- Trying some magical and amazing Japanese Snacks and Candy!! I brought a back of my favorite Dagashi (Japanese penny candies) and snacks back from Tokyo, and my brother Jesse (who is allergic to everything under the sun) finally gets something he can eat! Gluten free, and no allergens!

I know his pain... my little brother is allergic to grain, it means he cant even have rice or glutenfree and he also allergic to anything that walks,swim or fly. The happy face I get when I manage to make a dessert that doesnt kill him is pure heaven.
I’m a no grain, legumes, dairy, cane sugar. I also moderate fruits, nuts and seeds. In Japan I love yaki imo 🍠. Hostels and Airbnb work for me and I love going through Japanese supermarkets and buying all the Asian vegetables that are harder to get in Australia. My health comes first though.

We went to this shop last year because you recommended it in an older video of yours. The shopping trip had ended with a Dagashi tasting in our hotel room and a suitcase full of snacks and candy, we brought back home to Germany.

That's so nice of you to send Jesse a whole package of the snack he can have! I only have one big allergy so I'd be able to enjoy most Dagashi, so if I ever get back to Japan, they're going on my list!

I love when people love snacks (in general) as much as I do. Like, as much as I like meal foods, I would almost always take a meal made of snacks. I have done that, actually. In the past week and a half, I have eaten lunches made up entirely of spicy pickles and dried fruit.
Actually, one of my favorite snacks is GF, and free of peanut, though I'm not sure about all the allergen info(by which I mean their cheesy flavors have dairy as a listed allergen, and the other flavors don't have allergen warnings but also don't state explicitly that they are allergen free). It's the "Sizzlin' Sriracha" Incredipuffs from the brand "Snack Brigade".
For me it mostly just fills the craving for the texture of cheese doodles without incurring my hate of the flavor of cheese doodles.
I was wondering where that crack in the plastic came from LOL.
An ad popped up halfway through about where Jesse said he was going to save it for later and said "I don't want" but then the screen went black for a bit before the ad came on.... The suspense was killer! I was like what?! Oh no! What happened to Jesse's snacks!!?!!
Then funnily enough it cut to an olive garden ad 😂

Quite often I forget how lucky I am to have a Don Quijote and other Asian markets like Nijiya Mart here in Hawaii cause I can easily get most if not all of these snacks . My favorites will still be Calbee chips and Meiji chocolate though !

I'm allergic against gluten, laktose, fructose, hazelnuts, tomatos and rye. But I'm also allergic against histamines aka the fun surprise allergy where you're never quite sure when n what you're reacting too :")
But in my experience Asian Cousine n snacks give me the less problems n I'm Sooo looking forward to my japan trip next year :D

I know what Jesse feels like! I’m actually allergic to soy beans, milk, egg, and peanuts. Even in Japan there’s no so much to eat.
When I found out I’m allergic to those I had to get rid of everything contained these and then there was nothing left in my fridge and storage and I felt so sad.
Luckily for me now I could have some bites of these. Still hates soy beans though.
Anyways, I guess there should be more Japanese snacks he could eat... not too much to choose from but definitely more other than nerunerunerune.

Yeah, my little sister is also allergic to a bunch of stuff and each time she finds something she is happier than a panda cub in a bamboo forest.
Jesse is so sweet! My sister cant have gluten either or anything that's touched it so I work on my own allergy cooking and baking and can make some pretty good gluten free desserts.

Every time I see big katsu I really want to try it. Katsu as candy is such a strange idea that I love it. Does it taste sweet or savoury though? Glad Jesse finally has something to eat.

I feel for your brother. I can't have dairy or fructose. And even cutting those out...I still get sick. So I have even more allergies/intolerance I have to hunt down. High fat things and meat seem to be two things that might be causing issues...caffeine is a possibility and then for other health reasons...I have to be on a low salt diet to top it all off...food = pain.

I think it's really cool that you're selling snacks! Subscription boxes from sites like Tokyo Treat or Akibento are really overpriced, they charge like 5x the value of what they are sending you, I'll definitely buy a box from you when I get paid.
