The number one feeling I felt in the whole relationship was anxiety. Because it felt very fragile, it felt very tentative. And it always felt like, 'Okay, what's the next road block? What's the next thing that's gonna deter this? How long do we have before this turns into just an awful mess and we break up? Is it a month? Is it three days? And so, you know, I think a lot of relationships can be very solid and that's kind of what you hope for, for it to be solid and healthy but that's not always what you get. And it doesn't mean that it's not special and extraordinary just to have a relationship that's fragile and somehow meaningful in that fragility.

“I’m gonna play you a song that I wrote about the relationship that I was in that... the number one feeling I felt in whole relationship was anxiety. Umm because it felt very fragile. It felt very umm tentative. And it always felt like okay what’s the next road block, what’s the next thing that’s gonna... that’s gonna deterred us. What’s... How long do we have before this turns into just an awful mess and we break up. Is it a month? Is it three days? And so... you know... I think a lot of relationships can be really solid and that’s kinda what you hope for, solid and healthy. But that’s not always what you get. And umm... it doesn’t mean that it’s not special and... extraordinary just to have a relationship that’s fragile and somehow meaningful in that fragility. So this is the song that I wrote with Jack Antonoff and it’s called Out of The Woods.”

Girls, this is proof enough you should keep a clearly detailed diary. Especially if you’re talented. When you can write a song about every struggle a girl can have from preteen to 20s, you win and the world follows. Best live song she’s ever done

what she described this relationship I knew exactly what she was talking about I was in a relationship the same way and sometimes I just wanted to jump out of my own skin thinking what's going to happen the next day the next moment you're never really comfortable in a relationship like that it's really not a good feeling at all. I'm glad I got out of that relationship because it was like a weight has been lifted off my chest and I wonder if that's how she felt
