Just got mine the other day, love it.
I have noticed the Vintage figures in general getting a little smaller. Especially the females. If you line up all three Vintage Rey figures, you can see her getting progressively shorter from The Force Awakens, to The Last Jedi, to The Rise of Skywalker. And honestly, it doesn't bother me as long as the scale remains consistent moving forward. I'm looking forward to the Axe Wolves figure to complete the set, as I already have Bo Katan and Koska Reeves. And I love all the Mandalorians that we've been getting lately. Good review!
You're right about that, those arc troopers fives were really short and C3PO were too. Maybe plastic prices are getting high?
Fun fact, the 2003 Boba Fett pit of carkoon figures jet pack flame accessory can fit into the holes on this jet packs mold. Like perfectly. So both Death Watch, the two Mauldalorians, and ol Axe here can all blast off if you have that laying around. About $20 U.S. on eBay for the figure and accessory loose.
Such a huge plus more modern star wars figures are using the old gi joe articulation style it really helps the figure obe better rather than what they did with the star wars figures from 2002
That boba fett thou, that boba Fett you used to compare is the one to beat in my opinion. What an amazing 3.75 figure

heads up targets are getting the Obi-Wan wave and anakin and mando commando. still haven't seen the Axe to go with Reeves and Billy red nuts aka migs lol

Bossk dude, axe woves' helmet is quite noticeably bigger than any other three and three-quarter in Mandalorian helmet. It looks almost comical when he's standing amongst a group of all helmeted mandalorians, you can imagine his clan name would be Egghead. But it's a good figure and it's nice to have some variety.

Fantastic figure now we have this body we need a mando 4 pack like the fleet trooper and death trooper packs. The more mando figs the better.

I'm impressed by the headsculpt, not so much by the removable helmet. I'm sure an alternate head would have looked better in this case.

I only saw koska reeves at a Walmart or target in the USA by me. Not others yet.
I just found about 15 migs Mayfelds & all Landos an hour ago 🙄

Just happened to be at Target today, saw Koska Reeves and the Bill Burr figure. No Woves of course. Checked website and still “sold out” for pre-order and no release date.
Found those and some Obi figs within last week, left Reva for you guys to pickup

I am so confused by the choice to make it a removable helmet, when this figure was revealed I automatically thought he would have the gorgeous Death Watch Mandalorian helmet, with that movable range finder and a swappable head like Bo, and Koska. That was certainly the helmet that was used in the press release pics, you can actually see the movable range finder. I’m really surprised and disappointed that they went with a (gummy) removable helmet. I know removable helmets have a decent amount of fans, but I really enjoy and prefer the swappable head/helmet idea. I think It just works better at this scale. Not a fan of the deformation that occurs on this helmet and will definitely be repainting a death watch Mandalorian helmet and using it as a swap instead of the removable helmet.

My plan for display is to add in the Death Watch and the Mandalorian Loyalist behind Bo Katan , Koska Reeves, and Axe Woves to make it look like an army. With Mando and deluxe Bobba on the sides.

Hi Tim, Yes, they’re Target’s exclusives here in the US. I received the first two ones (Reeves and Mayfel’with red elbow, I found the normal elbow at target yesterday ☝️) and waiting for this last one. Hopefully, they paid attention of the packaging this time….
Thanks for the early review Bossk! And -gotta say- I’m also one of the folks who thinks the female Mandalorian body is somewhat underscaled… I really like Bo-Katan and Koska, but the size difference did jump to my eye right away…

Yep both Axe and Koska are Target exclusives in the US (along with Mayfeld). Like you said, Koska started showing up for us this past week. No ETA on Axe yet. I think the head sculpt does look very good. Helmet seems a bit too big but not too bad. Overall looks good to me.
I definitely think the female figures are getting too small even if they are properly scaled I would like them slightly bigger

Why didn’t they just repaint the helmet from the deathwatch trooper?
I’m not sure how it happened, but I found a fresh stack of Axe Woves figures at Target and proceeded to go over them looking for the best paint job etc. Then I noticed just ONE, out of maybe 15, had what appeared to be a slightly smaller helmet with a shorter T-Visor. So after comparing it with every other Axe Woves I figured it’s either an optical illusion, or I found a an Axe Woves with a smaller more accurate helmet, and I did!
There must have been some kind of mixup in production, but as far as I can tell the helmet is not a Boba Fett helmet or a Death Watch helmet, so it was either a mistake or they corrected the large helmet thing and will be putting out Axe Woves like this from now on?

BTW Been tuning in for almost a year now, and The Mandalorian is what got me back into collecting Star Wars. I don’t know how it was for other fans, but for me it has been very stop and go with collecting Star Wars. Started around the re-release of the OT and the whole SoTE & Dash Rendar (I want a VC & BS Dash BADLY, but unlikely), stopped, got really into The Clone Wars, stopped, and then The Mandalorian brought me back lol.Anyway, you got a fantastic channel, Congratulations!

So my Axe figure arrived the other day, and have to say I’m really disappointed in the helmet. Unsure if it’s bigger again than yours.
It’s way, way too big, definitely not to scale and looks daft next to any other TVC mando figures.
The helmet looks like something from over ten years ago, and both new TVC Boba helmets fit on Axe absolutely fine, I’m baffled why they didn’t repaint the boba helmet minus the dent.
That said, the rest of the figure, especially head sculpt and paint is fantastic. Think I’ll reach out to hasbro on this one to give some feedback.

@@BossksBounty yeh!! I distinctly remember seeing a swappable helmet with a ball joint in the photos! I may try pick up a cheap boba Morak or Tatooine if any go on sale and attempt to repaint the helmet 😂
The helmet I got was really squished unfortunately.
I just watched the scene were Din meets the trio and the girls are definitely too small. Looks like Bo is about the same size as Axe. It is obvious if you look at the helmets, his looks massive next to theirs. Someone at the Hasbro office was sleeping.
My most wanted current figure! I have the rest of the wave! But Axe Woves is still almost impossible to find in SEA and UK eBay.

one thing you mentioned in the video...you should do a "figure of the year" at the end of every year, would love to see that.
I wish the Din, Bo, Koska etc. figures also had removable helmets instead of changeable heads. It's just so much work to change them and I feel like they would get pretty loose after some time.

Koska Reeves is beautiful, physically fit, and talented. I admire her character Sasha Banks on WWE. For a woman whom is a AFA 85+ (lol) her husband is a plain average looking man so that says a lot of good about her.

I have noticed that the boots are slightly different on this figure. A little bit larger and more sturdy to pose compared to the death watch figure 👍🏻

You are correct!! TARGET for those 3 in US!! Hahaha! Just picked up Migs at the actual store but ordered the Koska online!! A day after the announced released date-July 31st ,the hooks were loaded with Koska Reeves over Migs Mayfield!! Hahaha! Looking forward to getting my Axe Woves to complete the trio/set!! Glad they found a way to make the helmet removable and fit instead of the head switch method!! More realistic! Hahaha! Blessings! :)
Very nice review! If they ever do a jango Fett 🙄 they need to do what they did to Bo katan have a head swop because of Jango’s hair can’t make the helmet larger to accommodate for it. Hi has to be the right size same as bobas. Also I have to watch that episode again because those sizes look very way off lol

Excited to acquire this figure, but definitely in agreement with others concerning the helmet. It just seems like such an odd choice for hasbro to go with this and not a swappable helmet.
That head sculpt is amazing. Makes me have high standards for when they do the pipelined Endor Han Solo figure. All the Han figures in the entire line are super sub par, so in my opinion, they owe us their A game on this coming figure.
problem is the glossy paint on face. It very noticeable on black series :(

@@dk6419 this week I've had Vader, Morak BF, Migs Mayfield, and Djin Djarin morak and the Nevarro Stormtrooper and can honestly say its the best bundle I've ever had, the Morak Bf is my favorite figure possibly and the Vader is next level

Could you compare the size of Axe head and ROTJ boba's helmet? because I am planning to make a customized Axe helmet and I dont know is it fit into boba helmet..thanks!!
The Axe helmet is bigger that ROTJ Fett helmet (as this is not removeable)

Considering that sculpt is used on these two and the two loyal to Maul and the Clone Wars DW Mandalorian, it does not matter as they're all awesome and they're all similarly structured in the show anyway. Which is your favorite one?

But I am sorely annoyed that at the exact the time these "pre-orders" were being filled, I found out my bank account had been hacked, reported it, and the bank leapt into action to freeze my accounts until the matter was resolved and a new debit card issued . . . which took three freaking weeks, and resulted in my pre-order for Axe and his wave-mates (all sold out) to be cancelled while all this palaver was going on. >GRUMBLE

Do you think Bo Katan (and likely Koska Reeves) are a bit too small? I received Morak Boba this week and Bo, surrounded by the other Mandos, just looks underscaled? Great figure of course, but a little too dinky? Thoughts?

Not all helmets should be the same size, we all have different size heads you know. And men are usually for the most part bigger than women.
