    On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
    If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

    Yes, the offset two circle. That's how I get splashed in dogfight every time. I'm aware what it does, how to create, but not how to avoid or fix it. I can do nothing against when I try to rate, or make my reverse too soon when I go for one circle.
    It's all about reading the cues, still that's the most difficult thing in dogfight, or maybe almost every sorts of fight in general lol.

    Mig-29 aged extremely well compared to other soviet models, it can still go toe to toe with its NATO counterparts and remains a viable alternative for most post-soviet arsenals. It was really amazing seeing it during airshows in Germany as it flew next to western aircraft. Sad to see that there will be no further modernization of this fighter and NATO countries sending them off to Ukraine, at least they will finish their life in a blaze of glory in the skies and not scrapped in some dusty hangar.

    It's called misaligned turn circles ie matc(time in video -18.27). As you were defensive(los aft bandit behind 3/9 line) in the 2c fight with the viper your were trying to increase the aspect back to 180 degrees(ie high aspect) you can increase the aspect in various ways-lo and hi yoyo's being one option, you could also time an extension ie the reverse of a tcx(turn circle extension) or you could take the fight vertical using radial G and timing to force the fight back to 180 degrees as mentioned earlier. If flying with a savvy bandit however, he can utilise tcx's with lead turns or go for an energy excursion to take the shot preserving over the top airspeed and the subsequent overshoot-ie rolling scissor.

    remember, just because we see you doing things, doesnt mean we learn the things. thats why i really like this kind of video, where you talk about what youre doing to make the situation better.
    personally as a pilot who often flubs my advantage, its great to get videos on how to fight into disadvantaged scenarios. one of my biggest issues is finding out what to do when plan a doesnt work out.
    i personally think in gunfights; one circle fighters are generally very unforgiving, being that your win condition revolves around hitting a high aspect shot, and the fight gets worse and worse every second it drags on. do you agree with this idea? or is it much more even to you, who actually is good at dogfighting.

    Seems like you really need to have a fast(LOTS of thrust/power) plane to make offset-2c work. So the SU-27, M29, F15, etc. It would be interesting to see this same video with planes that aren't suited to it as well to see directly how well it robs the advantage from the usually dominant F16
    Maybe the F35, or a heavy Flanker variant. Harrier??

    I would think climbing and diving to establish the offset 2 circle would bleed speed which would allow the viper to rip around the circle faster??
    Amazing info thanks for explaining 🤙

    • @KingMen1Force
      @KingMen1Force Рік тому +2

      That's why speed management is essential here. But since you lose speed when climbing you can regain it on the way down.

    • @TealJosh
      @TealJosh Рік тому

      @@KingMen1Force Speed management is super hard here, because you need to tighten down your turn while going down.

    • @KingMen1Force
      @KingMen1Force Рік тому

      @@TealJosh Not as hard as you think. You basically release the stick a bit on your way up and tighten it on your way down but not enough to bleed speed for it.
      Thing is you can also create an offset 2 circle horizontally without the need to climb by applying the same principle, although a bit more dangerous.

    It would be interesting to see a series of dog fights from the less-advantageous fight for the plane. Like exclusively one circles with the F-16 or two circles with the F-18, to understand why and how a plane could win in a fight it is less suited for.

      Hey man I talk about what in more detail at the 20min mark in the video but generally speaking if he just copies what I do, when I go up he goes up when I come down he comes down, he would effectively be offsetting the circle back on top of mine and therefore keeping it overlapping while he out rates me.

    It seems like the MIG29 circles were just much smaller than the f16 and that's why it's been beaten. It's strange to see because usually you expect the f16 to have the smaller circle. I would have liked to see an example of the start of this video where you just fight them in the two circle and get out rated. I've been watching all your videos so I know the previous videos this relates too but it would have been cool none the less.
    Anyway, love your work GS. Watch all your videos start to finish every time. Keep em coming :)
