Looks like this is getting recommended, so I just wanted to say hello and welcome if you are new here! This video documents some of the most impactful (and crazy) few weeks of our lives. I really hope you enjoy it and that maybe it inspires you in some way. It got recommended! Amazing idea, amazing video. Truly warms my heart watching a video like this, I'm here for the adventure too now. Best of luck from Kelowna British Columbia
I was staying in an Airbnb and there was someone staying in an RV at the same time as me and just used the kitchen and bathroom. I would have liked to have done the same but in a tent.
You are so young, so beautiful and so brave. thank you for your wonderful video, for your inspiration. Thank you to the generous Canadians who welcomed you. Let's be proud
This one was special. My throat is choked up and I am teary eyed and proud of you both. Percevered, and trusted the kindness of strangers. The scenery and wildlife was amazing as always, but its the people on the way that make it truly remarkable and restore faith in mankind. Thanks for this video! It made my day!
Thank you! It’s wonderful to hear that the video touched you, it was a hugely impactful few weeks for us and I’m so proud to be able to share the generosity we experienced
Sorry about the wait! This one took longer to edit than usual - it was a crazy few weeks and I wanted to make sure that the video did it justice. And as you all know, we are cycling right now so finding the time to edit can be tricky! (Currently posting this from the middle of the Nevada desert). If you’d like to get more recent updates check out our instagram pages @gregmccahon & @victoriacediyo (linked in the description) And also if you feel like supporting our journey, please check out the patreon! patreon.com/gregmc Thank you all for your patience and I hope you enjoy the video :)
Wow Greg & Victoria ..the extra time in the editing is noticeable, great job (they’re all great), well worth the wait. Restoring faith in humanity with this episode. Best wishes ✌️
This episode made me cry many times..such amazing videography, editing, music and of course the riding. It's so beautiful to see so many people offering you their space, even when they have a lot going on, such as Phil and his blind wife. Such an amazing video I am supporting you guys from Canada!!
As a Brit who has now called Canada home for the last 15 years I am so very proud and humbled to be a part of this great nation. Watching strangers offer you their homes to have somewhere safe and warm to sleep really helps one restore their faith in human nature in a time when we all seem so wary of strangers. Wonderful video, I found your channel yesterday and started from the beginning. Can’t wait to follow you on this epic journey. Be safe and thank you to the kind Canadian people who helped you 🇨🇦
I know for myself that if i was in a position to help such a situation for a night to travelers id want them to feel at home and rest up maybe shoot the shit over ahot meal unless they were weird .Cool video cheers from ontario
So beautiful seeing the kindness of strangers to help out people in need. Your videos have just the right vibe and mix of scenic shots, interactions with people and things you come across and the updates of where you're at. It's just brilliantly balanced and engaging all the way through consistently through all of your videos. The only problem is it makes the wait for my travels even harder! Wishing you all the best and can't wait to see more!
There's so much manufactured drama on UA-cam that just pales when compared to this. What a great adventure. Good for you for not bailing, and especially good for all of the kind people who took you in.
Your videos are getting more & more wonderful, Greg. This was the best yet! And it SO warmed our hearts to see all the caring and hospitality our fellow British Columbians offered to you both. We're proud to see such kindness from our fellow Canucks (but not surprised). We'll be heading north from Phoenix to Las Vegas, then to Reno, NV in about a week, and are hoping we might finally be lucky enough to cross paths with you, since we missed you when you were in Hope. Safe travels to you and Victoria.
Thanks guys! Much appreciated, I thought you would enjoy this one - canadian hospitality at its best. That sounds promising!! Keep an eye on the tracker and feel free to hunt us down, we would love to meet you guys. In around 1 week we’ll be in Tonopah for a couple of nights, and then heading on to death valley
@@GregMcCahon We checked the tracker and we are indeed heading toward each other. We’re near Tonopah now, and heading past Las Vegas this coming Tuesday-ish. We’ll watch the tracker and send you a DM if/when it looks like we can rendezvous. 🤞
@@GregMcCahon Just realized you meant Tonopah NV and we’re near Tonopah AZ! 😂 We’ll keep in touch. We’re planning to spend a few nights next week on Bonnie Claire dry lake bed. Very cool entrance to Death Valley.
What a pleasant surprise it was to come across your tour footage. Thank you for giving me faith in Canadians again. Its been a rough few years and we have treated each other poorly.
This has been my favourite vid so far. Those Canadians eh. I'm not surprised they were so accomadating. Bliss coffee, that made me laugh. Loving this journey you're taking us on, Greg.
Amazing humans. No clue if your path will bring you through Texas - but if it does - we would love to host y'all and make sure you set off well rested, well fed, and well equipped! Your videos are likely some of the best in the bike packing community and I thank you for encouraging adventure and human connection!

Dont know why you guys broke up but you two are incredibly amazing, your resilience, team work is top notch However,i know people decide to take different paths in life and thats okay, I'm rooting for you both whichever paths you take. This is so beautiful ❤️
Hi! I’m Canadian and have been living in Ecuador for 34 years! I clicked on your story because I was interested if the Canadians would help you, and they did! So nice to hear. I’ve lived all over British Colombia most of my life and it gets very cold,I admire the two of you. Brings lots of memories, we lived on my Dads boat for years until the town of Kitimat , B.C. started to be built. Helping others in need as you received it is an Ecuadorian culture, not a Canadian one! But glad the generosity of the Canadians worked out for you!
Great video. With all the division in the world, it's nice to be reminded that people are good. Now, to go back and start at the beginning over your adventure.
What wonderful people you met, Ryan van Duzer calls this 'trail magic'! I think on a bike you are much more approachable and vulnerable - and people sense this. Keep riding the way you want to!
How amazing!!! What a great story! A proof that humanity can still be found 🙏. Beautiful people doing beautiful things! You guys are great. Stay safe! I cannot wait for the next episode! 👏
All the people helping you along the way, all the kindness, makes me cry , a happy cry, and Phil at Spence’s Bridge, offering you his trailer, just so kind and wonderful of him. Always safe riding.Take care
What an amazing episode. The kindness of strangers is always overwhelming, especially when it is offered when least expected. I rode across Canada last summer and experienced a lot of the same. And also stayed with Nat and his family. They're wonderful.
Ah thats amazing! Must have been an incredible ride. Nat was very awesome. They had friends over at the time so we didn’t get to meet the whole family, but were so grateful that he let us stay at the bookstore, it was a very cool experience!
Canadian people showing their awesomeness quite honestly one of the finest examples of human kindness was incredibly uplifting to watch and truly changed my perspective on how to be as a human to the rest of us. Empathy is our most valuable quality it leads to kindness and generosity let’s not lose it.
Hi, I am from the other side of the world in Malaysia. Never been to the other side, but watching this really pushed my hope for humanity. There are nice people in every part of the world. We should all be thankful for that. Thank you for sharing your journey.
This is hands down my favourite series on UA-cam. You guys are both so inspirational, and the gorgeous editing makes it 100% worth the wait. Safe travels!
All the amazing people that you both met in this episode really do Canadians proud! Kindness to strangers in times of need. That's what makes this world a beautiful place! Best of luck to you both on the journey ahead!❤❤❤
Dang, such a powerful testimony to the good and generosity of other people! seems like such a crazy and scary human experiment to rely on the hospitality of others to survive! Keep up the fab storytelling! Continually love how simple and OG these vlogs are, keep it up!
This is my first video of yours I've seen - wow!! All of those people who helped you are amazing - Linda & Gary!! In fact, honestly, I could just name check all of you. What fantastic people and what stunning countryside. It's the kind of rural hospitality that you hope hasn't died - when, in fact, it is in the DNA of BC. Hugs to you folks from Scotland!!
This video is not produced in the greatest visual quality like the other bikepacking videos, but it is oozing with heartwarming stories about pure love and generosity from complete strangers (you can call them angels, I do) which is what everyone needs in this challenging times. Proof that humanity is still alive and well.
So awesome to see the kindness of the people you meet ❤ As a swede I can confirm that -19 is a temperature you don’t want to be outside for for long periods without appropriate gear. Good luck on the rest of your journey! I’ve been inspired 🙏
it's so great to see the generosity of so many people, they are canadian so it makes sense. the few weeks documented in this video seem very hard and nature has been really hard on you, but after the rain and snow comes the sun so we can hope for better days! really loved this video and im sending you the best wishes and hope you get out of the nevada desert soon!

The kindness of strangers in this world = makes me smile (for you). I've experienced the same in my bicycle travels over the decades. In a world where we seem to be constantly bombarded with bad news and people behaving badly, it's easy to loose sight of the fact that 99.99999% of people in the world are good people with kindness in their hearts, no matter their nationality, religion or means. I have experienced wonderful hospitality as a middle aged woman cycle touring alone in Europe and its wonderful to see Canadians turning it on for you guys. Well done all ❤

The great and generous soul of the Canadians + your brave heart + the splendid nature around your journey… Just wow! Love you, guys.
I've watched millions of UA-cam videos & I'd have to say this is by far the best one! Shows me that there are still good ppl in this world ❤
In a world where we seem to be constantly bombarded with bad news and people behaving badly, it's easy to loose sight of the fact that 99.99999% of people in the world are good people with kindness in their hearts, no matter their nationality, religion or means. I have experienced wonderful hospitality as a middle aged woman cycle touring alone in Europe and its wonderful to see Canadians turning it on for you guys. Well done all ❤
crazy kids, glad they made out ok on their adventure. i wish my Canadian cousins were that nice to each other!
I love this series and your journey, so inspiring and beautiful.

Very Iohan inspired with all the animals! It is so nice to see all the people paying you kindness on the road. Hope things are warmer for you as you get south.
really shows the friendliness of the people knowing foreigners who need to spend the night on a freeze night
Both of you have such positive and determined attitudes. Such an inspiration! Safe travels
Wow! I don't even know what to say. I had to watch it twice just to make sure I was seeing what I was seeing. You both are tough, resilient, resourceful, and just downright amazing. That was incredible. And you both appeared to be so calm about it all. You told the story very well. I sat here and just shook my head at times. And you should be very proud of this video. I have to say, when Victoria made her announcement to continue on to Argentina, I got a little watery-eyed myself. Congratulations to both of you on this particular part of your journey.
Oh, Tumbleweed Motel, that was pretty awesome! Oh, the bear spray, that didn't shoot very far! I was a surprised! Stay safe! (and warm!) ... Ciao
Thanks so much Steve, I really appreciate all the kind words! Looking back on it I think the same thing, I can’t believe we really made it through all that! Haha. Thanks so much for your continued support
@@GregMcCahon You are very welcome! I meant to mention in my original post, the help, support, and generosity you and Victoria received has restored some faith in the human race and there are good people out there willing to help others .... Please stay safe! ... Ciao
