I used to live about 20 min from this track. It's downright frightening what they will let run down this track. I saw some stuff there that would be kicked out of other tracks before they even got unloaded....
ambulance crew wasn't even near their vehicle, and when they got to their truck, took 40 seconds to get it rolling. Not a single fire extinguisher in sight. Looks like a safe place... at least the starting line didn't have 4000 spectators blocking the burnout.

The surface certainly looked different. Lots of lateral movement. The cars didn't look crazy fast. Looked like lots of rubber (but slimey?) down the middle and once you got out of the groove you were kicked sideways by the difference in grip. To me it looked like it would have been a better race if the track had been scrapped. It is more fun and predictable to white smoke the tires and keep the car straight than have the car squirming around across a surface with different grip levels.

Most that run there for the past 20 years have no issue. Problems arise when new assholes show up and try to rotate the earth. The winter series runs 1500+ cars down the track with no major problems. It is a bracket racing track, and it works just fine for that.

Only took one minute and 10 seconds for the ambulance to get there. Self rescue required at that track. Hope the driver is ok.
