for those who want to add a fragrance to this you can add 1-2% essential oil or fragrance oil at the very end. For best results I recommend mixing it with the AOS 40, cocamidopropyl betaine, and glyceryl oleate. Mix all of these in a separate beaker then add into phase A/B

I used an essential oil that I have, and I colored it using Saffron which is great for the skin also. I added some Kojic Dipalmitate and Transexamic powder. It looks like orange juice in a bottle. When it dries, if I rub my hand across my cheek, it felt like dead skin rolling under my fingers, but it was the dried mask. Is it supposed to do that? Thank You 🙏🏽😘🥰🌹

When you check sodium c14 16 COA, there is sodium sulfate 2-4 %.
Is this considering sulfate free??

Thank you again for such informative content. I believe glyceryl oleate is the ingredient i have been looking for. No matter how mild a surfactant is I always find it to be stripping/drying. I'll play around with it and see whether it helps in my formulations.

Yup. Any liquid anionic surfactant should work fine

You can add 1-2% fragrance or essential oil, but no carrier oils. Add the fragrance at the very end

Hey Tara or if anyone knows. can you add lightweight carrier oils ( jojoba, grapeseed) for benefits ? I know you said add fragrance last but I wanted to be sure about carrier oils.🙂💓
No, you would need a solubilizer for carrier oil. The surfactants can solubilize about 1% fragrance oil though

Yup, it would work perfectly as a base for a shampoo. I’d add some keratin and dl panthenol to it

You should combine water with surfactants then power it into phase xanthan gum+glycerin
So the gel will be better without climbing
I don’t like to do it that way because it causes to much foam and lather when mixing the glycerin/xanthan gum slurry in
