I completely agree with you about the importance of strength training. One form of strength training that anyone can do, even if you're bedridden, is isometric strength training. I did isometric exercises when I was hospitalized for ulcerative colitis. And I still perform isometrics when I go to the gym and other equipment is being occupied. I bring my "world fit iso trainer" and forearm forklift strap to the gym with me. Stay healthy Mr Jacob!
Great to hear how things changed in a positive way. Being forced to think about your health has it's negatives and positives, when you have a problem it gives you a good reason to deal with the topic but it could also stop you from doing other things that might be important in life too.
Hi Ian, I’m the mum of a 14 year old boy who has just recently been diagnosed with UC. Finding this channel really helpful and informative. I just want to say ‘hi’ from me and on my Son’s behalf - he is still a bit young to chat himself online but this has been great 👍

How do you deal with Anxiety and Depression which is byproduct of GI issues?
Honestly it's an up and down process, and the main thing is to take things day by day. Soem days are just bad days!
