mix with a couple of drops of NYX Pro Foundation Mixer medium to darken it a little bit ( my skin is medium-tan, Filipino so a little yellow toned). I had bought a few drugstore brands found a foundation which matched my skin. So I really admire how you look at 56 (I just turned 54)and what you do for us over 50 women and how thoroughly you do your videos. Thank you a lot😘
Loved seeing how this wore for you. I bought this last week and think it's nice but it does make my skin look more textured than most other foundations, so not my favorite either. Great review as always Angie! xoxo
It never ceases to amaze me how people’s skin reacts so differently to foundations. Granted Angie and I are not the same skin type. She was getting a luminous finish. On my super dry, flaky skin this was immediately a flat matte and stayed that way all day. Even with TWO layers of moisturizer plus my Elta MD sunscreen underneath. Completely sucked all the moisture out of my skin. I was a red, flaky, hot mess by the end of the day. Epic fail. I might try it again in the summer when I’m not so dry but won’t be going near it for the rest of the winter. I really love your foundation reviews, Angie. So thorough and you’re able to describe how products might work on different skin types. Very helpful.
I love this foundation, I mix it with Lumi Glotion 902. It works extremely well for my normal to dry skin. No primer just put it on over my mineral sunscreen. No setting powder needed. Looks stunning for my 12hr days. I have received numerous compliments on my skin since starting to wear this. Absolutely stunning! Oh and I had professional pictures taken for business and even the photographer complimented me on my skin.
I am 50 with dry skin and have serious issues with foundation wear and dryness. This foundation really works for me, but the primer choice makes a difference. I apply Marula oil on my dry spots first, then I find the Elf putty primer to work the best with this product. I found the same as you with the brush vs sponge application. It builds well, but the brush does make it have a heavier look. What impressed me is that it stays on my cheeks all day even though I rest my face in my hands all day. I love it.
The foundation looks perfect on you from a distance. The selfie photo was flawless. Probably one of the most natural and youthful foundations I've ever seen you wear. No wonder your friend asked you what foundation you had on. Love the natural make -up look, too. The deep green sweater makes your eyes pop and look beautifully green. So pretty.
I am 54 and tried the L’Oréal fresh wear last week and received my first time multiple comments from coworkers about how great my skin looked lol. A winner for me. Very thorough review' Will subscribe to your channel.
I'm 30 years old and have been really paying more attention than ever to my skin especially my face and skincare also makeup which I stopped doing for 10 years ....and I love your channel and I love all your techniques reviews just all of it! Thank you sooo much for the way you do them♡
First of all, so sweet how that kitty cat visited in this video! Thought this foundation is lovely on Angie, and I really happy with this. Much smoother and better coverage for me than Estée Lauder Double Wear which for some reason which was too heavy and slightly cakey on me. I used with Rimmel Transparent face powder on the T-zone and think it's excellent. Testing after a few hours and it has been one of the best I've used in years.
WOMAN!!! You're almost to 500K subscribers!! It's because you are THE BEST makeup reviewer on UA-cam and not just in the +50 category. This is a great review. Thank you for spending all this time doing all the work for us!
I had great results with this foundation when I used the Hourglass Mineral Veil primer all over my face and the Tarte Timeless Smoothing primer on my nose and either side of it where my pores are most visible. Alone or with other primers I did not love it but with the right primer combo for my skin I felt it looked great! I still saw a little bit of settling in fine lines but it wasn’t any worse than any of my other foundations. Thank you for the great review!
I have used this foundation for a year. I love the wear. I use it with hard candy Matt primer. It works fine for my oily 67 year old mature, (no lines and wrinkles) thank the Lord,, skin. I get compliments on it all the time. I don’t think this foundation is for dry skin.
Angie, I have this one and really like it! The Laura Mercier was hideous on me! Hideous! I think we are all different and unfortunately it’s trial and error! I love your videos! You are amazing! Have a great weekend!
Angie, I am so glad you reviewed this foundation. I had seen this foundation reviewed by other people, but honestly, I only trust your in-depth testing. I appreciate your hard work and the time you put into giving these foundations a whirl. Thank you so much Angie!
I bought this based on other reviews I watched. It wears on me just like it did on you. Your reviews are always spot on, so thorough. I should have waited for your review. Lesson learned! 😀
I'm SO glad I waited for your review before buying. The buzz on UA-cam is how amazing this foundation is but I wanted to hear your verdict. Instead, I purchased the True Match and I'm LOVING it based on your recommendation Angie. Thank you!😊👍
As soon as you said it had a fragrance, I knew it wasn't for me. But, I love to watch your videos all the way thru for interesting tidbits you throw in. Especially like it when you include your animals! Such a cool looking cat - love her stripes. Thanks for doing these - you've taught me so much!
perfect timing with this review! I purchased this yesterday and will return it unopened. I trust my dry skin will not like this foundation based on your thorough wonderful review! Thank you!
I LOVE your Foundation Fridays! Even when foundation is not a top 5. What I want to see... EVERYTHING CHARLOTTE TILBURY PLEASE!!! A real complete look, with swatches too, especially lips. I just want to see it all together on someone I trust (you) and are familiar with (you). Really though ANYTHING you want to show us I know I will enjoy, Angie! I LOVE YOUR CAT btw, what a beautiful fur pattern, and face to launch a thousand ships, so pretty. Thanks again for another great video!
Angie you are truly the best and so beautiful. I am so glad I found you and your videos. I have been watching them forever. I am 58 years old and I suffer with wrinkles and terrible age and sun spots. But after watching so many videos I am confused with what would be the best way to cover them and what foundation to use. Your skin always looks flawless, no matter what foundation Friday videos I watched. What would you recommend I do to help me cover my age spots, but not cake on so much where my wrinkles are more prominent. I feel as though I have spent hours and so much money and still have not found the correct combination. I would love to hear from you with what would be the best way to go. Thank you so much for your time and help. Also thank you for all you do for the mature community. Sincerely, M.B. PS sorry I wrote so much
Hi Marybeth~ To cover age spots you're better off using a spot concealer rather than adding more foundation. Try using Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer with a small brush to conceal spots. xo ~angie
Of course I should have waited for your review but I was in the drugstore and couldn't help myself. Your review is exactly what I would have said about this foundation. I found that it gave me polka dot issues on the area below the sides of my mouth and in the temple area. Not a big fan but I think it may work better in the summer when my skin is less dry. I have a very oily t zone in the summer and I am 62, crazy. Anyway next time I am waiting for your review!!! You are the only UA-camr that gets it right for mature women and I can't thank you enough!
I have combination skin. I get more oily in the warmer months. However, I found using a gel moisturizer works wonders. I love the Clinique gel dramatically different and moisture surge together. If I cant get it or don't want to spend that much I use the Neutrogena Hydro Boost cream gel!! It has made a huge difference with the oil control!!
I purchased this last weekend and have worn it twice. I am 50 with combination skin. It instantly dries down on my skin, showing texture, pores and wrinkles.I've made sure I use a moisturizer so I'm hydrated when I apply it, but it looks terrible and is so uncomfortable on my skin. Maybe it's just not good for aging skin. I love the Physician's Formula Healthy Foundation. It has such a beautiful natural finish!
First time here I love your reviews. I'm 49 years old so it's nice to see a review from someone older. I also enjoyed the different test very thorough review. I subscribed so thank you.
firstly, you can't be over 45 max, you look amazing, secondly, i'm so happy i found your channel! super in depth, well delivered information, thank you so much
I’m 65 and have dry skin now due to RetinA and this foundation worked for me, sorry it didn’t work for you.😘. Update, don’t know what happened but it looked awful today especially on my textured forehead, maybe it was the primer I used, will try it again tomorrow, will update again.
Thank you for sharing all your research and knowledge on skin care products ! Would you consider doing a series that addresses specific issues like “skin brightening” , “hyperpigmentation”, “sagging” etc.? Really appreciate your insight into ingredients and how you break it all down. Thanks again!
It retails for 21.99 in Canada. Ouch. I found that it really accentuated pores and texture. Disappointing. It’s felt very drying on my mature skin even with a drop of oil. The TruMatch foundation is nicer. Looks lovely on you on camera.
Angie! To you and your viewers: L’oreal Infalliable Fresh Wear operates with completely different numbers on the foundations in other parts of the world. Your 460 Golden Beige is 140 Golden beige here. I was puzzled by the high numbers you were referring to as 390 is ebony here. It can look like Europe have other numbers.
Angie, have you tried mixing three different foundation together ? I am older than you and I stared to struggle getting the best foundation for my skin. I mix two different foundations and a BB cream together. I mix enough for one week's use and make sure that they are completely different makes. I mix drug store and expensive together. I find it works a treat on mature skin. Xx
This is what I always do. Not one single foundation will work perfectly for all skin issues. I always mix matte and more dewy and then of course shades, because one shade will never fit perfectly to skin, either.
I'm 54 with dry skin. I mix a half pump IT CC cream with a half pump of Chanel Les Beiges Healthy glow foundation and a drop of The ordinary morrocan argan oil on the back of my hand everyday. That's what works for me. Glad I'm not the only one out there!
Perfect. A layer of BB cream and then a layer of foundation is too much. I used a bit of BB mixed in with the foundation this morning and ....thank you!
Thank you, thank you! Your thorough reviews on foundation really are a blessing! You take so much of the guesswork out of selecting new products. Keep on doing what you do, LOVE!!
Hey Angie! I think that looks so good on you, but I agree, when I wear it I feel like it looks makeup-y, good for camera but in person I think it’s one of those that is “noticeable”~ but I know we are so picky! Great review and I love your big kitty! 🐱🥰
I really love your foundation reviews.. Thank you! Also, I think the phone test is a valid test. No matter if you have a phone up to your face or not it shows transfer. Thank you for bringing it back
Tried this the first time today, it looked matte but really flawless. I thought this was gonna be like luminous but it’s matte for me or it’s just I didn’t prep well cause I only used hydrating serum and go straight to makeup. Best part about this This feels lightweight than matte cover version of this one.
I think the phone test not on,y shows if the makeup will transfer onto the phone but more important your clothes (I have that problem with some makeup). I look forward to the Friday foundation review because you test it so many ways! I have seen a few reviews of the Hourglass foundation and not one of them was “good”. The last review I watched said you really have to work with it to make it work. That just isn’t what I want. Thanks 🙏
I bought this foundation in shade Vanilla and it's okay. The Estee Lauder Double Wear is still #1 with me at this time. By the way, the picture you took on your phone is beautiful! You photograph so well!
You get better looking as each day passes. I agree with you, the makeup looked very pretty in the beginning. Thank you for your review Angie. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. 💖
So glad that you did this video. I recently purchased this foundation but have not used it yet. It will be interesting to see if I have the same results as you on my older skin. Thanks! I look forward to your videos.
Hi Angie!! Thanks so much for another great review!! I am not sure that I would even try this because of the fragrance alone. I will get a migraine with certain fragrances..especially if it is anywhere near my nose. The ONE thing I love about not working is worrying that someone will be wearing body lotion or spray that has a strong fragrance. I am so glad that there are so many fragrance free products now!! My one wish is that Bath and Body works would come out with a fragrance free body care line. I honestly can't believe they don't have a market for us scent sensitive peeps!! Thanks for the info on the Morphe spray!! Our town is building it's first Ulta and I am ecstatic!! Thanks again!! xo Gina S
Thanks for reviewing this foundation Angie. With my large pores and older skin with wrinkles this will not be for me. Appreciate how thoroughly you test these foundations. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs .....Sherry
Thanks again Angie! I’m passing on this. Dry 62 years old and allergies galore. Fragrance, sd alcohol and chemical sunscreens are in a LOT of foundations at all price points & ANY of those 3 offenders is an immediate pass for me. This has 2 of them. Appreciate your thorough reviews!
I have a love/hate relationship with this foundation. It doesn’t play well with many of my favorite primers and tends to flake and ball up. So sans primer for me. But then after several hours, I notice it cracks and makes my skin look like cracking plastic. The first several times I tried this, it was nearly perfect. So now I’m trying to find that magic recipe for that perfect finish again.
Anything that says '24 hour" always dries out my skin, no matter what. I've fallen in love with the Morphe Continuous Setting Spray!!! Only possible problematic issue is the Papaya fruit extract for fragrance.
I love how thorough you are with these-thank you! I’m 37 w/dry skin, and I actually loved this one. But perhaps that has something to do with products used to prep, maybe-I used the smash box primerizer and a bit of the Tatcha silk canvas. (Although I didn’t do an outdoor check, ha ha, so for all I know it looked awful! 🙀) Will be trying the CYO Lifeproof now, for sure, since you and others recommend.
Thanks for this honest review! I’m younger but have similar skin to you. Textured, crows feet, laugh lines pores ugh. Anyways I applied a little on the back of my hand, I noticed it amplified the texture there and it was very drying. But then I seen so many good reviews I almost bought it. So glad I seen yours. Thanks 😊
I so wanted to love this foundation. I find it accentuates my texture and dries out my oily skin, too. I much prefer the CYO Lifeproof. Thanks for trying it out with multiple methods and products and saving me the time I experimenting more. I need to try out the L’Oreal True Match!
I decided to try it after Angie’s review revisit about 7 months ago. I don’t know why I hadn’t tried it before! I’ve had issues in the past with foundations looking like hell on my chin and nose folds and I guess I always assumed it was a “me” issue not being very good at makeup and not the makeup itself. Duh! So I bought True Match late last summer. I do still have to mix a bit, but it’s okay with me. I did see that they have come out with some .5 shades (in-betweens) on the L’ORÉAL website, but I haven’t found them in store yet. Come on, Target and CVS, some of us are 1/2 shades here!
LKMelby1 I can totally identify thinking that foundations aren’t working because of what I’m doing and cringing at the way they look on my nose and chin. Thanks for the input. I’m going to give the True Match a shot!
Big fan here. Thank you for this review. I have combo skin and couldn’t find my shade! This saved me a trip to Walmart. It really bugs me that they don’t have any testers available.
I agree-I really do not like this foundation for us older gals. I have tried it, I have some sunspots and they need two layers for coverage. As for the "Cover FX Griping primer"-I tried it yesterday and it gathered in my smile lines and then I had to "peel" it off in the middle of the day while shopping!!! Horrible!!! I do have dry skin with a "bit" of T-Zone but I have never been "oily". Great honest review.
Yay! I was waiting on your review on this, been looking at it but all the reviews I had seen before this one were from ladies MUCH younger than me lol. Nice to see an in depth review from someone who doesn't have perfect 20 year old skin 😊.
I do love your reviews. But, I have to say, I don’t personally think u put enough on the first couple of days. U put such a small amount on so it would be much less coverage. I have dry skin in winter and have been wearing this the last few days again. This has become my holy grail drugstore foundation. I have over 60 foundations and absolutely love this over many of my high end ones. It’s currently very windy and drizzly here in the UK and it’s been holding up a good 12 plus hours on my skin with no transfer at all. I use my by terry brightening cc serum or my Charlotte tilbury (the new ish one with a tint and a sheen with huge doe foot, forget its name) as a primer. I put either the ordinary silicones primer or the benefit poreless primer in my t zone to help cover my pores and I set just my concealer a tiny bit (I have wrinkles under the eyes haha) and I’m good to go with a dewy but lasting finish. It looks beautiful on my skin. Flawless in fact. And I have mid 40s, more mature, scarred and discoloured skin. It covers pretty much everything I need it to and can be built comfortably. I don’t start with very shiny dewy skin though which I notice that you do in most of your videos. It’s probably the sun screen I don’t know. But I notice your skin is never just natural looking skin, it’s always super shiny to start. So maybe that’s why so many slide on you? We all have different skin types at the end of the day. But I find with my dry mature skin that this looks fantastic. I have several people I’ve tried this on with young and mature skin, oily, dry and combo and I’ve not found one it’s not worked on. So I’d say even if you have dry skin, get a sample of you can of this, try it with various primers (I’ve tried with many and it’s worked with them all to be fair!) and see what you think. I don’t agree that people with dry skin probably wouldn’t like this though. All in all though I love how you do 3 day wear tests, I do love your reviews. 😊
Angie, I love these reviews - very helpful. However, it's just occurring to me now that no one on youtube ever covers the thing I care about most in foundation: How difficult is the removal at the end of the day? I have large pores in my t-zone, and complete removal of the product is a daily grind - even with a meticulous, Clairsonic-aided 2-step cleanse. And I really notice that my success with removing product directly and quickly impacts the quality of my skin. Demonstrating removal is probably unnecessary, but I'd love to hear a brief word about the ease or difficulty of getting the foundation off, just to round out your excellent commentary. What do you think?
I ADORE it. I am 50 and have incredibly dry skin. I also have texture. I use a filler before using the foundation and my skin looks AMAZING! It's so worth the price x 10!
I just got the CYO last week. I've been trying to buy it online for months lol. Bought 3! It's perfect for me. Especially the color, it's the best match I've ever found
Your skin!!!😱😱😱😍 WOW!!!! I am going back to look at skincare routine again!!!! I love your closeups and your reviews are so good! I have this foundation on my cart.. I am so happy you reviewed it!!!
So glad I watched your review. I want to pick this up but I am 40 and have some texture and fine lines under my eyes don’t think this will workout that well for me. Thank u for showing up close as well.
Ha! Was seriously considering buying before your review. But the veteran H&F follower in me, stopped that nonsense. I know how diligent you are in successful youthful skin care, so your first application flake experience is enough for me to run past the display. Your spending $36 to save my $12, is another example of how priceless your work is. : ) You are such a love! XO PS. Chemist Daughter: would the alcohol alone, be enough to lift your youthful skin in one single application? Or could there be something MORE lurking/cloaked under the guise of "fragrance?"
Your reviews are so good!!! 3 day wear test is a great idea. I appreciate the HD close-ups so we can really see what it looks like. Thanks so much!! PD: You look lovely without makeup!
Thank you! I saw this a week ago when it was being reviewed by someone else and hoped you would review it also. I was really interested but decided I would wait to see how it worked for you; it sounds like it may be a good foundation for someone with younger skin.
What primer do you use? I tried it today without primer and I didn't like it.
YOUR REVIEWS ARE THE MOST THOROUGH! THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO DO THIS FOR US! Love you Angie 😘💋
I could not agree more!
Idk 🤔
Thank you once again for a great video!
And even skincare isn't universal because the good Lord finds it funny to make us all unique lol
Great comment!
I’m curious to see how it works on my face but I know hat if I open it I can’t return it
I tried this foundation for the first time today & since I have dry skin I followed
Elle Leary's suggestion & added a drop of Smashbox Primer Oil.
I so appreciate how in depth your reviews go! 💛💛
I love it, too. Very smoothing.
@@pattymax9106 I'll try it with Lumi Glotion. Thanks for the tip!
Do you think this is for oily skin?
Agree ! Loving this foundation. Thought it lovely on Angie too.
Great idea! Distance and close up, too. I hope Angie sees your suggestion.
I love this foundation. It looks great on my oily, textured skin. It’s very smoothing and natural looking.
I love it.
I'm so happy to hear it works for you!
Thank you! It's the old "good from far, but far from good" situation.
Deborah Allen this foundation has not even been out for 3 months 😂😂
This was one of the most thorough foundation reviews I've seen!! I'm trying this foundation out today. You just got yourself a new subscriber :)
Angie, I have this one and really like it! The Laura Mercier was hideous on me! Hideous! I think we are all different and unfortunately it’s trial and error! I love your videos! You are amazing! Have a great weekend!
That hunter green sweater looks great on you! Definitely your color!
I love how you list and remind us what your favorite foundations are and the other extensive list of what you’ve used. Really helpful.
Angie, I am so glad you reviewed this foundation. I had seen this foundation reviewed by other people, but honestly, I only trust your in-depth testing. I appreciate your hard work and the time you put into giving these foundations a whirl. Thank you so much Angie!
I love this foundation. I think it wears differently with each primer so you need to play around to find your combo.
Thank you!😊👍
I am so happy I saw this before I spent my money. Thank you! ❤
I'm 58 and been waiting for you to review this for us mature gals! So glad I didn't purchase this! Best reviews on everything as usual!
I thought your texture looked smoother than usual with this one!.
My nose gets very oily with this one. Crossing my fingers for the L.Mercier!
Thanks Yvonne! Great idea for a video!!
You give the best review! Very detailed and comprehensive! Keep it up!
Your redness has improved so much over the last four months. Pls share what you're doing!!
If you used this foundation daily, how long would the bottle last before you need to buy a new one?
I purchased this last weekend and have worn it twice. I am 50 with combination skin. It instantly dries down on my skin, showing texture, pores and wrinkles.I've made sure I use a moisturizer so I'm hydrated when I apply it, but it looks terrible and is so uncomfortable on my skin. Maybe it's just not good for aging skin. I love the Physician's Formula Healthy Foundation. It has such a beautiful natural finish!
I had a similar outcome with this foundation. Looked great at first but then got shiny in the T-zone and dry on my temples later on in the day.
Thanks for the suggestion!
I love that you share how it compares to your HG and the other top 5. Love your thorough reviews! 💕
Angie you are so smart! The best reviews and tests on UA-cam.
Estee Lauder is tops for me..it seems to last all day and it is a medium to full coverage. LOVE IT!
It retails for 21.99 in Canada. Ouch. I found that it really accentuated pores and texture. Disappointing. It’s felt very drying on my mature skin even with a drop of oil. The TruMatch foundation is nicer. Looks lovely on you on camera.
Rachel Ross I agree!
Same here i hate it so much
Interesting. Thanks for sharing!
Had the exact same experience....looked fantastic at first then had tons of dry skin flakes later in the day 😳. Thank you for reviewing!!!
Xx
I should try that nothing looks good on my skin right now.
I mix Estée Lauder and nars radiant. Mixing is the best way to get awesome foundation.
Sideline ; that sweater looks incredible on you. Your eyes really pop. That green - love it on you!
And this adheres to the skin really well despite having humid climate
I think the phone test not on,y shows if the makeup will transfer onto the phone but more important your clothes (I have that problem with some makeup). I look forward to the Friday foundation review because you test it so many ways! I have seen a few reviews of the Hourglass foundation and not one of them was “good”. The last review I watched said you really have to work with it to make it work. That just isn’t what I want. Thanks 🙏
Thank you so much for giving true reviews and REAL close ups! Most foundations I have tried accentuate my pores and your reviews are the best!
Thank you so much for your channel. There aren’t many voices representing older women. Women that still love trying new styles, makeup, clothes etc.
I bought this foundation in shade Vanilla and it's okay. The Estee Lauder Double Wear is still #1 with me at this time. By the way, the picture you took on your phone is beautiful! You photograph so well!
Thanks Angie! It wasn't the same without the phone test, thank you for bringing it back! I'm looking forward to the Laura Mercier test.
You get better looking as each day passes. I agree with you, the makeup looked very pretty in the beginning. Thank you for your review Angie. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. 💖
Thanks Bev, hope you have a great weekend too!
So glad that you did this video. I recently purchased this foundation but have not used it yet. It will be interesting to see if I have the same results as you on my older skin. Thanks! I look forward to your videos.
Who would want to wear it 24 hrs? I get a lot of compliments, people think my skin is flawless and I have rosasia.
Really appreciate the honest review. I was going to pick it up but now I think I’ll save the funds for a better one.
I always trust your reviews.
LKMelby1 Good to know! I will head there. I can never tell what I need by looking at the bottle.
Thank you I am skipping that foundation! That green sweater looks gorgeous on you, makes your eyes pop.
Angie,
I love these reviews - very helpful.
Would you please do a review of the Flower Beauty foundation? I’m hearing such good things about it but I would love your review and opinion.
Mary Davidson I LOVE it! I’m 42 and it’s my favorite thus fsr
I ADORE it. I am 50 and have incredibly dry skin. I also have texture. I use a filler before using the foundation and my skin looks AMAZING! It's so worth the price x 10!
@@dogsrfun4rae By filler, do you mean primer?
moon0halo - yes a primer that fills/smooths.
I love it too. I am very very old.
I just got the CYO last week. I've been trying to buy it online for months lol. Bought 3! It's perfect for me. Especially the color, it's the best match I've ever found
Also I like the phone test. 🙂
You are really pretty at 56. I'm 54. Pretty kitty too. I use true match and love it! Thanks for sharing!
I can't believe you're 56. You look amazing!
What a beautiful cat!
Thanks! She has the coolest stripes!
I love Catherine’s kitty video bombs! If I did videos, I know my ginger boy Rudy would bombing all of the time.
Your skin!!!😱😱😱😍 WOW!!!! I am going back to look at skincare routine again!!!! I love your closeups and your reviews are so good! I have this foundation on my cart.. I am so happy you reviewed it!!!
Excellent review. More foundation Fridays please.
I only had a bit applied, but it accentuated every bit of texture I had on my face.
I loved this foundation when I used it with a pore filling primer and a nice setting powder. It’s in my top 3
This foundation is a success for me.
So glad I watched your review. I want to pick this up but I am 40 and have some texture and fine lines under my eyes don’t think this will workout that well for me. Thank u for showing up close as well.
I look so forward to all your videos! I appreciate how in depth you are and all the attention to detail.
XO
PS.
