    I'm so excited by the latency on this keyboard! I saw the blue color and knew I needed it. I did order it on Dangkeebs tho, cos I wanted the 1.6mm non-flex cut PCB. I can't wait to get it! It's sooo pretty

    • @thoccnology

      I totally understand, I hope all the vendors will offer the 1.6mm version soon. Non-flex is getting more and more popular I think!

    I'm really looking forward to this board arriving. I have some of it's similarly priced and more expensive competitors and I'm anxious to see how I feel about it. Your review was fantastic and I appreciate the time you took to go over everything in detail. I have the blue and black ordered and on the way so I'll likely be trying some new switches in them soon! Thanks for always making such great videos.

      It'd be interesting to hear your personal experience after comparing them to your other boards. I don't have too many super expensive keyboards but I have a feeling that with the recent changes on the market, these boards will be able to compete (and even be on-par) with the former $2-300 keyboards. But I'd love someone to confirm it.
      Thank you for your comment! ^^

    Hi! I discovered your channel not too long ago. Your reviews are very informative while also catering to the type of keyboard aesthetic I'm into. A perfect combination imo. 😂
    I'm in such a quandary. My ears are very particular and picky when it comes to sound. Being newish to the mechanical keyboard community I like the thocky, marbly sound you get from the Leobog 75/Hi8 but I'm finding I NEED that clack at the finish and it just isn't quite there for me on the Leobog boards sadly. So I settled on getting the Aula 75 because I thought that was the best of both worlds since I favor just a bit more clack. But then THIS keyboard drops and now I'm wondering what keycap/switch potential there is which I haven't seen people experiment with on UA-cam yet for sound tests.
    Also, the spacebar sounds AMAZING on this keyboard with all the foam. Without it has that same hollow cavernous sound that I can't stand. 😂 I felt the same pain with Leobog and Aula unfortunately so now I have spacebar mod videos saved so I can mitigate that a bit. 😅
    That being said which would you recommend? Aula 75 or the ND75? 🤔

    • @thoccnology

      Oh, that's so flattering to hear, thank you so much for the praise!

  • @Shivartin
    @Shivartin 3 місяці тому

    Wow, the mech keyboard quality vs price moved so much in two years. Two years ago, I bought my first mechanical keyboard: Redragon K530 Pro. I changed switches, added foam, lubed and adjusted stabilizers, changed keycaps. I spent more money on that keyboard and it will never sound as good as the ND75. I am not mad. I had a lot of fun learning all the steps. I am just so happy that this is the new standard now :). I like the all foam and silica gel no foam sound signatures.

    • @thoccnology
      @thoccnology  3 місяці тому +1

      I feel the same! Looking back, so much money was spent on keyboards that now don't seem so worth it. You're right, it's better to experiment with such keyboards and get the grasp of all kinds of mods! ^^ Also, from a macroeconomic perspective, I think it was necessary. It showed manufacturers that this is a living market with changing needs, making it worth their while to put in the effort and ensure competition. At least that's what I tell myself to validate all the spending. :D

    Looks absolutely amazing and great value overall, I do prefer the sound of leobogs or rainy tho, maybe comparison including the same switches in those three? Btw is it possible to do some closeups on the alu finish on these? I would love to see how they compare.
    Also there is yet another budget keeb coming out, Bridge 75, I wonder if it holds up.

    These are superb features at under $100, especially the screw-less case. The sound profile is also good (though I'm not a fan of the switch that it comes with). The only down side is these don't seem to support VIA or QMK, which some people really need. It's good that you keep highlighting these killer budget boards which are continuously setting new standards for the market.

    Great video as always. I received the Leobog Hi75 last week and really liked the sound with SOA keycaps that you recommended. Now this keyboard has new tech, aluminum body and very great sound, how would you compare it with Leobog Hi75? I could still return the Leobog since it's still in return period. But I really liked SOA keycap with Nimbus switch.
    Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you.

    • @thoccnology
      @thoccnology  2 місяці тому +2

      I don't think I will ever sell my Hi75 (currently I own 2pcs). They're legends at this point, and are very, very good.
      Pros in Hi75 over ND75: it has a volume knob which is my absolutely preferred layout, and has SOA keycaps which I find very comfortable and great-sounding
      Pros in ND75 over Hi75: has a screen, has 3-mode connection, and has the ball-catch opening+magnetic connector which might be convenient if you mod the internals of your keyboard very often
      All the other aspects are almost identical, so if you feel that some of these properties are more important than others, you can choose that exact keyboard based on that. ^-^

      Thank you for sharing your experience! I'll try to make a comparison including those two in the near future.

    What the hell, ball catch AND a magnetic connector? I really hope that becomes a standard...multiple mounting options are nice too.
    However, I don't like sacrificing keys for a gimmick screen, they didn't get the memo that the market is moving away from flex cuts everywhere (and the PCB is 1.2mm to boot) and there is no VIA...

      I think these are the baby steps towards a max potential keyboard! @@hoaphamthi2017 where do you see 1.6 non flex cut? Not seeing it on the website, also where did you see rainy being sold for 65 bucks?

      It's a tough choice, both have some nice features, I like that it comes with FR4 plate and a unique steel plate. In the ND75 I love the ball-catch&magnetic solutions (and ofc this beauty of anodized blue)

      Since Vietnam borders China, we have easy access to a large number of keyboards that are sold for more money in western countries because of the cost of shipping. A 1.6mm non-flex PCB is available for pre-order with the ND75, however shipping won't begin until July. I'm not sure if it's limited to China. Everything is really inexpensive in my country, even a used QK-60/65 can be purchased easily for 65-80 dollars, so rainy at 65 dollars is hardly worth it. :)))

    How much latency diff that effect to fps gaming from keyboard?
    Lets say 20 ms or something?

      It depends on the person, but it's widely accepted and said that under-10ms should be used for competitive (fast-paced FPS) gaming.
      This exact keyboard only has a 3.3ms latency, so it's almost non-existent (it literally means 0.0033 second).

      @@thoccnology ok and help me pick 1 between aula F75 / ak860pro

      @@IISRADSIRS If you mean the AK820Pro, in short, the AK820 Pro is cheaper, but needs some mods to fully emphasize the good sound, the F75 is a bit more expensive, but is absolutely good to be used out of the box.
      Also the F75 has Cherry-profile keycaps in pretty colors, while the AK820 Pro has OEM profile, also it has a mini TFT screen and has a bit better latency.
      All in all, I'd say it's OK to choose whichever design you feel closer to your heart.
