I’m taking my daughter on horizon for the week of her 4th birthday in a month. I showed her the Dr.Seuss part of this video and she was very excited. Now she really wants to go now🤣🤣
Horizon was our first cruise. I was shocked by the lack of included food on the boat. I thought there would be more choices as well as simple snacks. Chips, pretzels and popcorn are a cheap snack and would probably deter guests from eating so much hot food. Everyone told me be ready to eat I ate three meals a day and then pizza late night after the casino which now they are closing that earl as well. We love the boat, but we know what to expect going forward and will bring snacks for our room.
The last time we were on the horizon was 2021 during the pandemic so we only cruised with around 1200 guests, so no line at all haha 😂 I remember on the Vista though it was very hit or miss. Sometimes you could get on right away and other times it would take 10 minutes. We try to use the stairs as much as possible.
Going on the horizon this Sunday I can’t wait. I’ve been on the carnival freedom and it’s was fun but horizon looks better. I know there’s always things we won’t like about boats but other than that I’m super exited !
This will be my 3rd trip on a carnival cruise, I too have been on freedom and also elation. I’m one who is actually scared of elevators and to have a glass elevator caused a freak out but the view was cool.
The thing I dislike about the Horizon atrium more so than the elevators not being there is the raised platform for the music...it completely disconnects the musicians from the audience. As far as restaurants on the Horizon there's simply no match for JiJi's...it's a wonderful dinning experience and the complete opposite of the F 555 restaurant which was really really bad. The Alchemy Bar is definitely a favorite for an evening drink just like on every other Carnival ship 🍹🍸
We returned last week from a 8 night cruise on the Carnival Horizon. It was ok, doesn’t compare to RC at all. The sea was extremely tough. You could tell the drunks from others as they were walking straight LOL Entertainment beside Tim the comedian and JL the entertainment direct was not good. Disembarking was nothing shy of total chaos. People were chair hogs getting up as early as 3:45am to save lounge chairs. We met some nice people. Took the shore excursion to Catalina Island which was nice but it got us back late and the ship was blowing its horn All the ports were beautiful. Loved all of them ❤ One nan had F***the police on and was so intoxicated he had his shorts to his knees, no one did anything about it. We don’t be cruising Carnival again.
We did the Mardi Gras 3 times. We definitely missed the atrium but Grand Central was nice to have especially with a toddler. I would love a ship with both Grand Central and an actually lobby/atrium.
@@funnelheads I agree. We’ve been on Mardi Gras 3 times, Celebration once(and again in September). We love the XL Class. We will be on Horizon September 2024, for our first time on Vista Class.
Iv just been on, I absolutely loved everything about the Horizon. My first cruise though…. Went for New Years🥳

I agree with the atrium thing. I miss the glass elevators going up and down. That was so beautiful.

Doing the ABC cruise in March 2025 on the Horizon, have you done Aruba, Bonaire, or Curacao? Any tips on things to do?
I just got off the HORIZON ❗🥹 I WENT TO THE ABC ISLANDS. JUST KNOW THAT IT IS HOTT AS HELL OUT THERE and THE BEACHES ARE AMAZING/BEAUTIFUL ❗🫶❗

How were the waits for the elevators? Alot of people just love to hold up all the elevators for photo ops and gab sessions.

You will have a blast, a lot more amenities then the freedom. There is good and bad with every ship but I’m sure you will love it!

We upgraded to the Havana cabana suite and i'm soooooo excited!!!! We are booked for Nov 5-11 and I hope there wont be alot of kids.
Havana cabins are the best! You we go wings to have so much fun and no kids are allowed in Havana area:

There wasn’t much on the Horizon I was too crazy about but the jogging track was okay . The food nearly everywhere was an abomination though.

If you really like the Atrium you wont like XL Class.
