When will people wake up to the fact that sampling is a crime. If the writer isn't justly compensated, then it constitutes theft. Deelite played by the rules and lawfully paid the people they sampled. I'm a musician and it's a huge problem. Musicians are being ripped off left and right and no one seems to care.
@tomthefunky I hear you on that. I think it would be interesting to work in entertainment law regarding the protection of intellectual property, just to see how commonplace uncredited sampling is. I hope that non-mainstream artists at least make enough for a comfortable living, because they are equally talented.
