Cory, I was wondering what the ph level is of the finished product? I like to keep mine between 5-6. This is a great formula, so rich and thick without having to add gums and thickeners. Congrats on formulating it. My only concern was the ph. Thank you!
Very nice shower gel, I like how bubbly it is, where can I purchase the ingredients from. I would like to make some, but I would like purchase some of your shower gel. Thank you so much, keep up the good work.
This was an excellent video! Since it's not sulfate free, do you have any issues selling it? Many find sulfates drying to the skin. I personally don't have that issue myself. I was just wondering how people accepted it? Love those bubbles! Simple formulation, which is very rich. I love it! Jill Gross
Thank you! I actually haven’t tried selling it yet, but my shampoo bars have sulfates and they sell great! Some people are allergic or don’t like sulfates. Personally, it hasn’t been an issue for me.
Hello, I am very excited to have found this channel. It's great, it's just what I was looking for. Here I see an excellent opportunity to learn about this field of soaps. I just subscribed. Greetings from Colombia.
Thank you! Just remember, any powders you add should be water soluble so they dissolve instead of sink to the bottom. I would add these powdered ingredients to the soap while it is still warm and thin. Or add it straight to the water, dissolve them and then add the water to the surfactants, if they are not heat sensitive.
Thank you! Well done, l loved watching your presentation, yes that is so funny how it changes the soap, it looks like Amber in colour. Very beautifully
If you added in Eco-friendly glitter would is suspend itself or would the glitter sink to the bottom because there is no oil? Can this be used as a bubble bath?
Hi Emilie, the SCI cannot really be replaced with SCI or SLSA in this recipe, it does not get as thick and it leaves a cloudy looking gel. I have several other shower gels and body wash recipes however that don't call for SCI. I hope you have a chance to check those out as well.
the plant based surfactants are very mild and with the addition of glycerin it is nice. However, it is not as moisturizing as the creamy wash I showed last week because there is no oil in it it or conditioning properties like ewax or stearic acid.
Hi Cory! If I wanted to make two different scents and colors from this batch, would I simply half the percentages/ounces during the second phase only, or do I leave them as is? Thanks!
This recipe looks AMAZING😩👌 I cant wait to try this for myself 🤩💅💖 Also quick question can we infuse the water with like tea or any components before mixing it in with the surfactans?
Great video 🥰🥰, I love the consistency of the gel it looks perfect!! Question ❓ can u add any oils to this and if so how much to your recipe exact? Will the oil sit on top of the soap or will it incorporate while it's warm??
Thank you! This gel has some emulsifying properties. It holds the fragrance oil very well. If you wanted to add more oil, you would need an emulsifier or a solubilizer
It really was the perfect shower gel. I am now checking whether I can get the all the ingredients in England, if I can I will be buying you recipe to try. New to your channel so will definitely be watching more.
I got the recipe off patreon and LOVE the formula. I've already made it 6-8 times. I find that some batches separate and I'm assuming that's from the fragrance. Have you tried making it with an emulsifier like Polysorbate 80 to help with the separation? If so, what percent would you recommend?
This recipe is only available on my patreon campaign. But there is no monthly commitment unless you set it up that way. You can make a one time pledge.
So happy to watch this but could u please mention the names of the chemicals but not scientific names I am a beginner so I don't know the scientific names could u please do that for me
Thank you! These are plant based surfactants so they are very mild. The glycerin in this recipe draws moisture to the skin. If you want to add oils you need an emulsifier. My creamy body wash video takes you through that process. :)
Love your Channel was wondering if I can make this and omitt then fragrance and color, use it as a unscented base and add fragrance and color later. Thanks
Okay made my shower gel followed by the formula but once it cooled down it turned to paste. It lathers really well smells amazing, What did I do wrong? can I add distilled water to make it fluid
@@ThePajones24 Hi there, it is likely the fragrance oil you used. Fragrance oils can do funny things to your formula. You can add more water, however, I have not had much luck with that in the past. If you add more water, you will need to adjust your preservative to account for your added water.
I made some, and it smells like chemicals... is it because of the surfactants i used ( decylglucoside and coco betaine) , or am I doing something wrong. I did use the essential oils ( the store bought, doesn't)
Finally getting around to making this today! If I want to split the batch for 2 different scents and colors, would I do it at the final stage before the cool down?
yes, however, different fragrances act differently in this recipe. You should test your fragrance in a small amount of soap and see what it does over a day or so.
@@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany yes, I will test them. I was just thinking since it takes so long to make, would be quicker to make the bigger batch then split to fragra and color. Just was checking on when best time would be to so that. Thanks!
Hi there, yes, you can create a paste with the surfactants and save it to make batches when you are ready. I have been giving a lot of thought to updating this video using that method.
Hey, I just have a little question. I’ve connected to the Patreon and I’m now trying this recipe 1) I don’t have a crockpot/slow cooker so I’m doing the double boiler method 2) it is taking foreverrrrrrr to melt and it only melts to a certain extent and it’s been over 10hours and I feel like there’s no progress , because I’m doing the double boiler method I am constantly monitoring the water level and having to add water when it evaporates. Do you think I’m doing something wrong? If yes what is it?
I absolutely love this formulation. Everyone that came to my house and used it loved it!
That is awesome! I’m so glad you love it!
I love this shower gel, please can you write down ingredients for me please. Thank you!
I made this SCS Noodles + coco and compared with SCI powder + Coco. I can confirm this ( SCS Noodles + coco) is MUCHHH better in lather and texture.
Am watching from Ghana..Great work done.
I really love the beauty of gel and I'm ready to learn more from you
I’m looking forward to making this. I like this Formula
I love the fact that there was no polymer and it's still thick. Well-done
Love the crockpot technique. Thank you for sharing this video.
I can tell That’s perfectly done, the consistency reminds me of honey . I can’t wait to make this 💕

I love this so much I'd try it tomorrow but the problem here is that I don't have the measurements 😭
