tells you not to care about six in the game maybe if six was taken maybe there is a secret ending where you allow six to go with thin man/ adult mono and not try to save her.
I think that when mono was caught by six at the end of the game, he wasn't wearing his mask witch revealed to six that he was the thin man. after seeing his face, and recognizing him as the thin man, six thought that dropping him and killing him would stop him from becoming the thin man but instead it just caused the cycle to repeat.
also i think because six saw monos powers and how he could glitch into the tv like thin man did. thus why six was trying to pull him out to prevent him from reaching himself, or in fear something bad would happen.
It's also important to notice that there are several clocks in little nightmares 2. As you progress, the time shown on each clock suggests that time actually moves backwards. A clock in the school shows around seven minutes to six, while a clock in the hospital shows around 13 minutes to six
It also makes sense because as Mono “defeats” the thin man with his powers, you can see the thin man holding up his hand telling mono to stop, trying to stop the paradox ther before it keeps going.
Mono also holds his hand up in that fashion when battling. It doesn’t seem like a stop gesture to me. It’s jus the same way super people hold their palms out to use their powers...?
@@humbleservant7797 The thinman you see in the mid section from the game IS mono, thinman was trying to stop the paradox or blatantly got some sick revenge on six for screwing shit up but either way mono eventually saves six causing her to betray him making mono lonely and stuck down in the tower, he has no other choice but to become thinman
She drops him because she sees his face, for all of the game mono hides his face. But he takes it off when fighting the thin man, so when she catches him she finally recognises him as the thin man. The one who kidnapped her.
Also the fact that the hunter captured six before the events of little nightmares 2 gives a possibly unintentional reasoning to the hunter not even attempting to shoot her at all during the boss fight. This could also support the idea that the hunter wants a form of company in him being alone, which can also be supported by the fake people at the dinner table.
Six: The First Time I dropped some boy, I think his name was Moony or something and doomed the whole world. The Second Time I was really hangry, and sausage wouldn’t suffice.
Learning the whole story has made me love this series even more. Out of all the games I've played in 2021, Little Nightmares 2 impressed me the most. I really hope they make a LN3, even though the developers said the story is done.
Plot Twist! In LN3 Thin Mono comes back and end six then and there and says... Mono: "You took every thing from me..." Six: "I don't even know you." Mono: "You will..."
I’d have to disagree on Six’s reason for dropping Mono. It’s shown throughout the game that Six is a sadist. When Mono encounters her in her monstrous form, she still demonstrates a trust of him and even shares her music box with him. When Mono destroys the music box, it visibly causes her great distress and maybe even harm. Then she glares at him when she stands up again, even showing a menacing stance just before the Signal Tower shows it’s true form. This means Six drops him, not because she can sense some dark power or because she can see his face now as some commenters suggest (that makes no sense, as you can show her Mono’s face multiple times throughout the game), but because he hurt her and she received a chance for quick revenge. Something she also is shown to have a penchant for (when she crushes the head of the first bully you encounter after you free her in the school).
she also breaks the fingers of the manequins, so yes I do agree with you she is fucked up. You also don't help her when she gets captured and she extends her hand to you
also when we defeat the hospital guy by throwing him in that furnace, six was seen to be taking in the warmth coming out of the furnace like a sadist 😭
When I played the game I thought she dropped him after seeing his face because now she connected that face to someone who caused her a lot of pain and broke her trust and so maybe she wouldn’t have as much hatred in that moment if he had his bag to put back on
@@morfigasoulslayerthere's quite literally nothing that Mono could do in that situation at the time. He tries to save Six right then and there, both of them get murked.
ikr i felt so empty and sad for him hopefully if little nightmare 3 happens we see him fix everything saves six but doesnt stay with her cause he wont be trusting her no more neither would i.
I think the reason why Six let Mono fall because he, in her mind, betrayed her by destroying her music box even though it was to save her. Because, when we first see Six in her monstrous state and call to her she presents the music box too Mono as if to show or share it with him. She only gets violent after he tried to smash it. Also, if you look at the way Six slowly gets up and stares at Mono after finally destroying the music box, her body language seems hostile to me. Because to her, that was a safe place, that was her comfort and he took it from her.
I also thought that, I mean she's evil obviously but I could also tell she had some good in her. After Mono destroyed the thing she cherished she was definitely not going to be in the right head space
It think you may be right, also, I think Six may also BE the tower, explaining why she's taking such care of herself, bringing back all memories to soothe her pain, even if it's in the future, it's the tower's doing, that safe place along with the music box, who would EVER think it was Adult Mono's doing to force the tower to do that, even AFTER he's dead? Also, like said in the video, her name is written on the door that formed when the tower captured Mono. She may have been trying to showcase it to Mono "Look at what the tower gave me!" while all he see, is the difformation, wich he accuse the tower of doing to her, but it was the signal... it was HIM... and he destroyed that too
I think she dropped him due to the fact his paper bag was off and she could see his face. This meant she had to drop him to end his life because she recognized he was the Tall Man.
I’ve had this theory for a while and it was that all the enemies (ie. The Teacher, Hunter, Doctor, Patients, Thin Man and Bullies) all know the outcome and what’s going to happen (especially Thin Man) and that’s why they attack Mono, to stop the loop from happening and stop the signal tower all together.
@@ianmcfadden2794 true, i think the ony survivrs are the wheelchairman, the butler, the teacher, and the chefs, there also seems to be multiple janitors from the first game but its hard to tell but at least 1 died which is the one she was chased by
As much as I loved the theory, I find really weird to think that the Pretender might be the next in line for the title of the Maw's ruler. I mean, would the Lady really designate a successor? She's obsessed by keeping her eternal youth. Wouldn't choosing a heir feel like, admitting she's going to die eventually? It doesn't sound like something she'd do to me. Still, amazing video, I love how it all went from a cannibalistic kid to convoluted time paradox stuff.
It would be cool if LN3 main protagonist is the Pretender. The story would be that she drifted to the Maw and ends up becoming the Lady, which happens at the same time as the LN2 timeline. So during LN1, Six consumes the Lady/Pretender.
It's probably more complex where the pretender isn't directly next in line but is a placeholder unbeknownst to the lady since she's in the nest living her best life. Pretender probably doesn't know and when told would be so arrogant and obsessed about being the lady. Also she plays with the doll same as the lady which could also be a paradox...
Theory: Six’s name comes from the 6th deadly sin, which is gluttony, considering how she always had a serious hunger issue in the original game, from eating normal food to the little gnomes and then the lady, and I think the passengers on the Maw back this theory up because of how they eat not stop and are really really fat Another thing I forgot to mention which puts the nail in the coffin is that the game was originally going to be called “Hunger” before the developers went with “Little Nightmares” EDIT PLEASE READ: I AM NOT GOING BY THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS ORDER. I AM BASING OFF THE ORDER FROM DANTES INFERNO. A READING TALKING ABOUT THE SINS IN THE THREE CIRCLES OF HELL. IN DANTES INFERNO, GLUTTONS ARE PUNISHED IN “CANTON VI” WHICH IS ANOTHER WAY OF SAYING GLUTTONY IS THE SIXTH PART.
@@elijahpelito4722 really? I kind of guessed it when I heard that Monos name (meaning one) is in reference to the first deadly sin which is pride so I thought the same must’ve been done with Six
Six could also mean she is the sixth version of that same girl. I don't know. Because mono is still going to go through the cycle while six is in the maw. Meaning there should be someone in her place
If that's so and mono means one how was he prideful since pride is the first deadly sin? Is it because when he's the thin/tall man he thinks he can break the loop?
So technically the Thin Man isn’t evil, he’s just trying to break the cycle of eternal darkness and torment the The Tower is controlling, in turn stopping The Tower and it’s damage on the realities
Fr the main villain here is six She gon messed up everything 6 times She dropped mono for nearly no reason (literally just cause she's frighten) And now a walking time bomb
The person in the sketches on the far right could be Mono? Hence why their face was covered? That would still make sense with the timeline and falling animation looks a lot more similar to that moment.
there is this theory in the little nightmares {1} thin mono hang himself so he can escape time loop. there is this scene in little nightmares {1} when u see a tall guy already hanged himself and u use the chair to get out of the room.
No, six trusted mono but at the point where she was about to let go of him, she got to get a look of his face and then she realized that mono was thin man, she knew that he was destined to be thin man and she couldn’t take him along with her, so she also was holding him longer after she realized to collect a bit of his powers to escape for herself.
@@nylahodja5460 I think that Six, in that moment, hated Mono. They did build a friendship and Six did care for Mono, until he invaded her safe space (as the monster) and broke her music box (her comfort). Her angry feelings stayed while she returned to her small, normal self. We’ve seen that Six can be sadistic and loves to get revenge, so Six wanting to see Mono’s face as he realizes she’s going to drop him is not too unbelievable. TheGamingBeaver on UA-cam explains it much better, if you wanted to check out his recent theory video :)
Another theory on Six's name is that the Sixth deadly sin is gluttony meaning she was named after the gluttonous creatures she encounters and eventually becomes. Take this theory with a grain of salt though I just thought it was interesting so I shared it. Also this timeline makes so much sense, great theory's!
@@sandythedaydreamer9402 Haven't thought of that, the first deadly sin is Envy, not sure if it relates to Mono's personality or not but it's interesting for sure.
I like the little detail when mono opens the thin man's door. There's a blue light(representing sadness) shining through but as the door opens more the light begins to turn more pink to show that the thin man realizes that he's been set free.
I noticed that too! Also, I don’t think the thin man wanted to hurt mono but to keep him away from six that’s why he always went for six and not mono (always tried to take her away and not mono) because he knew that in the future six would become evil (she ate the geisha lady and took her powers) and turning six into her nightmare (monster) was a way to warn Mono to stay away. Also, six lost her soul in the tower but still managed to regain consciousness that’s why she let him go rather than eat him later on after her stomach started to growl OR since mono’s hat was no longer with him, six saw his true self (thin man) and decided to let him go since the previous thin man was the one who locked her up in the tower.
@@anabel5205 six is the lady of ln1 ,six eats herself at the end and the loop continues like in ln2 six betrays mono and mono accepts his faith and becomes thin mam
@@anabel5205 i think she was always evil the theory i got isnt mine but theres so many times in little nightmares 2 where sasha did odd things like. She actually was the reason they shot the first enemy. She was messing with a kids fingers rather than killing them. She was warming her hands up when they killed the fat dude and when she was beating that bully up it seemed like she enjoyed it...the entire time sasha was the villain..she used mono to get where she wanted to go. I dont think it has anything to do with her seeing him after SHE BETRAYED HIM! Shes definitely evil
my own theory on why six drops mono is a bit different, though i can’t say whether it’s more or less correct. from a psychological standpoint, six may have become attached to her prison in the hunters house in a way, finding comfort in the music box. when mono frees her, he takes away her home and her comfort, even if it’s with good intentions. he then takes her on a miserable journey that results in near death multiple times and exposure to the world, which her prison hid her from. the only reason she doesn’t go back is because there’s nothing left to go back to. finally, she’s taken by the thin man, further reinforcing the idea that leaving her home was a mistake. during the signal tower part of the story, maybe the tower reflected what she desired, or was a kind of metaphor. she got back everything she lost and was content to stay. then mono barges into her home again, destroys it again, and takes away her comfort again. he’s almost like the villain of her story, trying to drag her back out into a world she wants no part of. to that end, why should she save someone who’s only brought her misery? i’m not saying this makes complete logical sense, but emotions, especially tainted with severe mental illness which i’m certain six has, don’t always make sense to begin with. to six, mono took away everything she had, even if her home and coping methods weren’t healthy, and to someone already as fragile and traumatized as six might be, to her he might appear as the monster the tower portrayed her as, and perhaps from her perspective the monstrous one wasn’t her but rather mono. i don’t know, but either way that’s what i think.
I actually have LN2 but I watched a playthrough instead of playing it myself because I'm gonna get more heartbreak and pain than redeeming adorable and sweet moments so I can't invest much emotionally into a game that's gonna leave me in shambles
@@ahmadalaama7217 yea true but everyone has limits on how much emotion they can handle. I usually like to experience the games myself but yea for this game i just couldnt lol
Sorry to burst your bubble, but you can literally put any word with "Mono" and make a connection to the game. For example: monogamy = married to one person I could make a connection like: OMG MONO'S GOING TO GET MARRIED TO SIX 🤯🤯🤯
@@spoom1261 I can definitely see that as like a game theory. But in the game itself it has showed how Mono had gained his friendship with Six and eventually, throughout gameplay, Six had betrayed him so he became Thin Man. As well as lonely because he is stuck in the same loop over and over. Where the tower traps its victims in their fears like we saw how Six was trapped there as well. I'm only pointing out what is related to the game, not making up dumb theories.
@@JustChillin_n_snacking The theory itself isn't dumb, in fact it's a interesting theory in my opinion. The thing that bothers me is the reasoning, it's on the same level of the Ness is Sans game theory video.
Also Mono was alone before he met Six, So why didn't the tower feed off his fear before? I think it's more reasonable to say Six's betrayal caused the tower to have control over Mono and even that's a little far fetched.
Another 4 years later.... TwT I hope we get a new dlc tho because the gnome’s attic was just only chasing a gnome and getting a hat I mean I thought it was cute but I want to see more like maybe a kid from the comics
Actually there is word that the companies that made little nightmares one and two are separating because one is more focused on creating a new IP than expanding upon the little nightmares universe, granted it isn’t confirmation that it will happen or even if it does happen there will be no more little nightmares installments but I would definitely take in consideration, and if we were to get anything if this is true than we would most likely be getting a separate dlc story like in the first game rather than a whole new game, and with the companies separation than if they were to make another game it would probably take quite awhile for them to find another company to partner with or do it by themselves
You know, now that LN II is out, there is an interesting link between The Lady and Six: both of them are very fond of music boxes. Remember, in DLC, we knew that The Lady has a music box of her own, and listening to it (seems to) calm her down. And this is the same with Six. She likes the music box very much, and it "calms" her down, too.
I have the idea that Six is going trough something similar to Mono. She finds and kills her future self, and you, there's some pretty good evidence that the Lady is Future Six. She broke all(most) mirrors in the Maw, she transforms kids into Nomes so they are powerless, she kidnaps children to try edentify her past self (yeah, I know she also uses them as meat, butif the only porpose is to use them as meat, why are they treated quite well?) and when she's defeated, she doesn't fight back she knows this is her fate. Also notice how most end bosses have a rather normal aspect (I know that's a strech, and I also knoe the Lady has a face reveal in the DLC, however she has two models, one with her "real face" and the other were she's normal, perhaps only her reflection is distorted?) and supernatural habilities, and six has the hability to absorb the things she consumes/touches.
There's something I want to point out I haven't seen a single youtuber cover. With Six letting go of Mono, people assume it's because she's lost her trust in Mono, or sees the thin man in him. Yet, here's the thing. In the scene where the thin man takes Six from under the table, you see the shadow of Six left behind. I believe this shadow is Six's soul. After loosing her soul, her mind and body were under the control of the radio tower. Since Mono killed the thin man of current, the radio tower needed a new thin man. Six, being under the control of the tower, let go of Mono well aware of the consequences. Six wasn't supposed to be turned normal after becoming her twisted self. So after becoming normal, Mono set himself up for his own demise.
I mean ofc if six got control by towner she would let go because without him being the host the signal towner wouldn't be a thing so yes what you say is very possible
was thinking the same thing! +shadow six looks acts more kid like and more as a guide when mono gets hurt after the train crash where as physical six is very cold after the events of 2 like she's lost her soul.
@@connorkenway5452 I wouldn't say that. We're all aware that Six in LN2 is dark, cold and near emotionless. However she does see Mono as a friend considering what he's done. She breaks fingers off the doctors dolls and warms up to the doctors burning body. She's definitely dark naturally, but she has a sense of friendship with Mono. Then the Thin Man abducted her. I also believe that The Lady was a thin man before the thin man. I don't have much proof on this since it's a thought I had when writing this comment but I'll definitely do some research.
Another way to explain six's drawings would be that the tower whispered to her about future events with the connection mentioned in this video... To me that makes sense since it would be in the towers best interest to plant the seed of betrayal early so that the paradox can continue.
@@jylgeekd2498 Is he tho? He got locked in and only made it appear normal as far as we know... whether he control it completely or partially or only as far as he can see or not at all is unknown to us. But yeah I have no clue either only made a comment based on what has been provided. It could be like Swamp Sneaker comment said: that those scribbles were not made by six at all but instead someone else...
Theory that six becomes The Lady: The Lady's powers are seemly she sucks the life out of people to keep herself young. At the end of LNs Six eats the lady to gain her powers and then sucks the life out off the people on the Maw to satisfy her hunger, but this won't satisfy Six's hunger forever and since the Maw attracts so many guests its a perfect place to satisfy that hunger again. So six will continue to run the Maw attracting people to come to the Maw to eat and fatten them up just so Six can suck out their life force to satisfy her hunger forever and ever, and overtime Six will keep growing up until she become the Lady herself running the Maw just like Mono becoming the Thin Man. Its also backed up that once someone comes on the Maw they never leave (probably because they died to six and their bodies disposed). Since, the world is like a time loop Six will come back to kill the Lady( aka herself) and start the cycle all over again.
So we know the whole story and the loop. I think they will make one more game to break the time loop and fix the world or start another time loop which caused the present time loop. Idk but I really want the series to continue
I think by the time they made Very Little Nightmares they DID intend to make Six just grab the raincoat and be taken to the Maw, but as LN2 script was being squeezed in the middle, some one said: "hey, how about we make a scene where she grabs the raincoat for the first time and players go 'aaaah'?", so the whole raincoat whereabout got a bit messed up.
People assumes that she gets it in the end of VLN but it was never showed. It could just have ended up on the shores of the pale city and someone picked it up and left it in the city for some reason for what we know.
1. She dropped mono bc she was hungry she'd rather he fall then she eats himm2. The runaway kid gave her a sausage as a nome (she maybe couldn't have recognised him) the sausage was made out of human so she saw it as a taunt eating him
@@toffee_todd I don't know if that hunger thing is valid. Since she got hit with the hunger after the fact that she dropped mono. And that hunger never hit her at any point in little nightmares two until after six escaped the tv the last time
Six spent two games getting rescued by others. It's in the first that she's really on her own for the first time, save for the one child who threw her bread.
I think that the one child that threw the bread for Six is actually the Runaway Kid. They look the same for me and the same nome which the Kid was turned into offered the sausage for Six just like the child offered the bread earlier
I think six wanted to go to the maw. In the comics shes roaming the city and the ferryman finds her saying something like “ you look for the shadows but the shadows find you” i think she was trying to hide from mono. And the reason ppl looked normal during that time is cause it happened while mono was growing up, cause we see tvs and the thin man on the maw as well.
@@humbleservant7797 I suggest to watch gaming beavers little nightmares theory. Based on that I would say that Six lost her soul being trapped in the signal tower and her shadow looking soul said her to go to the Maw and take the Lady's soul because Six and the Lady have something in common. But I suggest to watch the video because imo thats the best and the most interesting theory I have seen so far.
@@henrikirjavainen114 i saw it, but what we call “six shadow” isnt as straight forward as we thought it was in the first game. Why did it appear to us on the train and lead the way ? Theory: when mono tries to defeat thin man, thin man sticks his hand out to try and tell him to stop and listen to him. But mono doesn't yet know that and kills him, this causes the loop to repeat once again
ok i think my theory is almost make sense okay the developers confirmed little nightmares 2 is a sequel to little nightmares 1 the timeline supposed to be like this Very Little Nightmares->Little Nightmares comic->Little Nightmares in my theory in the comics the Fairy Man took Six to the Maw and in the end Six supposed to be the next Lady but then time paradox happened which disturbed everything... then timeline got distrupted Very Little Nightmares->TIME PARADOX->Little Nightmares 2 the LN2 is like what happened after Very Little Nightmares but the hunter caught her,i think the hunter should not exist in Six's origins,Six was supposed to get to the city and meet the Fairy Man but the hunter existed. But you can see that the hunter sack has a hole cause he got shot by Mono and Six using the shotgun but they didnt do it yet this proven its the time paradox cause this. Also the teacher neck is long cause she struggled in the vent but it didnt happen yet till Mono and Six using the vent and we can saw ashes at the doctor boss fight but he didnt get burned yet all because the time paradox. I saw a person said that the hunter, teacher and the doctor are six's friends in the comics so the Signal Tower make them become monsters. And at the Six boss fight we can see the bag from LN1 so this does prove that it already happened. And at the end the signal tower recreates itself causing the time loop that you cant go between the past and the future and stucked in the middle. At the secret ending Six soul got splitted and this might be another sequel and not the prequel cause the Fairy Man is not there so it might be a chance to move further....
I believe that that, even after betrayal, thin man couldn't bring himself to end six and the reason for his defeat was that the tower wanted him to lose.
I've got a theory of what Six's story really is: -The Tower corrupted much of the globe as thoroughly as it could. But there were few who tried to stay as isolated from the network as possible, trying to build their own versions of order, away from the tower. But due to have been already touched by the corruption, even their forms of order are delusional twisted. One such family is the Nest family. Their deformity was that they lost their souls, fractured into tiny glitched pieces, so they appear mostly normal, were it not for the fact their appearances were grotesque enough to refuse to appear in the photos. Another is the Lady, whose deformity was endless hunger in order to reverse her weakness and physical condition. These three had an arrangement in order to maintain the Maw working and keep themselves isolated from the main land. The patriarch and matriarch had two children, twin girls, more beautiful than them, yet souless as well. However, what made these two children special, was that one girl had the power to externalize her void, making people disappear in thin air. The other girl on the other hand needed to keep eating something that was or is alive, getting more powerful and beautiful with each victim she consumed. The latter is named number 6, as she's supposed to be the new Lady, as the current one seems to be getting more unhinged and sadistic with the guests she invites in order to get more money to maintain her establishment. The former becomes incredibly jealous of her sister, painting herself, to be even more beautiful than Six, ripping her sister's face off from a photo, and then ends their mother, as she planned to have more children. She then took control of the house's insane doll maker and the weary Butler by physically disabling the most threatening parts of their bodies, and ordered them to build that phantasy world of hers filled with dolls made from the children her mother intended to adopt and did everything she could to make it seem like she was an only daughter. Because of these events, Six stopped wearing anything that might have her look like her sister, and started to use her powers to find ways to attract children passing by her home in the hopes one of them could help her take her sister down. Eventually she succeeds. However, having grown fond of her latest victim, after her departure from the realm of the living thanks to the Pretender, she takes on her coat both to pay tribute and to hide herself from the world. After these events she goes to the mainland in order to destroy the Tower for being the reason her family was ruined, only to lose her beloved coat and be caught by the Hunter, who wished to let her body give up naturally in order to stuff her as his new daughter. And after the events of this game, in which she and Mono unknowingly find the glitched pieces of her soul, and her betrayal, as her hunger finally began to take hold of her, she was instructed by her shadow/soul (who either couldn't or refused to return to her body) to go to the Maw, where she should have gone to in the first place, in order to feast and become all powerful. And she did just that. However, because of the time distortion, she actually went to a past version of the Maw before the events in the second game. She made her way to the fortress, where she found her father's hanging corpse and what her family had been truly financing. They had been financing a mad narcissistic creature whose goal was to destroy the bodies of beautiful children and trap their souls in beings know as Nomes, under the excuse of protecting them from the Tower's corrupting broadcast, using the bodies to fatten the guests and then turn them into tomorrow's menu. A sadistic cycle to behold no doubt about it. As Six finally defeats the Lady, the guests and satisfies her hunger, she leaves, but her fate in this cycle becomes unclear. What I do believe, is that time in the Nest and the Maw works differently as well, since it is located far away from the Tower's tentacular reach. So she probably remains there in order to become the new Lady, going mad from her regret in leaving Mono behind, unable to see her reflection not out of vanity, but out of guilt, thus restarting the cycle, and this time try to capture her younger self earlier in order to keep her away from Mono and punish her past self. Only to fail, leading her younger self to go into the Pale city and continue the loop, now returning to a point in which her future self is already the Lady and she must defeat again in order to regain the powers the Tower stole from her. And that is where we know no more. She either decides to stay and continue the cycle. Or she leaves to try and fix her mistakes.
He also said since it maybe has been 6 times that has happened (time loop) maybe the previous "six" added more information each time.....just a thought
The depressing thing is that this is the end of the official storyline of little nightmares, Tarsier Studios have decided to move on from Little Nightmares completely, even though the latest game was a huge hit. Unless there will be fanfictions or another company picks the storyline back up, it is unlikely that the game will make a third... :(
To be fair I think people are clamouring for logical storylines in what was a conceptual theme based on nightmares. In short people seem to be missing the point and looking for follow ups to go in a direction the makers never intended. So if they really are looking to move on I can understand why.
@@OriginalRAB hmm.. however I cannot seem to understand why such a popular game is being abbandoned by the developers. Little Nightmares III seemed so necessary, and it looked like it was going to happen. Well, it's not like i am going to play any of the games, just watch some youtuber's reaction 😐

The Darkest part in my mind is Mono at the last scene before it closes he has a twisted smile on his face almost like he finally realized the truth...the cycle...his plan!
Mono can only be one, he’s always been one, he doesn’t loop like six does, six has multiple incarnations by this point, only pulling from select memories manipulated by the broadcast for her torment, but the broadcast almost has no power over mono so instead of corrupting his body and soul, it preys on his mind, makes him seethe for revenge and tries to never let him go.
Well here is a small theory: Mono, as you said, means One. And obviously, Six, another number. So maybe there is more of them, but they are already corrupted by the radio tower, and that explains the mannequins in the 'second' game? Which now they are out to get Six and Mono and corrupt them as well to get the rest of the 'numbers'.
Perhaps Six became the Lady, as suggested, later turning into the granny and then becoming more and more disfigured until she becomes the Signal Tower. She would then use Mono’s abilities to use the televisions in the Pale City to feed from the life force of its residents.
@@TeCeeBoi She left the maw and went to an island with a light house, I do think that if we get a third game we might see the origin of the maw, maybe six takes it for herself after getting rid of the previous owner.
So basically he never turned evil, the tower just used his powers to doom the world. He still has the same innocent and pure heart as always. Time paradox's cannot be broken, that is why its called a time loop.
Well not exactly, a time loop can be broken at some point of someone realizes what is going on. One person has to have déjà vu in order to figure it out. A perfect example of a time loop like this in the movie “DOCTOR STRANGE”
I wouldn't necessarily assume that Mono remains *completely* innocent/pure after becoming the Thin Man. He sat alone in a single chair for a very long time with nothing to do but absorb the signal tower's influence and think about the betrayal that put him there.
Tower messed with his head, he was betrayed by six which messed him up and was trapped in a nasty looking room on a chair for years so I'm sure he's not innocent or pure hearted anymore he's very jaded and heartbroken plus angry. Six could have easily stopped the loop by not dropping mono in the first place so he wouldn't become thin man. Just saying in many shows and movies if someone has insight into the loop they could break it or delay it or change it even just slightly change it. So it's not impossible just hard to do if nobody knows it's happening. Six knew.
yk the game "we become what we behold"??? i think a game similar to that style would be really cool to explain why the people are all so distorted and why mono, six, and the girl in the yellow raincoat managed to stay the same. the only other "children" were porcelain
you could also say it's called little nightmares because they all become a little nightmare. 6 gains the painted ladies powers, feeding on souls, Mono becomes the tall man and is the cause of all the rest of the horror of the games, and the little boy in the DSLR of the first game becomes a nome, which yes isn't that much of a nightmare but still. And if you look at the comics there are mentions of other little kids that bring havoc to places. The first one coming to mind being the young boy that is "chased" by this wind monster, when in reality he is making the wind because of his powers. And this wind nearly destroyed his home. And if his story were to be continued I bet that he would have some monster form that causes him to accidentally destroy things with the wind. Just an idea.
You really think Thin Mono would one day think ‘well if I’m still doing this then this plan clearly didn’t work last time, maybe I should try something else this time.’
i thought that too! i really wish there was some hint to that in the game, like a NG+ where the thin man has just minutely different movements or AI or something tiny, so that it would tie in with the fact that it's just one big loop for him
As Six's shadow version helped guide Mono to the tower for the timeline repeat, I am guessing that the shadow version is doing the same to Six. So less of a lost soul and more of a force instructing Six where to go to help her, when in fact the shadow wants the cycle to continue instead.
Her soul is probably being controlled by the broadcast, telling her exactly what to do to continue the loop, then she kills the lady, becomes the new lady of the loops and then another six comes and eats her.
If my theory is true, Shadow Six could have been chosen to go to the Maw as Six was involved in The Pretender's death. For all we know Six is plan F instead of plan A for the cycle. Which means each cycle is not a full repeat and the planned chain of events could be broken in Little Nightmares 3.
this but also it could be her soul still but distorted by the signal tower, its a personification of her greed and willingness to sacrifice others at all costs even her own sanity, Shadow six can not exist without the cycle continuing so she's willing to play six into the signal towers hands so she can continue existing, instead of having six's best interest at mind. She seems to be the main catalyst and a big thing these games seem to have a lot of is butterfly effects and cycles so who started it? who is birthing/creating the children that start ad perpetuates the cycles that turn themselves into monsters?
This is why I need to continue watching these videos. They're always so brilliantly done and they make sense of every single detail that seems to fly over people's heads. I can't wait for the 3rd game.
Ok its all begins in Very Little Nightmares and its about the girl in the raincoat who come to the Mansion using an air balloon and we dont know her origins some theory said she is the daughter of the lady you can see pictures of a girl with long hair
Finally someone who I can relate in terms of timeline. I'm new to the game, played several times making connections and looking at details and so on; Your explanation is exactly what I feel, though of course you took noticed of very precise details I didn't, but as far as timeline, yes I am with you that. Still there are other bizarre things that keep bothering me; What/who exactly are the porcelain kids, or what they represent? What happened exactly at the pale city. This people looked so corrupted and hypnotized, their homes were even neglected, at some point of view we notice that, were the children neglected too, I think. Don't really think comics are specifically tied to the games buy still it was very peculiar, when the kids in front of the bonfire say what has she seen? And it looks like Sixs has pretty traumatic experiences with the people; Apart from that she state that sometimes the light makes you see things you don't want, so you escape to dark or so... Such a well made explanation...
Maybe the bullys represent "airheads" wich practically mean dumb but there dumb bc the signal tower controls them and so they cannot exactly think for themselves. Maybe the teacher is training the students into following all of the signal tower's orders and punishes them if they don't?
@@lanoface6049 That teacher was hella creepy. Once I saw her It transported me back to my childhood fears, like teachers have eyes at the back of their heads and can even smell you. I used to get bit with a big ruler like that...
It would be amazing if Mono could escape form his fate and prison without the help of the past himself and see how he breaks his cycle and six's by stopping her from turning into the Lady or confronting her in the next game.
@@rayankhan2796 how exactly. Everything in the game is so far fetched i could see it happening. I personally feel like six needs to die for her selfish deeds and everything worng that shes done. It would make for a reasonable ending.
I'm hoping this will happen if there is a dlc but since the 3 endings for every game is a bad ending probably something else will happen that will keep the loop going
Wouldn’t it be cool if you played as the thin man in little nightmares 3 and your goal is to find a way to break the cycle? I mean, yeah playing as a tall dude with godlike powers would take away some of the horror aspects, but wouldn’t it be cool?
I think it would be so awesome! I'm honestly rooting for mono/thinman to find a way to break the cycle. I really hope if a third game is made that it brings resolution to the cycle and to thinman, and six.
Maybe the Thin man will be chased by Six, now looking a bit more like the Lady because of her powers, thinking she can stop him not knowing what he is doing.
Six is a hex. In Greek, "hex" is the number six. As in hexagram, a six pointed star. Hex is also a word for a witch or a curse. In the original game, Six becomes the witch by absorbing the powers of "The Lady".
Even though I wish Six did "the thing" because she sensed the power in mono, I think she just slowly turned evil through her experiences and with the towers signal. Examples include the revenge agaisnt the one bully, breaking the mannequin fingers, warming by the fire of the doctor burning alive. She was slowly turning before going into the tower.
I believe six was evil all along and the thin man was not trying to hurt mono but to save him and keep him away from six. That’s why he always tried to take six away and not mono
If Shadow/Glitch Six is indeed a part of her she "lost", it was probably the final straw for her giving in to the Tower. ...at least I hope so, 'cause if Six did "the thing" without being influenced then... ouch.
i feel like everyone’s saying that six could just “sense” monos powers, i’m pretty sure we see her become weary during the tv cut scenes, when she pulls him out each time, she seems very cautious of him, she might have seen something while trying to save him, or the fact that he’s going through tvs is scary enough for her
Yeah, every time Six helped Mono up from a fall, I felt the inclination for her to let go. She seemed kind of hesitant to befriend him throughout the series to me.
@@jordan3135 Yeah, mono was lonely and wanted a friend, Six, on the other hand, was more of a loner kind of kid, I had that feeling too when I watched some of their interactions again and again.
I have an interesting theory: Six is fated to become the signal tower because he says that after six kills the lady and loses her soul and goes on to become a monster that drains the life out of everyone, that sounds too familiar. Then she goes on to become the signal tower itself and this is where everything started. She needed something to bring the bodies back to her so she manipulated her younger self into dropping mono and releasing him to her. She traps mono and loses him again and again in a never ending cycle.
Omg i was thinking all this time that how did the tormented tower came into play in the first place? Like there were no hints given about tower. So your theory is absolutely correct. The tower is six itself. The most corrupted form of life. Damn. This game isn't just a game dude.
When six was captured, you could see her glitching remain. what's left of a child isn't the child, but an empty husk. this is also why six isn't hungry in little nightmares 2, because its a prequel to little nightmares 1. she's trying to fill the emptiness in her.
I believe in Mono, breaking the paradox and escaping the "Thin Mono" form, he didn't intend to be a bad guy in the first place, and a friend is always a friend, so he HAS to save Six
@@patrickalcabasa9702 Sadly (and luckly) Mono can't retain his memories everytime he's reborn, so yes the "next" mono has to do the saving. But it's on Six to save him in the ending to end the paradox.
@@Kdrartic Yeah, I think if someone is the one who should save Mono, then it must be Six. It only fair, I don't think Mono could move on if he can't let go of his hatred for Six. Maybe, if they made the third game, that new character could be the one who salvages Mono's and Six's relationship. In conclusion, we need a third wheel to make the happy ending.
idk man if my friend dropped me to my death after giving me false hope right after I also saved them I would probably do anything in my power to get my revenge, not save them
I present a little theory: each of the tallies may be telling a loop, there are 5 tallys next to Mono and when we open the door of the room where Thin Man is located, it there write 6, so we enter the 6th loop,Mono opened the Thin Man's door for the 6th time.
and also, I thinks it's VLN or LN1 where it shows a picture of ladies of the moor that have existed. there are 5 in the picture including the lady in LN1, suggesting six is the sixth lady of the moor
fun fact: while fighting The Lady as Six in the first game, it actually takes shining the mirror at her 6 times to defeat her? another fun fact: in the final boss fight against 6 in Little Nightmares 2, it takes Mono 5 hits to finally break the music box thing. *thanks to the ending I assume its like Mono minus Six for her betraying him (6 - 1)*
Theory: Six is actually the lady at the beginning of a loop, corrupted by the broadcast to see herself becoming a monster just as she had years ago in the tower.
I feel crushed for both of them. I’ve seen life at its worst and what it can do to people. It’s hard to be mad at Six in the same way that many of you are.
I don't know about the theory towards the end, kinda felt like he was making up stuff, be honest did you see a number 6 in the door🤔 and I feel like the lady is six but older, kinda like mono and the thin man, not the pretender
The lesson to take from little nightmares is never trust little girls in yellow raincoats because they'll either eat you, steal your identity, or take your powers and abandon you in places hp lovecraft would dream about
This is the best UA-cam channel I have ever stumbled across. Thanks for all your hard work. when you create you make the world a better place by simply making the viewer enjoy themselves for that brief moment. So yeah it's nice when someone's hard work and effort shows.
I just thought of something what if Six lifted up Mono, but then immediately he pushes Six away to her doom, it could be an alternate timeline that Six was aware of which could explain why she dropped Mono. But then there's also another alternate timeline where they both leave the tower together and whatever bad event happens because only one should've escaped.
Then why would he have done all of that tbh. He had the powers. She isnt a forseer either so, doesnt make too much sense. Shes jusy evil. There is now rhyme or rythm to it. She just is.
honestly i disagree if you look closely you can see that six absorbs mono's power to go through the static which shows that she cares about herself before others.
@@lazieone3806 she’s not evil, she just doesn’t have her soul at the moment and she’s running on self preservation. Mono could be dangerous, better take his power and run. tells you not to care about six in the game maybe if six was taken maybe there is a secret ending where you allow six to go with thin man/ adult mono and not try to save her.
In little nightmares 3 you are going to have to be alone
I think that when mono was caught by six at the end of the game, he wasn't wearing
his mask witch revealed to six that he was the thin man. after seeing his face, and recognizing him as the thin man,
six thought that dropping him and killing him would stop him from becoming the thin
man but instead it just caused the cycle to repeat.
That explains why it seemed like she was deciding wether to drop him or not
also i think because six saw monos powers and how he could glitch into the tv like thin man did. thus why six was trying to pull him out to prevent him from reaching himself, or in fear something bad would happen.
That would make sense the way she pauses for a second and then quickly recoils her hand in shock or fear.
I’m gonna stick with this theory because I don’t want to believe six would just kill off mono like that
That does make sense
It's also important to notice that there are several clocks in little nightmares 2. As you progress, the time shown on each clock suggests that time actually moves backwards. A clock in the school shows around seven minutes to six, while a clock in the hospital shows around 13 minutes to six
Of all the numbers time could be running backwards from... it's six? That seems interesting. 🤔

Doesn’t he realize that the easiest solution is to just not capture 6?
She drops him because she sees his face, for all of the game mono hides his face. But he takes it off when fighting the thin man, so when she catches him she finally recognises him as the thin man. The one who kidnapped her.

Woah intresting
she also breaks the fingers of the manequins, so yes I do agree with you she is fucked up.

After Mono destroyed the thing she cherished she was definitely not going to be in the right head space
yeah she i though she looked ready to fight mono when she got up, but then they had to start running.
She may have been trying to showcase it to Mono "Look at what the tower gave me!" while all he see, is the difformation, wich he accuse the tower of doing to her, but it was the signal... it was HIM... and he destroyed that too
That’s what I thought I didn’t wanna destroy her precious music box 🥺
I think she dropped him due to the fact his paper bag was off and she could see his face. This meant she had to drop him to end his life because she recognized he was the Tall Man.
I’ve had this theory for a while and it was that all the enemies (ie. The Teacher, Hunter, Doctor, Patients, Thin Man and Bullies) all know the outcome and what’s going to happen (especially Thin Man) and that’s why they attack Mono, to stop the loop from happening and stop the signal tower all together.
Only issue with that is if they kill mono before he kills thin man then nothing changes

Another theory on Six's name is that the Sixth deadly sin is gluttony meaning she was named after the gluttonous creatures she encounters and eventually becomes.
Take this theory with a grain of salt though I just thought it was interesting so I shared it.

Holy😨 I never thought of that...

That's exactly how I think things go. There are so much stuff to back this up
mono was actually really cute and him and six were such an adorable duo i’m so sad that six did that to him 😭

Monophobia = fear of being alone
The tower feeds off of fear and Mono's fear is being alone. That makes so much sense ! 🤯
Sorry to burst your bubble, but you can literally put any word with "Mono" and make a connection to the game.
For example: monogamy = married to one person
I could make a connection like: OMG MONO'S GOING TO GET MARRIED TO SIX 🤯🤯🤯
@@spoom1261 I can definitely see that as like a game theory. But in the game itself it has showed how Mono had gained his friendship with Six and eventually, throughout gameplay, Six had betrayed him so he became Thin Man. "a years"?
Yesn't
do you mean fourth?
Mono's full name is Monophobia, which is the fear of being alone. This makes it rather ironic that he spends most of his life alone.

So the shadow six is good?
I mean ofc if six got control by towner she would let go because without him being the host the signal towner wouldn't be a thing so yes what you say is very possible
That makes sense...
was thinking the same thing!
This game left us with more questions than answers.
For real
Another way to explain six's drawings would be that the tower whispered to her about future events with the connection mentioned in this video... To me that makes sense since it would be in the towers best interest to plant the seed of betrayal early so that the paradox can continue.
I personally like this alot more.

Yeah that's the reason I'm still a bit confused
It's not hard to understand
I think by the time they made Very Little Nightmares they DID intend to make Six just grab the raincoat and be taken to the Maw, but as LN2 script was being squeezed in the middle, some one said: "hey, how about we make a scene where she grabs the raincoat for the first time and players go 'aaaah'?", so the whole raincoat whereabout got a bit messed up.
People assumes that she gets it in the end of VLN but it was never showed. It could just have ended up on the shores of the pale city and someone picked it up and left it in the city for some reason for what we know.
I realized why thin man tried to kill mono because he was trying to break the cycle but in the end he kept failing
Mono: I am friendly
Six: Ok
Later, dropped Mono in the tower
Runaway Kid: I am in your team
Six: Ok
Later, ate the Kid
I’m starting to see a pattern..
Helping six is a death wish... dang
I swear Six better not betray another kid who helps her
@@humbleservant7797 I suggest to watch gaming beavers little nightmares theory. then timeline got distrupted
Very Little Nightmares->TIME PARADOX->Little Nightmares 2
the LN2 is like what happened after Very Little Nightmares but the hunter caught her,i think the hunter should not exist in Six's origins,Six was supposed to get to the city and meet the Fairy Man but the hunter existed. I think that the thin man actually _wants_ Mono to become him, as he was corrupted. If he wanted to stop the cycle, he could’ve just killed Six.
I believe that that, even after betrayal, thin man couldn't bring himself to end six and the reason for his defeat was that the tower wanted him to lose.
or he was trying to kill her but mono is always behind her
Or Six is immortal. The Hunter didn’t take any prisoners except for her, and he shoots Mono, not Six.
Did he not try to do that though but his younger self always got the better of him which therefore always led to Six’s betrayal?
I think if he do that i think mono's hatred will overcome h making him the thin man.
I've got a theory of what Six's story really is:
-The Tower corrupted much of the globe as thoroughly as it could.
Interesting but there isn’t much evidence to back this up
@@milesvalenzuela211 no, but there are some implications. Strong ones at that.

SuperHorrorBro, This is fantastic! I subscribed because I love it!
So basically he never turned evil, the tower just used his powers to doom the world. He still has the same innocent and pure heart as always.
Time paradox's cannot be broken, that is why its called a time loop.
I only understood this because I watched doctor who lol
Well not exactly, a time loop can be broken at some point of someone realizes what is going on. One person has to have déjà vu in order to figure it out. A perfect example of a time loop like this in the movie “DOCTOR STRANGE”
@NoEbody Best way to put it lmao
Six knew.
I really wish that the Little Nightmares team make a game where they explain if the world has always been this fucked up
yk the game "we become what we behold"??? i think a game similar to that style would be really cool to explain why the people are all so distorted and why mono, six, and the girl in the yellow raincoat managed to stay the same. the only other "children" were porcelain

they get stuck in their own worst nightmares :(
@@rhysee_arts mono is stuck alone in the tower for eternity and six is doomed to be evil
Why do I feel bad for virtual children :"(
Six did had her happy ending
you could also say it's called little nightmares because they all become a little nightmare.
You really think Thin Mono would one day think ‘well if I’m still doing this then this plan clearly didn’t work last time, maybe I should try something else this time.’
i thought that too! i really wish there was some hint to that in the game, like a NG+ where the thin man has just minutely different movements or AI or something tiny, so that it would tie in with the fact that it's just one big loop for him
Well everything happened differently but ended the same she still got capture by thin man
maybe he is the hanged man from the first game

As Six's shadow version helped guide Mono to the tower for the timeline repeat, I am guessing that the shadow version is doing the same to Six. So less of a lost soul and more of a force instructing Six where to go to help her, when in fact the shadow wants the cycle to continue instead.
agree
YES

I'm hoping this will happen if there is a dlc but since the 3 endings for every game is a bad ending probably something else will happen that will keep the loop going
Wouldn’t it be cool if you played as the thin man in little nightmares 3 and your goal is to find a way to break the cycle? I mean, yeah playing as a tall dude with godlike powers would take away some of the horror aspects, but wouldn’t it be cool?
omg your'e riGHT ACK
I think it would be so awesome! I'm honestly rooting for mono/thinman to find a way to break the cycle. I really hope if a third game is made that it brings resolution to the cycle and to thinman, and six.
''Tall nightmares''
@@blackjohny117 You mean "Very tall nightmares" ..?
Maybe the Thin man will be chased by Six, now looking a bit more like the Lady because of her powers, thinking she can stop him not knowing what he is doing.
Six is a hex. In Greek, "hex" is the number six. As in hexagram, a six pointed star.
Hex is also a word for a witch or a curse. In the original game, Six becomes the witch by absorbing the powers of "The Lady".
This is really good, and it make a lot of sense.
Six in Greek means the number 6
No.
six is also the corresponding number of the sin of gluttony! coincidence... or is it?
Huh
Meanwhile, The Runaway Kid:
...y'all I'll just run around with my gnomies
Even though I wish Six did "the thing" because she sensed the power in mono, I think she just slowly turned evil through her experiences and with the towers signal.
Examples include the revenge agaisnt the one bully, breaking the mannequin fingers, warming by the fire of the doctor burning alive. She was slowly turning before going into the tower.
I believe six was evil all along and the thin man was not trying to hurt mono but to save him and keep him away from six. That’s why he always tried to take six away and not mono
@@anabel5205 or probably six sence her hunger already thus the reason of trowing mono in the tower to save mono

If Shadow/Glitch Six is indeed a part of her she "lost", it was probably the final straw for her giving in to the Tower.
...at least I hope so, 'cause if Six did "the thing" without being influenced then... ouch.
i feel like everyone’s saying that six could just “sense” monos powers, i’m pretty sure we see her become weary during the tv cut scenes, when she pulls him out each time, she seems very cautious of him, she might have seen something while trying to save him, or the fact that he’s going through tvs is scary enough for her
Six is the lady and mono is the thin man
@@Blizz06 six is not the lady
@@Deevious. she is I think
Thank you I thought I was the only one thinking that
ewwww this story just gets worse and worse
in an interesting way, but still!
Omg i was thinking all this time that how did the tormented tower came into play in the first place? Like there were no hints given about tower. So your theory is absolutely correct. The tower is six itself. The most corrupted form of life.
Damn. This game isn't just a game dude.
who needs a video when you got this lol
@@angelicasysnila5476 what a depressing story. 10/10 would recommend tho lmaooo
But mono will already transition to Thin Man, can he break through that, or the "next" mono will have to do the saving?
@@patrickalcabasa9702 Sadly (and luckly) Mono can't retain his memories everytime he's reborn, so yes the "next" mono has to do the saving. But it's on Six to save him in the ending to end the paradox.
@@Kdrartic but what if Thin Man retained the memories and end up helping the next mono? Btw thanks for your theory

I just thought of something
what if Six lifted up Mono, but then immediately he pushes Six away to her doom, it could be an alternate timeline that Six was aware of which could explain why she dropped Mono.
Mono risked his life for her. Your comment does not justify sixs act

@@lazieone3806 she’s not evil, she just doesn’t have her soul at the moment and she’s running on self preservation. Mono could be dangerous, better take his power and run.
