When she said “I’d rather lose the style and have moisturized hair than dry hair with a cute style” why can’t we have both 😩sometimes my 4C hair just don’t want to work with me
This is so different from the "minimal manipulation" rule I always heard in older hair videos. And your hair seems to still grow despite you handling it like every two days. Hmmm. Great video btw.
Although I am moisturizing every couple of days, I am not detangling or using anything harsh methods. The amount of hair that I lose is so minimal as well. I think low manipulation means less detangling but moisturizing is key. x
I'm still mesmerized how fast your hair has grown. You say 10 minutes I don't know about that. My hair is not as long as your hair and it takes me a almost an hour to do. I see you at almost 91G followers. Great! The Melanin leave on conditioner has been out of stock for awhile.
It gets better with time. It used to take me up to an hour to do anything and I mean anything. Now no longer than maybe 30 minutes and that is a stretch because I started washing and deep conditioning in the shower that has saved me alot of time. Plus I preepoo. Its simplier when we are trying not to force or over manipulate our hair and just let it be. Grows faster too.
Thank you for this video Jenn I feel like most youtubers tend to brush off what they do during the week. Something I struggle with during the week is keeping my hair moisturized and I thought it was only my haid that got dry in the middle of the week because no one ever talks about this so thank you. Much Love💕💕
I’ve been watching your videos and following your advice the last couple months and my hair is absolutely thriving. I used to hate my hair but seeing how healthy and amazing it looks now makes me so happy ❤️
Best thing to me, that you've decided to do in 2020. To show what is done on a daily basis is soo very helpful for me. I am 2.5yrs natural an I get frustrated because I dont kno what to do on a daily basis. My hair is tip of the ear length. Like u said I kno what to do on wash day but after tht its like.... so I THANK YOU for deciding to do this series. Thanks for the education and for keeping it real! People follow real!!
I love you so much!! I just started getting to know my hair and I cannot tell you how much I love the way you keep it real ... and hilarious!! Made the mistake of washing my short- but-not-TWA-short hair like Becky. The minute I started detangling, I thought of you. Shoulda twisted it like you said! I'm a little slow, but I learn eventually. Thank you!
LOL girl do it in sectionsssss! It honestly isn't worth it. Once my hair started to grow out, some of the twists wouldn't stay but I still did sections :)
"Don't just ignore her until you eventually wash" my Lord the best advice I've received because honestly that's me 🤦🏾♀️. Thank you so much for your transparency too! God bless ❤️
You are so right! So many wash day videos out there but no what do you do the rest of the week!?🤔 Newly Natural and Im so glad I found this video. New subscriber!
Mine is short and it takes me the same as hers. I also HAVE TO seal with heavy oil or else the moisture is useless ...soooo high porosity! And the detangling is nuts but I like ow it looks like you don’t dangle much
IKR. My hair is short...TWA but it's growing (finally.) It takes me about the same amount of time or maybe longer because when I'm working on the back of my head my arms get tired...resulting in me always being lazy and just sporting a shrunken fro.
You are beautiful and I love your accent. I’m so happy I found you. You gave me so much hope. First UA-camr I saw with my exact hair type. I purchase some pure oils products and waiting on my Imonatural products. I’m rocking much softer twist and fros now. Bye hair gels!!! I have stuck to a weekly hair routine. Hoping to train my hair to hold styles longer. I already have good length it just was not strong. The breaking and shedding has completely stop in just two weeks. I only use my hands to detangle and style now. Which has made things so much easier. #proudnaturallady
Honestly I typed in “daily routine to grow 4c hair” and all I got was people’s wash day routine 🤦🏿♀️😒 so I loved your intro. Your video is definitely needed!
Love your videos you helped me a lot 😂 didn’t know anything about hair never really care for my hair before but since I’ve been watching your videos things change 🤫
I had to subscribe because you are the proof that you CAN touch your hair during the week and it will still grow! I think the key is to just not over comb/brush your hair and try to be gentle when you style it JUST LIKE YOU DO IN THIS VIDEO 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I also subscribed because I saw another video where you say “OIL IS NOT MOISTURE”. Like DUH!
You are the best natural hair you tuber in my opinion! You always keep things simple so I don’t feel overwhelmed. I have been neglecting my hair after wash day and then it gets super itchy and flaky. Could you do a video on scalp health ? ❤️
Hi Jenn. New subscriber. Thank you so much for being so transparent. I love your videos. You have motivated me to take better care of my hair. Thank you.
You’re so beautiful! Such pretty hair, you were so unbothered cutting off a good chunk! I tried Melanin in my hair but the formula nearly broke my hair off in fact my edges are currently in the recovery position 🤦🏾♀️ it was awful but I’m glad it’s working for you 💕
Jenn Jackson my hair was so dry after I used the conditioner and cream together i was scared it would be a case of cutting off my hair and starting again but I w/ my head shape I couldn’t imagine anything good 😫What makes it worse is the cost to actually get it to the U.K. 🤦🏾♀️ such a fail 😂
Great video! Still enjoying your content even tho I'm now 6 weeks into my loc journey. You're one of the first people I started watching when I started my natural hair journey over 7 years ago.
Only thing holding my hair back is my horrible apartment water that causes matted unmanageable hair every time..but I will continue researching the videos you just posted and try nursing my hair back to health.
Very nice! In a wk-long micro/mini plaiting endeavor. I won’t be afraid of moisture because I’d love to leave them in for 2-3 weeks! Enjoyed the vid! 👏🏾👩🏾🦳
What I am wondering, since oil and water don’t mix - how useful is it to wet your hair after you have applied oil and creams with heavy butters? Theoretically, the water just sits on top. Right?
If you have applied oils and butters then go in to wash your hair on the next wash day you notice that your hair still gets wet. Thats because butters don't seal your hair completely. It may take more time to get wet but it still gets wet. Thats why she is able to remoisturize before her next wash day.
Hi ....please I just big chopped and I'm trying to find products that will work for me hair. I saw your whipped shea butter video. Do u still use that shea butter? Should I do that mixture for myself and use it as my 'B' in the LB method or just buy an already made moisturizing product? What do u suggest. Thanks
Awesome video .....you are the first that i seen detailed moisturizing/taking care of hair after wash day😍 But now for that makeup look ong🔥🔥🔥🔥 please need a tutorial❤
Thanks Jenn for this. Always with useful info. I am obsessed in taking care of my hair now😊. Question though, how do take care and moisturize when you have protective style like boxed braids?
I tend to have the most trouble with my scalp and ends. I've recently adopted a routine that has been keeping my scalp moisturized. I've heard good things about using flax seed gel on ends to seal in moisturize. I've been wanting to try it, but just haven't gotten around to it yet haha.
Jenn Jackson Oh woow. SO it’s all about planning ahead. You’re really hard working and your videos are very informative! Your lack of sleep ain’t in vain 😅💪🏾👊🏾
Lovely! You make it look so simple😊. I've been trying way too hard to keep up my moisturizing. I'm guilty of making it so difficult & stressful for myself. Now you've shown me how it really doesn't have to be 👍🏽☺. Your a God send👍🏽. Thxs 💜. Appreciate you telling us not to be afraid of water ( guilty of that too, Lol). I'll leave my shower cap off next time. What's the the approx ratio of leavin, water and oil in that re-moisturize spray? Thxs.

you’re literally the reason why i started taking care of my hair and why i’ve also done videos on my hair journey❤️
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS OH MY GOSH PLEASE MAKE MORE😍
Same!! I was NOT respecting my 4c hair.... and I stumbled across her page a couple yrs ago and I'm so happy I did!!
When she said “I’d rather lose the style and have moisturized hair than dry hair with a cute style” why can’t we have both 😩sometimes my 4C hair just don’t want to work with me
Same girl and now I want to be natural 😁
I know that's right
Finally a realistic moisturizing routine.
Glad you liked it!! We only do REAL around here :)
You’re the reason why I fell in love with my hair and thank you for making that happen ❤️🤗
Aww thank you! So happy my videos are helpful! x

Yes. Telling us how to care for our hair during the week is extremely important! Thank you for the information.
Crucial!
You are absolutely right about following a wash routine of other UA-camrs and not seeing the process afterwards. Thanks for showing us a video.
You are so welcome!
Jenn Jackson’s videos are super helpful and informative. thanks for the content!
Thank you for watching sis x

Well said daily 4c natural hair care tips are much needed. Thank you!
I’ve been watching your videos and following your advice the last couple months and my hair is absolutely thriving. I used to hate my hair but seeing how healthy and amazing it looks now makes me so happy ❤️
Thank you for the information. I am still trying to love my 4c. I starred natural in February so it's been a journey. This really helps.
You got this! It is such a beautiful journey of self discovery.
Your hair is very long! And I can’t normally go more than three days without moisturizing.
Thank you! After “trimming”, it is much shorter now 😅

I love that you kept it real Jenn! You're probably the most relatable 4c hair UA-camr I know! Lool, thank you!

Yes "how to moisturize all summer long". Looking forward to that content. Thanks.
Loooove your zenni glasses! I was eyeballing that Frame myself.
Nice video, true 4c hair and I love it
They are from eyebuydirect but I imagine zenni has simlar ones! I have ordered from both in the past x
This was very helpful. You definitely filled in the gaps after a good wash day.
Glad it was helpful!
Very informative video. Despite the trim, your hair is still long and it is also healthy. This video is much appreciated.
❤️❤️ I love steaming my hair in the shower too

not seal in moisture, keep the ends of twists and what not from tangling. Apparently the gel helps hold the coil pattern
Ah interesting. Flax seed is definitely a more gentle "gel" than the commercial ones
