I love how you mix music from Zelda, Fire Emblem, and Final Fantasy. They are my three favorite series, and I admit they have wonderful music.

That's because it isn't his health bar. I think it's his magic/special meter to show how much power he has left to use special attacks.

Not a bad idea. I like it. Not to nit-pick, but in RPGs I've played, you shouldn't get experience if the enemy runs away.
