Ok, I did it this way. 6 hours, two bleeding arms and a new motor mount with NO heat shield is the end result. I don't know how you got the new one in with the heat shield, but kudos to you.
@@sparkycastillo88 You have to remove the exhaust manifold to get those out, I believe. If there square like the picture above Yes, the same concept. If they are round in the middle then the exhaust manifold has to come off. There's 2 different designs.
Engine mount to engine bolts are 37 ft lbs. Engine mount to frame bolts are 48 ft lbs. And for the passenger side the exhaust manifold has to come off.
Well, you can’t just bolt straight to the frame. They have to have the rubber in there to dampen the vibration , which is what fails. What do you expect?
Straight to the point, no goofy music. Thanks for the video.

30-45 min job God hear you because I’m about to do this job soon and I’m dreading it. Lol
Yo, thank you for this. This clip had all the answers I had questions about. 🙏
What about the passenger side towards the back is it more complicated
Great video! do you have a video for the passenger side mount?
No but if you remove the starter and the dipstick tube, it'll slide out the same way.
Killer video guy. Fr good job.
Is this a 4x4? About to.do mine but does not look this easy
Yes, same concept.
Would this install work for a 2016 silverado 1500 4x2?

Do you get the new engine mount in without cussing and throwing tools? Getting it out was the easy part
30-45 minutes?! where are you located lol
What is the torque spec for everything? Also, is the passenger as hard?

Thank you 🙏🏽
Another option is dropping the front diff which takes 20 minutes then you got tons of room underneath
I keep thinking one day they will make motor mounts that actually do what they are supposed to do .. mount the motor ...
Agreed

Agreed, even worse are the new oil charged ones. Garbage
They want more money for replacement parts
Yeah i told dealer to hold up before i let them do it.. then i watched this.. it was easier on my 2010 cadillac dts.. they can have at it 😂
So much easier if you yank the inner fender well. 5 minutes and you can see everything you're working on.
