Good work deserves 👏 👍 Mike, could you look into the Rachel Manning case from the UK please? I feel so close to this tragedy (I lived opposite the telephone booth, where she made her last phone call). Years on end, I'd get up in the night to look at the booth, feeling like I just can't let someone else get into trouble 😢
Really gotta commend the girlfriend for not going into denial - something I could see happen easily in such a situation - and tipping off the cops and allowing the DNA test. Seeing her go off on him was satisfying and you could tell she knew the truth from his nonanswers. Kudos for doing what's right. I really hope his son grows up to be a better person like his very decent mother.
it’s heartbreaking to see her begging him for information in the interrogation room. i can’t imagine how awful it would be to find out that information. i hope his family and all the victims families can heal :(
Welllllll...... okay kudos to her for not going into full, immediate denial. We've all seen people do that. But I watch that clip and I see someone who at least WANTS TO be in denial. From the very first time she asks "Did you do it?", and he doesn't answer, that IS his answer. Anyone falsely accused would be freaking out and sobbing to their partner about how they DID NOT do this horrible thing, which was not only atrocious evil to the victims, but also (if they did do it) cheating on that partner --like why wasn't she 'enough' for his needs? But no, he refuses to answer. Every time she asks after that first time, she's begging him to LIE to her, so she can at least try to live in the in-between world of perception, the one between knowing that your loved one is who you always thought they were, versus knowing they are a beast of nightmares. I suspect a frightening number of spouses, friends, mothers and fathers live there, at least temporarily. I know my grandmother lived there until the day she died, regarding my uncle who molested my sister and our cousin. Even after he was sent to prison and admitted to the whole family that he did it, my grandmother clung to the idea that his pedophilia "made" him do it, like it was so compelling that he couldn't choose not to do it, like epilepsy or something. And mind you that was his mother, but what really hurts and enrages us grandkids the most is that OUR mothers (my mom and her sister e.g. my aunt e.g. my cousin's mom) did not cut off ties to their brother, continued to hang out with him sometimes after he got out of prison. And if any of us dared to question this choice, considering what he did to THEIR daughters, they would lash out as US about it, how they didn't want to talk about it. Like HOW DARE we try to make them imagine being a tiny girl of 4 or 7 years of age, terrified but pretending to be asleep while a huge, hairy, naked man is on top of you, rubbing his whole body on you? HOW DARE we try to drag them out of that in-between world, into the real one, the one where nothing positive about their brother was more relevant than what was horrific about him? Forensic science has brought us to a point where denial SHOULD be just as impossible for a loved one as to an impartial juror. Like this ^ guy said, "They have my DNA!" But note how that means nothing to the girlfriend. True justice would be horrible criminals having zero support from anyone because they don't deserve it. But we're not there yet; the human psyche isn't ready to keep up with science yet. Blind love remains a stubbornly powerful thing.
She is one strong woman. It made me wonder, what made her make the anonymous tip in the first place. Finding women's underwear in the back of your boyfriend's car, surely you would be just thinking that he's cheating, and nothing more nefarious. There would have to be other factors to make her call in that tip. It could be suspicious behaviour, like him quitting his job and getting TF out of dodge when the body was found, but I couldn't help but wonder if he was abusive towards her in any way, whether it be physical, emotional, being controlling, or anything else. It's likely that there was a mixture of things that added up to her feeling concerned. The reports about the type of vehicle, and that there was a small child's shoe inside it. Whatever led to her decision to make that call, I really do commend her for it too.
For anyone wondering, his Girlfriend left him and testified on the stand against him. She blew his alibi out of the water, she testified about his behaviour during the time that each case happened, and also about his silence when she told him they found her body. Oh and by the way, she worked directly across the road from where he left her body. She could see the crime scene from her work.
I’m glad you brought that up about her working right across the field & could see they found a body & called him. I saw this one on Dateline & that was a big part of the clues.
I think he believed he was smarter than the police, like he thought he couldn't get caught. So I think that was definitely intentional. He wanted it all to link back to him, just indirectly. What a scum bag. His gf most likely saved so many other women from going through this horrific ordeal and death. Props to her for having the courage to turn him in and face him.
That poor girlfriend. Watching her in that footage, almost begging him to not be guilty, it just breaks my heart for her. How brave of her to turn him in. She saved who knows how many other lives.
That was rough to watch ... The criminal's family is always overlooked, but it changes their lives too ... Such a beautiful young lady, and seems to have had a good heart ... And dude had a girlfriend, so he could get girls. Makes no sense.
@@topspot4834 Rape have nothing to do with being able/unable to get girls, it's about power and power alone. It has *nothing* to do with sex. That's a myth that got to be killed. Otherwise I agree with you, the criminals family is all too often vilified with the criminal. And that's wrong. They get trumatised by the criminal too.
TRUE she is a good person and she wanted no part of a monster he deserves the death penalty .that pretty young lady would of made the lives of people she met better and never got the chance coz of worthless POS
The girlfriend was the true MVP. He was telling them she'll give him an alibi (probably because so many partners try to protect the monsters instead of the victims) but she decided to go for the truth.
It shows how far police and defective work have come since Ted Bundy's crimes. Bundy's girlfriend suspected him after finding very suspicious items in his car and not once, but TWICE, reached out to police and told them she strongly suspected him. She was in denial at first but her conscience wouldn't let her stay that way. The difference though, is the police identified which tips had the possibility of credibility and they followed up on them
@@TheDramacist to be fair, even if you know the truth in your heart, it's still gotta be shocking and hurtful that your suspicion is in fact reality. Especially when it's a partner or something
Hey mike, you probably won’t see this but. Because of your channel I found what is my true passion in life I was struggling in college trying to get a degree in something I didn’t even like when one day watching your videos it finally clicked for me, I changed my major to criminology and finally finished college. I plan on doing work in the public health field to help with victims of crimes. Anyway just wanted to say thank you for helping me find what I’m truly passionate about.
Hello- thank you for covering this. Brianna was my absolute best friend for many years, we spoke up to the day she was abducted. The pain of losing her is still as fresh as the day it happened but a shred of solace that the person responsible was caught. These are real people with real families and friends and lives, as painful as it is to see her story come up from time to time I will always appreciate her story being told. She was fucking amazing and hilarious and truly one of a kind. Thank you again ❤
Hi OP! I just learned about her cousin Caitlin and her story from another channel, which recommended this video. The family has been through a lot. I am really sorry for your loss and can only wish y'all much renewed strength as you process and overcome these terrible events.
I'm actually blown away, i was literally going to SBCC then..from 08-14 Being a local i made a bunch of friends there and in IV, I'm sorry i never had the chance to meet her, odds are i had friends who did know her. but I'm glad she's still remembered, she deserves to have her name known, not the monster behind this, she sounds like an awesome person
It is so rare that we see partners come out and brining this stuff up. His gf has probably saved many lives. In the time that most try to pretend it is not real, she did what she knew was right. I hope she and her baby find some peace after this horror. And to the victims and the family of Brianna - lots of healing and here is to hoping they are doing well.
Good on her for trying to help the police get a confession from him in the interrogating room too. Not that it really mattered, there was too much evidence stacked against him anyway, but it might have saved time & resources.
Thank God the cops took them seriously. Too often the story would be " oh she wandered off, she met somebody, she ran away". I'm glad to hear the cops actually got on this case right away!
Because her parents had a lot of money and we’ll connected in Reno There’s been other abductions and murders of women that they haven’t solved same police department 🤷🏼♀️ I think it depends on who you know and how much money you have it’s sad but I was glad they found her and her who murdered her
@@jiniu4083 I don't think it's always about colour. It's about social status and money. They don't rush to find the killers of all the murdered sex workers who are white. It's fucked up.
I couldn't imagine finding out that the person you've loved and trusted is actually a rapist/killer. I feel like it would cause a lot of survivor's guilt and questioning every moment as if there were signs you've missed or wondering if you could have prevented anything. Ugh. Situations like these leave so many victims. My heart goes out to them all.
The Chandler Holderson one was one of the worst. And after what he did knowing his gf slept in the house with him afterwards.. poor girl.. she will probably never truly trust another man in her lifetime. 🤢🤮
I love that he taunted the cops by leaving pairs of underwear next to Brianna's body, and in so doing, it led to his arrest and conviction. I hope the victims' families are living their best lives, and are finding peace.
@@truenokill I don't know if I believe that's always the case. I think some killers that do that are bragging and saying "look what I did. Look at me and what I'm capable of".
@@truenokill that "subconscious sign" junk is pseudo-scientific because it is mostly non-falsifiable, and the bits that are falsifiable have so far always contradicted the claims. Psychology has an awful lot of that. Listen to some of the "body language experts" and then ask yourself why they are only chiming in AFTER the case is solved when the make it sound almost as good as telepathy when they examine guys who already are known to be guilty. There was a challenge between one of the "experts" and a few random competitors to guess a liar. Guess how well the "expert" did...
another sad fact to add to this case: her cousin kaitlyn (or caitlyn i can’t remember i’m sorry) dennison went missing not long after. she has not been found. us locals assume sex trafficking as the circumstances are quite odd. look up her story if you’re curious; kendall rae made a video about it. the whole city feels for her family who are dealing with the loss of not one but two beautiful young girls ❤️ thank you for bringing attention to a case local to me mike! her story deserves to be heard
His girlfriend's pain in questioning this killer, her boyfriend, her partner, the father of their son, was totally gut-wrenching as well as heartbreaking. Just imagine being in her shoes since she probably loved this guy! The stuff of nightmares for everyone (other than the killer) who's been involved, truly. Thank God this woman phoned in her tip. She very likely saved other women's lives as well then, no matter what it cost her -- a decent straight+up woman, & away too good for this guy. I hope she's been able to adequately & peacefully rebuild her & her son's lives going forward. Very sad for all.
Brianna’s cousin also went missing at age 19. That was in 2018 and she still hasn’t been found to this day. My heart goes out to this family, I really hope her cousin is found. The details of her disappearance sound very concerning though.
Whether you be 45 years old or no... which yeah, doubtful... perhaps 25, but anyhoo, I look forward to you as well as my mate does twice weekly. We say thankies Mike
Good for the girlfriend in turning him in. One hears too many stories of partners of these criminals who are in denial (and I suppose the girlfriend here was also hoping it wouldn't be true). I remember when Mike's "I love ya" was a little shy, but he's really gotten into it. We love ya back Mike.
@@danceyrselfkleen love doesn't have to be romantic. have you never said those words to friends, family, or people you look up to and respect? if anyone's a creep for assuming, it's you lmao. and it's not even an "i", it's a we as supportive fans, nothing more.
Martha: I noticed that also about Mike speaking up a heck of a lot louder on the I love you ending! PS: Thanks for the love ya back to Mike because we do and disregard the idiots that are clueless of what flirting is all about. God Bless.
Hey Mike!! As soon as you said her name, I realized I know this story well. There have been several documentaries about this case. What's wild is his gf finding out and that confrontation. Also, Brianna's mother has been such an advocate of her daughter's and other victims. She's an amazing woman. Now I'm off to watch your video because I know you'll do a great job of telling this story. Edit: I'm so glad you showed the gf confronting him. I felt so bad for her but I commend her for doing the right thing.
I can't imagine finding out that the man you love (or at least share a life with) is a serial rapist, or killer. Most of the time they never see the monster side, as these guys are usually quite good at compartmentalizing. Good for her on speaking out, and getting him off the streets.
I hope so there was a “similar case” in Danby Vermont but police didn’t physically show up even after numerous calls. They didn’t even want to collect DNA.
Also, let me share my deepest sympathy with that poor girlfriend of his. How could anyone come out of something like this not completely psychically destroyed? I hope she's getting the help she needs because she's a victim, too. Girl, you did the right thing and you have saved who knows how many lives because he would keep going... Best wishes to you.
Hey Mike, I think you should consider covering Bob Berdella! He was known as the Kansas City butcher. By day he ran a weird flea market store called "Bob's Bazaar Bizarre" but by night he prowled the streets for vulnerable men he would "take in" but while they were in his home he would torture them in horrific ways. He was caught after a victim managed to escape. It's an interesting case and not super well known. Edit: to the clowns giving me grief because iT's BeEn CoVeReD bY OtHeR cHanNelS, are you unaware that Mike has already covered extensively done cases? A lot of people still don't know about Bob, and even those who do would still probably enjoy Mike's take on the story. It's not like these stories are off limits, I think everyone who wants to cover a story with their own flavor should do so. Also, "Bob's Bazaar Bizarre" was the correct title of his shop, look it up.
Bob here…they never caught me but I allowed them to think that. I’ve escaped, changed my name, and love Supras! (Alright, never heard about Bob so I’m down for a new story!) 😬
I watch a lot of true crime, and I feel sad about the countless tragedies that occur, but Berdella is the one case that really gets to me and gives me the creeps.
I went to school at UNR at the time that Brianna went missing. The entire campus went into lockdown, there was a curfew for the students and the campus police and Reno PD offered to drive folks to their houses even if they lived just a block away from the campus. As much as it was horrific for that girlfriend to realize she might be dating a monster I'm glad she did the right thing and turn him in. RIP Brianna
Yeah, that's when they started really putting cash into the campus escort services as well. I was a sophomore at UNR at the time. I had a late class that ended at 7:45 and I would park in Whalen, because it was so late the little meter devices were like half price. Anyway, I would circuit Whalen once before I would leave, then I would hit Lawler on my way to McCarran, just to make sure.
The title reminded me of Polly Klaas, who was a 12-year-old girl kidnapped from a slumber party she was having with two friends in 1993; she was assaulted, murdered, and dumped. I was her age when it happened and I slept on the floor of my parents’ room for weeks after. I’ve been into True Crime since then, as a way to learn about the world and how to protect myself. I’ve read about thousands of victims, but I will never forget Polly. Mike should cover her story.
The mention of Mendocino grabbed my attention. (I live in Mendocino County.) and Polly Klaas was very close. (Petaluma where she was grabbed. I believe her body found in Cloverdale. And Richard Allen Davies was hiding in Redwood Valley (Which is in Mendocino County) near where I live in Ukiah.) I'm waiting for someone to really cover that story in depth on one of these channels. There's unsolved mysteries and other sources for that story though. So it may be "overplayed" for most of these channels.
@@mollyk5557 you need to take time to look at all of Mike's videos to see the respect he gives to those in his stories and don't label someone you don't know hiding behind the keyboard of your phone.
I had a baby last week and these videos have been keeping me going 😂 I swear the baby falls asleep to Mike's voice after watching so much during my pregnancy.
It's almost worthwhile that people get murdered, molested, abducted & tortured so Mike can tell us all about it.! After all, the important thing is that we're entertained isn't it.
@@alantaylor353 I see what you’re saying.. but idk. I feel like this channel always shows the proper reverence, and it’s told in a palatable way. I’m sure murder and the worst of human behavior has been studied and told like this for a very long time. You have a good point and I appreciate the compassion, I just feel that it’s misplaced in this situation.
That must have been a horrible feeling when she started to think that her boyfriend was the killer. She did right thing and probably saved a lot of lives, but it must have been hard to do.
As a Mom to five daughters, I fear every day what could happen to them. I have taught them since birth basically about how to do every single thing possible to keep themselves safe, instilling habits that hopefully stay with them their whole lives.
Crimes of opportunity are very scary, for many people they have never even committed a serious assault type crime before and then bam! they do, some go on to never do it again, they are very hard to catch.
Having suffered that kind of assault twice. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your decent way of sharing these awful stories. It strangely makes it easier to confide with my fella You do an awesome job and your sensitivity is excellent Love you too (so does my guy) x
Can you imagine being drunk with a huge hangover only to get kidnapped and murdered? Poor girl. It appears the homeowners changed the door to one you can't see right through.
Honestly I can't even imagine being able to fall asleep with a top-to-bottom windowed door right at my feet. Maybe she was too drunk to even think, but then it fell on her friends (especially the one that lived in the house) to make sure that frikkin door was LOCKED! Look at 22:10 --that thing had both a key AND keypad lock, but hey why bother taking advantage of that? For that matter, how could you even sit on that couch and watch TV with that giant rectangle of transparency right beside you, no curtains on it or anything, especially at night when someone standing out in the dark can see you perfectly, but you can't see them? And the thing is, I'm a fool for windows; the more the merrier in my book. I LOVE having the house filled with natural light in the daytime, and I think it's such a shame when I see people keeping them covered with curtains or blinds. I could even appreciate having a fully-glassed door like that. But all you have to do is apply privacy frosting to the glass (they sell self-adhesive sheets at home improvement stores). Or do like I did with ALL the windows in my house: make window curtains out of the kind of shower curtains that are clear but with fragmented shapes, so you can't really make anything out by looking through them. I have the light in the daytime, privacy 24/7, and the ability to to pull the curtain aside if I need to see what's making a noise outside or whatever.
Wow his girlfriend's words are so hard to hear. It must be so difficult to go through that. I hope we all would have the strength she did if we found ourselves in such a horrible situation
Growing up in California, you learned to lock your doors as soon as you came into the house. I was in such the habit that there were times after I went grocery shopping that I'd lock my mom out while she was grabbing the rest of the groceries. She never got mad at me when I did it because of the high profile kidnapping cases that were going on at the time. The abduction of Polly Klaas was in the paper and on the news a lot back then.
I keep my doors locked. Even my police officer brother teases me. Every place is safe…until it isn’t. I have no plans to be a statistic if I can help it.
Yeah, it's not just California. It's a wise thing to do in every state. We didn't lock our door out in the country in California except at night for about 10 years. Of course now I've been keeping it locked for about 20.
The mindsets of some are mind boggling like how do you walk by a house see a woman sleeping & think I’m going to abduct her. That poor girl had to be so scared waking up to that. How sad.
@@mollyk5557 u don't understand. it's not about disrespecting the victims it's about being able to get the stories out there, for the safety of others, and if it is all doom and gloom, mike would most certainly burn out. keep it light-hearted as possible mike. it's what makes u special.
How sad for many people! The victims, the girlfriend (thank God she came forward, saved more lives I'm sure) and his little boy! The victims families, friends etc. Never sleep without a curtain and a locked door! So many creepy people in this world! Another solid video Mike! 👍
What was really sad is how his parents were treated afterward. I delivered pizza in Sparks (Reno suburb) and they lived on one of the primary streets in a neighborhood to which I frequently delivered. Their house and cars were constantly vandalized.
I was attending a different college in the same city as Brianna when this happened, and a lot of my friends and classmates knew her (SBCC kids and UCSB kids went to the same hangouts and parties). This was such a huge wakeup call to everyone in Santa Barbara. People living in party houses who always left doors unlocked for people who needed somewhere to crash started locking up when they went to bed. When you're 19 you think something like this could never happen to you...

I was @UCSB 2001-05 and yes, the environment in Isla Vista was primed for criminals. There's such a long list of abductions, serial killer, etc that came through SB since the 60s.
From 'taunting the police' to being handed to the police by his girlfriend, and being scared to give her a straight answer, this was a satisfying one. I hope he's getting an added dose of 'prison justice' 🤞🏻 Thanks Mike, love ya! 🤗
He's on death row, just a waiting game in isolation. Not much prison justice to be had as its a bit more cushy than your average cell block but.. he'll be dead sooner than later and I'm sure that f*cks with him everyday, at least, I hope it does

Sounds like she was as promiscuous as Brianna so she learned absolutely nothing and wanted to be loose and fast like her cousin and most likely the same fate.
Very sad story. 😔 I'm glad her murderer was caught. Kudos to his girlfriend making the anonymous call to the police. I love you, Mike! You're the best storyteller. 💕

How sad to lose your husband, then years later your daughter. She traveled the world too, but it was in her hometown at a friend's house when she was kidnapped and killed. That's crazy to me. RIP and bless her poor mom and family. Also, the friends must have felt so horrified to know when they were asleep, this monster came in, and was in there with them. So terrifying.
I remember seeing the interrogation footage of this case years ago. Brianna deserved better. At least this monster is locked away, as he was well on his way to becoming a serial killer.
I'd say he is well confirmed as a serial rapist. No telling how many victims are still out there dealing with hidden trauma for the rest of their lives because they were too ashamed to report the crime. I hope the mother moved far away and changed her and her son's name so he'll never know what his father did. This creep destroyed so many lives and deserves the harshest punishment.

Wow this one really give me the creeps. I'm sure that all of us have innocently crashed on a friends couch at some time in our lives, never giving it a seconds thought. I suppose the difference for those of us from South Africa is that we all lock our doors & have done so for decades, but that doesn't always keep the creeps out... Thanks as always for an interesting story, told in your unique & fun way. Keep safe and remember we love ya.

I was an au-pair for a year, big house with a glass door to the back garden. Whenever the family was away for a night or two and I was alone, just the sight of that glass door freaked me out so much, I locked myself into my bedroom and put a chair to the door. Maybe overreaction, but the whole concept of me alone in a house and a guy looking in from the outside.... No, thanks.
Doors have locks for a reason. It’s lazy and cavalier not to use them. Lots of folks think that if they’re not in the ghetto, they’re safe. Until the ghetto comes to them. Far more often, though, it’s people they know or live nearby by that do them in. Either way… doors stay locked unless I’m going through em. It’s the bare minimum that can go a long way to staying safe.
rest in peace brianna. to be stolen away while you innocently slept is the very definition of terrifying. true crime stories almost always leave me shaking my head in disbelief or exasperation; this story left me so saddened for brianna and her loved ones. i'm also v grateful the perpetrator was brought to justice.

Hey Mike! Watched this early over on your Patreon channel. Absolutely tragic for Brianna and her family. To think she traveled the world only to have her life taken at home, where she should have felt safest. I just don’t have words for what a despicable POS the monster who did this to her was. May he rot in hell when his time comes.
@@clementine2001 I thought the same thing, but I understood why she did it. She couldn’t reconcile that the man she loved. The father of her child. The man she shared a bed with, could be a cold, heartless rapist and killer. She saw the man she thought she knew standing in front of her transformed into the monster he really is. It probably blew her mind and tore her heart to pieces. She was devastated for herself, and for him. I can’t imagine.
There is no hell he could rot in. If there was a God, Brianna would still be alive and such monsters would not exist. Can you see how twisted your mind is?
This is one I can comfortably weigh in on. I've lived in Reno all my life. This was a big deal. I was a sophomore in high school when this became news. Her cousin Dylan was in my art class during that month she was missing. I remember his distress well. I didn't go to Reno High, but this case affected everyone in Reno. It was a sad time. I am now employed as a producer (at the time of this comment) by KOLO 8, one of the stations you used some clips from P.S. Thank you for pronouncing Nevada correctly Rest in peace, Brianna
@@TwinBlasters I was listening specifically for that, and I really thought I heard him mispronounce it as most people do, saying "Nev-odd-uh" instead of pronouncing the "A" the correct way, ("a" as in "cat").

Mike, could you look into the Rachel Manning case from the UK please? I feel so close to this tragedy (I lived opposite the telephone booth, where she made her last phone call). Years on end, I'd get up in the night to look at the booth, feeling like I just can't let someone else get into trouble 😢
Really gotta commend the girlfriend for not going into denial - something I could see happen easily in such a situation - and tipping off the cops and allowing the DNA test. Seeing her go off on him was satisfying and you could tell she knew the truth from his nonanswers. Kudos for doing what's right. I really hope his son grows up to be a better person like his very decent mother.
it’s heartbreaking to see her begging him for information in the interrogation room. i can’t imagine how awful it would be to find out that information. i hope his family and all the victims families can heal :(
The boy has a better chance growing up without that father in his life, as hard as it will be on the child knowing what his father is.
yeh but at the same time son's of killers like that should be checked ip on growing up. poor Girl Hope she with Jesus now!
God that’s horrendous…I don’t think I could go back to work after that.
@@avacatherine5646 Yea like seriously wtf.

So I think that was definitely intentional. He wanted it all to link back to him, just indirectly. What a scum bag. His gf most likely saved so many other women from going through this horrific ordeal and death. Props to her for having the courage to turn him in and face him.
Where he left the body... It means he didn't even respect his own girlfriend. What a monster.
That poor girlfriend. Watching her in that footage, almost begging him to not be guilty, it just breaks my heart for her. How brave of her to turn him in. She saved who knows how many other lives.

Well, that's good, but even locking it would have been even better.

Everyone else already said it, that girlfriend really came thru for the victims. That's rare. A really good job on this one Mike.
I wonder what he used to cause the blood on the pillow? Did he use a nail gun or drill to kill her and have sex with the dead body?
Thanks, Mike. Take care of you, too, because we Love YOU!
New Mike video curing my depression for a half hour as usual.

Danke!
Thank you mike for keeping me company while i am in hospital
I was attending a different college in the same city as Brianna when this happened, and a lot of my friends and classmates knew her (SBCC kids and UCSB kids went to the same hangouts and parties). This was such a huge wakeup call to everyone in Santa Barbara. People living in party houses who always left doors unlocked for people who needed somewhere to crash started locking up when they went to bed. When you're 19 you think something like this could never happen to you...
there was a “similar case” in Danby Vermont near a college I attended but police didn’t physically show up even after numerous calls. They didn’t even want to collect DNA.
Wow- it’s almost like you were right there…
@@BallinComedy That's horrifying! What was their justification? Did they just assume it was a "runaway" situation?
@@markeviston8077 Not at all, just an example of the ripple effect a crime like this has on the wider community.
I hope he's getting an added dose of 'prison justice' 🤞🏻
Thanks Mike, love ya! 🤗
He's on death row, just a waiting game in isolation. Not much prison justice to be had as its a bit more cushy than your average cell block but.. he'll be dead sooner than later and I'm sure that f*cks with him everyday, at least, I hope it does

So close to us. Such a tragic loss, Reno was on alert. Her body was found on a vacant lot across my husband's office window. RIP, Bri. Just a note - by 2021 the population of Washoe County is approaching 450K. That's how fast things change...
Well told. RIP the young lady that lost her life senselessly.
Hey Mike, you should look into her cousin. She went missing as well and is still missing to this day. Her name is Caitlin Denison. Kendall Rae did a video about her as well. I believe caitlin’s last known whereabouts was Midland, Texas with a truck driver but months later a women gave her a ride to her “boyfriends” and that was the last known sighting of her. Please look into this!!!!!!!!
whaaat?? that is absolutely insane! poor family
omg
Jesus, this poor family!
How odd . And terrible of course .
Sounds like she was as promiscuous as Brianna so she learned absolutely nothing and wanted to be loose and fast like her cousin and most likely the same fate.
I am Nevada born!!!! You treated this story so great thank you
Very sad story. 😔 I'm glad her murderer was caught. Kudos to his girlfriend making the anonymous call to the police. I love you, Mike! You're the best storyteller. 💕
Perfect, I was just about to dye my hair that chapter red. Now I have something rad to listen to whilst I do so ❤️

I will never forget it
How sad to lose your husband, then years later your daughter. She traveled the world too, but it was in her hometown at a friend's house when she was kidnapped and killed. That's crazy to me. RIP and bless her poor mom and family. Also, the friends must have felt so horrified to know when they were asleep, this monster came in, and was in there with them. So terrifying.
How did she travel the world?

He has his own show. Lol, it’s called “That Chapter” I believe you’re watching it right now.
I remember seeing the interrogation footage of this case years ago. Brianna deserved better. At least this monster is locked away, as he was well on his way to becoming a serial killer.
Should be pushing up daisies.
I almost forgot it was Friday until I got the notification! Thanks for making my entire week once again, Mike.

P.S. You pronounced Nevada the correct way
I can't imagine the terror of waking up with a pillow pressed down hard on your face. I've woken up being strangled and it's impossible to get your bearings when jolted awake like that. And she couldn't even see, which feels like it would be worse. Poor Girl 😞

Amber, I'm a domestic violence survivor who has sadly also been woken up to being strangled. Even 6 years out from his abuse, I still remember all too well what a completely terrifying and helpless feeling that was. Being woken up from a deep sleep by violence. Your body and mind disoriented and struggling to comprehend what is happening, going into fight or flight mode. It was truly awful. I'm really so sorry that you've had to endure that. It is unexcusable. I hope that you're doing well now, and staying safe! Sending love and light to you, internet stranger. ♥️

I wouldn't have been able to stand there in front of my spouse and be so calm. I wouldn't even be able to touch him. I'm hoping the only reason she was acting so calm, collected and "on his side" was purely to get him to admit what he had done in order to help the victims and their families.
Was thinking the same thing. Lock your doors.
Most people lock their doors here too.
@@bleebleeblahblah I agree with you both. Not only lock your doors, but draw the curtains/close the blinds at night. Sadly, there are weirdos out there... (lock your doors during the day as well. I can't believe people don't do this)
I was an au-pair for a year, big house with a glass door to the back garden.
Now, let's see. I love hanging out twice a week with you Mike and your followers. Love the calm but respectful and light way you tell us of how to avoid being a victim. Turn your bell on. Mike is awesome in his story telling.🍀
Hey Mike! Watched this early over on your Patreon channel. Absolutely tragic for Brianna and her family. To think she traveled the world only to have her life taken at home, where she should have felt safest. I just don’t have words for what a despicable POS the monster who did this to her was. May he rot in hell when his time comes.
You took the words right out of my thoughts.
@@clementine2001 she was lost and in shock/disbelief. That's also the father of her child, how she acted was normal.
Safe at home? The States is Not a safe place, plus she was drunk and in a unlocked house, literally asking for trouble
There is no hell he could rot in. If there was a God, Brianna would still be alive and such monsters would not exist. Can you see how twisted your mind is?
