i work like this every day, firs i was using meta quest 2, it was average, but i could do the work, now im using meta quest 3 with immersed and is amazing, this is the best setup, horizon workrooms work good but on immersed i have ultra wide monitor setup, no lags, crisp image high res, and you can enter on public rooms if you want, i don't have problems with the amount of time that i spend on vr on in front of a monitor, but work on VR i think is the future, and more for remote working, great video btw
Yeah, now people are in denial and complaining about weight and resolution but after couple of iterations I think it will be on it's way to mass adoption
Can any of these apps be done stand alone or do they all require a pc?

@@JeremyGibbs-t7f well it would be hard for you to work without a computer, like for example in my case, i do coding, design etc, i think you could get away with something like vscode cloud, figma since it should work on the browser, just need to plug a wirless mouse and keyboard and give it go, maybe il do that tomorrow and il let you know

@@JeremyGibbs-t7f i can confirm that you can use webapps with a wireless mouse and keyboard, for example, vscode cloud, figma etc, but for horizon workrooms, virtual desktop, immersedvr, you really needs a computer
Can you use Immersed with a computer but without a wireless network? Like if you are in a flight with out internet? Also, Can it get the computer (Mac) connected wired with the Quest 3 using an USB-C cable, for a less latency (laggy) response for audio video editing? Great video. Thanks.
Love this video. There are not enough videos about productivity in VR How would you say the resolution compared between these 3 apps? Would running fluid give you a clearer resolution, especially for reading text while coding?
thanks for ur review, i consider to buy meta quest 3s to replace my fhd monitor. Do you think its okay to replacing my monitor and using vr for the display and the system by my pc?
If u are really thinking of replacing ur monitors then go with quest 3.... Because it has better display. But if u just want to give it a try to VR for the first time then go with 3s
Very cool. How would you compare horizon workroom and immersed to what Virtual Desktop offers? The Quest 3 needs an aftermarket head strap to be comfortable. Get something like a bobovr or Kiwi quest 3 headstrap and you'd be comfortable in VR for an entire work day.
Virtual desktop is also cool but i think immersed has better features. But if u just want to browse web then fluid is also good and free. Yes I'm thinking of buying bobo headset
I have ended up with Remote Desktop because it lets me use the local browser at the same time. I have had terrible luck getting Immersed to connect successfully. I don't like that these apps depend on the Internet. I want Quest Link with keyboard passthrough, but that's Windows only and I use a Mac most of the time.
i've been using workrooms and immersed for a while. I would say workrooms is more polished, but I found immersed to be more useful since I can customize the virtual displays layout
@MysteryVirtualReality Oh I see, I thought it had released. Really looking forward to seeing your coverage once it is released. I'm hoping that it make it more available to do more types of work through VR
yes, windows and mac - it ignores Linux. Immersed is truly multiplatform, and ALSO works on Linux and Android. ... so it is the only reliable solution.
Plenty of devs only work within mac or windows. I perfer linux for dev work, but not everyone does so that means Immersed isn't the only reliable solution. For plenty of people, they literally only ever use visual studio.

@@MysteryVirtualReality I wonder how the USB-C cable connection will work. If you are at a very remote place with not network avail., just a laptop and the Quest 3, a cable connection or its own Quest 3 network will be the solution. Also a cable from the laptop will have way less lag, making possible to use with precision softwares like video and audio editing. It will be great to see a tutorial on that USB-C option available in the Immersed app. Thanks!!
The truth is that in my day to day I use both Immersed and meta horizons and I'm very happy. But as you say, in the long run the visual fatigue and the quality of the monitors makes the experience a bit heavier and you prefer a real monitor. But for specific cases or outside the home it's the best, for Netflix, Plex or movies it's top.
You should update and include that immersed gives you more screens in pro version and you can unlock the pro version for free it you use immersed 3 days in a row and maintain 3 days out of 7 where you use the app and you keep pro
@MysteryVirtualReality yep when you go to the menu inside the application select profile then you will see a option that says unlock pro with a streak then click view streak and you will see like a chart with 7 days of the week once you fill out the chart with green check marks that is part of the streak. Once you get af least 3. Reminder you must maintain at least 3 days to continue to have pro it explains in app
What about AR, on my desktop setup I already have 3 screen can I use this to have 2 or 3 more floating screens while seeing my physical screen and setup !?
I know the enjoyment in such a set up but consider the Shows create a parallel distraction that is continouos. I found that I have ringing mostly because of "something always running" , its hard to go through but after 3, 7, 21 days, focusing on one chosen process in silence is epic. This is exactly what I have in mind. what keyboard and mouse did you use for it? also, sidequest can give you sharper text in your screens would that help?
Keyboard: apple magic keyboard Mouse: Logitech MX master 3s Yes, u can tweak some settings in side quest but not sure if the improvement will be significant
I've used all of them a lot to do my real work coding for years. Workrooms is my go to app for that hands down. In fact, it is way better than before despite of having removed some (not really useful) functionality but adding a fast and easy setup.
