Considering the game was originally developed for Xbox, it’s better to experience it on Xbox as intended. The ports were designed differently in scope and scale.
Playing the game on newer Xbox consoles help iron out performance issues.
For some reason, YT keeps marking my original comment as spam. Not sure why. I reposted it several times and to no avail: same issue persists. It’s a shame really because it was a long detailed comment.
But I’ll just say that the original Xbox version reigns supreme. The sound and visuals are top-notch, and it also has the most bonus features. Being first out of the gate, the Xbox version happened to come with a lot of DVD-type content. It has: Production notes, Profile: Sam Fisher, Character Animation, Profile: Superior Gear, Profile: Game Design, Building Levels, Using Light and Shadow, Music Composition, Music Integration, The Voice of Sam Fisher, and Sam Fisher Off Duty. For some reason, the PC version doesn’t include any of these, whereas the GameCube and PS2 versions only have The Voice of Sam Fisher, Sam Fisher Off Duty and some random fact listings that the Xbox has. The Xbox version also featured a few downloadable levels that was available via Xbox Live (which are also available in the PC port and the backwards compatible Xbox version on Xbox One and Series X/S upon starting the game), the GameCube version allows you to link to the GBA version to show a radar on the GBA screen, as well as being able to use the sticky bomb, which is a weapon exclusive to the GameCube version, and the PS2 version includes an exclusive power plant mission. In addition, the GameCube and PS2 versions both come equipped with binoculars out of the gate, which is not in the Xbox, PC, and PS3 versions. Meanwhile, the PC and PS3 ports of the game don’t really have any of their own exclusive features, but the PC port does give you the option to play the game with either a mouse and keyboard or a controller, which is something you can’t do on the others. But as far as gameplay and features go, they all have their own benefits, but the Xbox version is arguably the best in terms of pure gameplay and features. It should also be pointed out that the Xbox version of the game was the first version to be released and it was developed by Ubisoft Montreal, the PC version is a port of Ubisoft Montreal’s Xbox version, the PS3 version is a port of the PC port, and finally, the GameCube and PS2 versions were developed by a different studio (Ubisoft Shanghai), and thus are similar. This is important to understand because the differences between Ubisoft Montreal’s version and Ubisoft Shanghai’s version are massive, to say the least. As a result of being developed by a different studio, the GameCube and PS2 versions are home to a number of graphical downgrades, redesigned levels, amongst other changes.
Xbox version like often struggles of unstable frame rate.
Gamecube meanwhile is something between PS2 and Xbox: good image quality and stable and high frame rate (the game runs almost perfect 60 fps).
The PC port was great too: I remember how played it back in the day and Splinter Cell was really revolutionary stealth game that combines solid stealth gameplay and cinematic feeling.
Also I remember that PS3 remaster had lots of bugs.
"good image quality" are you blind
I think you should’ve test Splinter Cell on Xbox Series X over 360 for a better result
Looks the same to me.

Dude the struggle to play it on PC was real. Hahaha.
Shift to jump. Mouse wheel up and down adjusts Sam’s movement speed.
Ps3 version is the best.
It may look like it, but it has a few bug related issues
There are framerate issues and screen tearing on the PS3 version too.
