Ive been vacuum sealing for 3 years now - its great. For some reason my vacuum sealer (Foodsaver brand) requires some difficult hand coordination which took me a long time to get good at it - i'm wondering now, why Foodsaver requires this odd synchronized push with each thumb from both sides of the machine - as the one you bought is completely hands free. I have also never tried sealing a store bought bag with my Foodsaver, only have used the Foodsaver brand bags and Ball/Mason jars (with the jar attachment).

I have food saver too, but I didn’t have to use hand much. We only used it a lot during quarantine when we ordered a lot of food at once. Now it’s not as frequent as before.
