    No matter what you are wearing, no one is allowed to touch you if you don't want them to! That's the same here as in the US, just tell him to f*** off, no one thinks that you kind of provocated(?) him by your clothes

      Ìt is a complex topic. As a women my self, somtimes that happens to me as well, mostly out partieing and alcohol envolved. Usually I tell them they must be mistaken and thats it. Somtimes being nice, smileing often, being open and somehow special for some drunk guys seems to be an invitation...Might be your outfit was sexy, more likely you are sexy in the way you are acting

    One example about free education: In tehe german constitution (learned from the past) we intruduced as Article 1 and two (I will try to translate)
    Art. 1 (1) Die Würde des Menschen ist unantastbar. Sie zu achten und zu schützen ist Verpflichtung aller staatlichen Gewalt.
    and (important for free Education)
    Art 2 (1) Jeder hat das Recht auf die freie Entfaltung seiner Persönlichkeit, soweit er nicht die Rechte anderer verletzt und nicht gegen die verfassungsmäßige Ordnung oder das Sittengesetz verstößt.
    First in english: The Dignity of a human is untouchable. The duty of all govermantal power is to esteem and protect (the dignity of a human) it.
    This e.g. is one reason why we do not have american style prisons. High court decided that it would violate the dignity of the prisoners and therefore even the prisoners have the right to be treathed with respect.
    Second: Everybody has the right for free development of his individuality, as long as this not violate the right of others or violate the constitutional order or moral laws.
    To be able to develop his individuality it must be possible that averybody has the right and must be able to get inforamtion and get access to the educational system. This right would be broken when only rich people were be able to get access to higher education and poor people are excluded from education.
    Excluding somebody because "he has not the money to pay for" would also violate the dignity of the person.... so gervermant has to ensure that even poor people will have access to higher education.
    And because Art 1 doesn't tell about the diginity of GERMAN people (it is about all people independant of nationality) free education must be ensured for all.

    25:00 Because you are a sexy woman by nature, whatever you wear will always be considered as such. Also: Unlike in the US, dark skinned women are not very common, so you always have an exotic and thus interesting appearance. It will be difficult to just blend in for you, because you just stand out with your charisma.

    No matter what you wear, that doesn't give anyone the right to grope you. It's not your fault!😧

    BTW since you were in Cologne: You could directly experience the effect the massive bombings during WW2 had on German cities, since Cologne was pretty much 90% destroyed. A miracle made it happen that the cathedral stayed mostly intact. Just the central train station with its 1950/60s architectural style (much like many buildings in the center of Cologne) is the result of the necessity to quickly rebuild the city after the end of the war. Because of that many call Cologne one of the ugliest mayor city in Germany (same with Wuppertal, which was heavily bombarded because of its industry). Without the world war, German cities would look much different, much more oldschool (like Rome or Paris).

      That is crazy . I still find certain areas beautiful but the majority of the cities back home are only scenic in certain areas ... Even Germany’s “worst” beats out the majority of what we have 😂.

      A miracle and the dedication of the people of Cologne who defied the authorities and repaired some of the damage in the dark of the night.

      FYI: A Picture from Wikipedia of Cologne (with Cathedral) made directly after the war.

    Cologne is a City, Düsseldorf is a Dorf (village) ;-) - And never ever ask in Cologne for an Alt Beer in a Kölsch Brewery pub ;-)

    Little nitpick: Nothing is "free" (not education, not healthcare). It's actually pretty expensive. It's just that the taxpayer (people with income) pays for it for you. Literally the cashier in the supermarket around the corner helps financing this "free" education with the taxes they pay. A worker, unmarried with no children, gives up to 50% of their income to the state to finance all this. For public healthcare for example you have to give away around 16% of your monthly income.
    Fun fact: Ticket prices for bus/train would be twice as high if the taxpayer wouldnt subsidize it. Same with many museum or theater tickets which are subsidized with tax money.
    One of the mayor political struggles in Germany for the future will be to keep up the high social security / infrastructure standards if you have an aging/shrinking population with a declining productivity. There is only so much a shrinking workforce can finance without having to give away 100% of their income.

      Oh yes, if only it were truly "free". I like to think of it that way though. After the 1,000 or so per semester, monthly healthcare, and 8 thousand for proof of financial resources, it's close to free for a foreign student... compared to the US anyways. Incredibly some Uni's offer even cheaper semester fees than that. It all depends on which you're applying to or who offer your degree track.

      Why should productivity be reduced? Digitisation raises it almost immeasurably for us. If there are fewer jobs, it is also very practical if there are fewer people. The main problem is the poor distribution of wealth.

    • @TheTuubster
      @TheTuubster 6 років тому

      "Digitisation raises it almost immeasurably for us." That's a fairy tale, driven by self interest: "I WANT IT ALL TO BE EASY FOR ME!". Let's keep this fiction in the Grimms books. "If there are fewer jobs, it is also very practical if there are fewer people." - which is also bullshit, because it is not about "fewer people", it is about "fewer people that work compared to those who dont work". If it continues like this, in a not so far future 2 workers have to finance 1 pensioner (pension & health care). Simple math alone shows that this wont work. "Poor distribution of wealth" - let me guess: And you see yourself on the side of those who receive that money, not those who give; so this is also about pure self-interest.

    • @yasminesteinbauer8565
      @yasminesteinbauer8565 6 років тому +2

      I'm not getting any state support. I'm afraid you got it wrong. And my opinion didn't come from self-interest, as you suppose.
      It's not a worker who supports two pensioners, but a worker and 3 robots. (To illustrate it visually.)
      Only that nowadays, 100% of the output of the 3 robots goes to the owner. Which makes the rich even richer and the poor (due to the loss of their jobs) even poorer. Even Bill Gates thinks we need a robot tax.
      Productivity increases in stages whenever there are innovations. For example, if you follow the progress in the field of neural networks, you get a quiet idea of what we are facing. Human domains will fall.
      *Simple* mathematics does not suffice, because it would require extremely complicated mathematics, which would also have to deal with a lot of unknown variables.
      By the way, what's wrong with having a comfortable life? Why did we invent dishwashers, vacuum cleaner robots and car washes? Apart from that, it is the rich who live a comfortable life at the expense of the poor. Not the other way around.

    Northern bavaria, aka Erlangen or Nuremberg should not be so expensive as Munich. However they have a funny dialect there. Actually they call themselves Franken, altough beeing part of bavaria.

    Your "sexy" is not our "sexy".
    When we say it, we mean more in the line of "you really look good in that outfit" or "you costume is fitting you really well" or "the clothing really accentuate your femineity". And it's contains also a notion of sexual attraction. But more with the view than with the person itself. ( man is that hard to explain ... )
    I have the impression that for the Americans "sexy" is a style not an attribute. You have to wear special things to be "sexy". By example to show a certain amount of skin.

      @luxforever3319  6 років тому

      Yes ... I feel like we try harder . Why do we do that , Idk. Perhaps we don’t have enough confident women and so we try to make up for it by wearing a certain ”style” that will validate us.

    Okay, next chance to meet drunk germans is the Nockherberg Starkbierfest in Munich in March. Short trip with an ICE from Nuremberg and of course some transfers included. Sorry for that impertinent Mr. Surgeon. Surely he was very impressed by you, but nevertheless he should have his hands under control. Btw. can we see a picture of these uncredible sexy outfits?
