Whenever I am having a lazy day. I watch one of these videos, and it gets me off my butt and makes me do everything to the best of my ability. I have found these videos are wonderful for this.
It is an amazing thing to see!! We were in DC last fall and watched this! It is truly amazing and to think 24/7 someone is there! Even like you shared in the rain and got hot weather! Thank you for sharing!! ~ Brandon and Maggie
All.. keep your family close to you. And remember your comrades in arms, even though they are gone. I say a heartfelt prayer to all of you who have loved ones still serving, and to your families. Merry Christmas! and May God Bless You All.
@@FitandLeanTV Indeed. Does the UK have something like this? They should if they don’t. Russia should too even though we aren’t boys, we still have some beef with them. But they should honor their fallen just like this. I hope they do.
@@qlime2892 Just watched clips from the Kremlin Changing of the Guard. That’s quite a show! But to be honest, I think Tomb of the Unknown Soldier just looks more badass. Its all serious, inspections of the weapons, inspection of the uniform, all robotic. It’s not meant to be a celebration and all showoffy with goose stepping and horses and sword and gun spinning. But that’s cool too.

I am fascinated by the changing of the guard. Have a question though. Why did the officer not inspect the new sentinels gun in the first changing of the guard in the rain but in the second film when sunny he did thank you for posting
This is difficult for me to watch, while I am sleepy here at bedtime. That is because I would not want to feel sleepy while having to make it through a shift of sentinel duty. The concentration involved would be as difficult as driving a car while sleepy.
The first time I visited Arlington, they did it in silent mode. I assumed they always did it in silent mode and then I see every time saying that it's not common for them to do lol
I don’t even notice till it was pointed out by others watching this video. Other people have offered ideas as to why it was missed but I can’t find any reasons they would skip it when looking it up.
Why you it be done for pay if they are already getting paid for being in the military if it was done for pay more then likely a lot of ppl would do this when they finish their contract in the military
The most diligent, sistomatic, energizing, brave, best of the best, handsome sentinels on the face of the Earth! Yes lawrd thank ya for these guardian's. Pure examples of our unbeatable U.S military excellence! Dam they look GOOD! I only wish that I as a civilian could be buried here protected by America's best.
Just rewatched the video an noticed that he didn’t inspect at the first change. We watched many changes during our time in DC and I never noticed they didn’t inspect the gun the first time. I am puzzled as well now. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
@@TheVillain29 the rifle could be wet from the rain and so will be slippery even with gloves. They do do a lot of quick moves which would be dangerous.
When it rains, they do not inspect the rifle as there is a sharp bayonet at the end, and with all the flips, twists, and turns, they do not want to risk it slipping from the RCs hand and injuring the sentinel.
I love the military and I have tons of respect for these guys and how they honor these men but after I learned who one of the guards are i think they need to personal background checks. I'm pretty sure you filmed this while he was a guard too. He got my niece, who was 17 at the time, to join the Marines and they are now serving in Virginia for 3 years, a long way from any family, and as soon as they got to Virginia my niece found out he was cheating. Not "The Proud and Brave" when you see that girls mother again, and that girl has 6 aunts that are just as pissed as her mother.

Huge honor for the guards, total respect at all times.
The sounds are for those whom can not see, that the ever diligent Sentinels are still here.
The right thing to do is: inform yourself before visiting this place. stand up and be silent all the time ..... stand UP! & RESPECT!
STAY BEHIND THE GUARD RAILS and CHAINS, AT ALL TIMES, THANK YOU!
Or any of the places at Arlington

Very few understand the sacrifice needed to give everything for a country and a set of ideals that you love and believe in so much

Russia doing this better, simply and clearly. In USA it looks just as show

These guys make great robots. Great dubstep moves.
They are lock machines. Everyone does the exact same steps

Very nice drill...respect to all the military men!
They’ve changed the way the changing ceremony goes. Way less verbal commands. Still a very powerful ceremony for sure.
Hi, how do they survived all of this training in good and bad weather please.
They do short shifts
Something beautiful about this. The self control and intense perfection. You gotta have ocd to do this job lol
Much respect!
Agreed

I am not sure myself but other posters have given ideas why they didn’t. Glad you liked the video.
I am fascinated too by the fact they still wear sun glasses when it rains.
Reading these comments is fun. You guys noticed so many details that I missed.

Interesting there was no rifle inspection. Never seen that before.
I noticed the same thing.
I wonder why the corporal didn't give any commands. Maybe the heat?
When there's a funeral going on nearby, they do it in "silent mode".
There was that day. Thanks for the insight.
Commands not needed.

The sergeant skipped weapons inspection. Couldnt imagine why

They don’t perform weapons inspection when it is raining. It makes the rifle slippery.
How much does this job pay?
Done for honor not pay.
Why you it be done for pay if they are already getting paid for being in the military if it was done for pay more then likely a lot of ppl would do this when they finish their contract in the military
Think psfanboy79 was asking if the get additional pay above and beyond their basic pay because of the difficulty of mastering this job

Why wasn't the rifle inspected?
I am confused. It was inspected both times the guard changed in the video

I think they don’t do a rifle inspection in the rain this is only a guess since that’s seems to be the case in other videos where it’s raining.

Farenheit?
Yes it is Fahrenheit.
Well it’s certainly hope it’s not 100° celsius that would mean it’s 212° Fahrenheit, the temperature that water boils 😂.
Oh dear sun isn't out but the sun glasses are on.only in America.
Cause the future's so bright, I gotta wear shades
