More difficult of course because you were carrying us along with the camera!
I love your attitude! You definitely motivate me to go for a run every time you upload a video! ❤️
Thanks! That makes me very happy to hear 😊
Its so nice to find a genuine channel with a a person that is so enthusiastic about running :D Compared to a lot of other channels, I love how you do "step by step" commentating on every move! After every video I just feel like running with you...!
Very glad to hear you like my videos Johan 😊
Another great video! You always motivate me to get outside on the trails.
Thanks Konstantin, that makes me very happy to hear! 😀
What a great challenge and video! I really enjoyed it, thank you for posting!
Thanks, glad to hear you liked it 😀
Great content. Love your enthusiasm for the outdoors and pushing your limits. Keep it up!
Thanks Christopher 😊
Awesome as normal, I was cheering you on 🥳 enjoy a safe drive 💛
Thanks 😊
'It's going to be tough to try to walk down this 42 % now', starts to run downhill ;D love your videos man, great work!
Haha, it was actually even more difficult to walk down then to run 😅 Thanks 😊
Love all your videos and for being a such small youtuber you have great quality! The work you put in to your videos is amazing!✨
Thanks Selina! Makes me very happy to hear 😊
@Göran Winblad , I don't think you are a small UA-camr. You are almost hitting 100,000 subscribers. Congratulations on your channel being very close to hit a new great milestone. Your content is great. 👍🙃 Keep it up!
Krystal from Texas USA.
That's a crazy hill! So steep! Well done!
Thanks Chad!
Looked brutal!
That was fun. Thanks, Goran.
Thanks, glad you liked it 😊
Nice effort Göran!
Thanks Julian!
Hey, nice video shots & great pumped music in "start section"! Greetings from Slovakia (almost-daily-hobby-runner here, love running usually after sunset/night running with lamps, just for joy & health, no competitions :-p )
Hey! Thanks glad you liked it 😊
we have a hill where i live similar to this called 'chest pain hill' when you get to the summit it connects to a lovely little trail called 'cougar bait'.
Wow, well done! I was also quite impressed by running this thing downhill^^
Thanks 😊
aw man without holding the camera you would've hit 5th place or even better. very inspiring to watch :)
I wish there were trails like that in Singapore! Love living vicariously through your videos. Thank you! Hope you'll break the record one day.
Thanks 😊
Was in Singapore 2018 and running was the last thing i thought of, walking short distances in the city had me dying, jesus christ it was HOT! 😅
@@mxlex9991 😂 yes, most of us here are kinda used to running under 30ºC heat. I bring a bottle even for a short 5K run. I hope you tried climbing Bukit Timah hill though!
@@MMerbird13 Damn i would be scared to run a 5k in 30c. Perfect weather for me is 14c xD
Love a hill segment but that was insane! 💪🏻 Also with Strava you never know how genuine all the records are so you might have been the fastest 🙂
Haha yep it was! I'm pretty sure they are genuine since it's to steep to go up that hill biking or any other way than on your feet 😊
Your expression at 0:10 just radiates: "Why do I keep doing these things?" 😂
Haha 😅
Outstanding work, as usual Goran. I have really picked up my running due to your inspirations, and cool running adventures!....However, I have been one of your followers on Strava, and noticed you had not posted anything up there in about 5 days?!....hope all is well......Matt --- Raleigh NC, USA
Thanks, that makes me really happy to hear 😊 Ok yeah I just didn’t synch my watch for some days. Still running everyday 😀
What a great video!!! Niceeeeee
Thanks!
Congratulations 😃sure with a bit more hill training you’ll accomplish this Wall💪💪💪👏👏👏
Thanks! 😊
42 % or degrees? I didn’t think there was steeps there. Another awesome video.
Göran you are what we swedes like to say a "kul prick" - very inspiring!!
Tack antar jag 😅 Kul att du blir inspirerad av det 😁
In Scotland that means something very different! 😂
great job Göran. i know such a wall around i should go and try myself 😅
Thanks! Yeah you should definitely try it out a great workout for sure 😀
Hi. I hope to run this hill someday. I like your cinematography. It makes me feel honored to be a trail runner!
Thanks 😊
Wow. Brutal and insane. I would crawl up that hill...As always, great filming, editing and running. Some people say that Chocken in Idre fjäll is even steeper 😀 Btw!! Would love to see the film about the Fjäll marathon
Thanks Petter! Yeah I was told chocken is a bit steeper so this is actually the second steepest ski run in Sweden 😊. Ok cool it's uploaded here if you want to check it out: ua-cam.com/video/YewMwG09qzU/v-deo.html
@@goranwinblad inspiring film. I will definitely sign up for the Baghera Fjäll Marathon 2022. 👏
Such an inspiring challenge! Thanks for the content. Maybe next time try to climb up that wall without holding the camera pole, and using instead a pair of Nordic Walking poles for upper body propulsion. You'll surely improve your time! Greetings from Italy :)
Thanks for the idea!
Wow that looks just like an equally steep ski run here in the US I sometimes hike up for training when I go to Mt Rainier and theCascades! The scenery even looks like the exact same place its crazy ha! The backside of the ski run here I had to climb on all 4 to get up it the grade was so steep!
Ok cool to hear there are similar looking places in the US. Yeah it for sure is a tough workout going up these things.
@@goranwinblad yes for sure great workouts especially for strength building! I love the mountains. Wish I had a ski run to train on here in Idaho. Maybe someday I'll move to the Cascades near Seattle, WA. Lots of mountains, climbs and trail running!
5:57 WELL DONE you are SO inspirational! I wonder would it help to have warmer leggings on to avoid stiffness and cramps: I had to change to warmer already at 10°C to avoid stiffness in my knees. 🤔 But anyway Now I want to try it too! There is a sledding hill near to me which I have had my eye on, let's see do I have the stamina to concur it. You really lead with example 👍❤️
Thanks! Ok cool good luck with your hill attempt then 😀
I went down that hill before learning how to carve, was interesting :)
Haha yeah that sounds challenging 😅
I can definitly ru....., maybe walk up that hill with a couple of breaks😁. Good work out!
Looked so tough! Kinda wanna try it as well😂
Yeah it was but super fun as well!
hahaha- Skönt att de inte har den i orginalet på 21 & 42 km =P Kul att träffa dig lite snabbt där i Sälen =)
Haha ja det är nog bra 😊 Detsamma!
awesome country to live in very beautiful also!
Very nice video and impressive filming. One would think that you had a large production team at the spot if it was not possible to see that you had a stick in your hand :)
Thanks Kjell makes me very happy to hear! 😊
Insane.
Cool 💪, i need to try it out too asap !
Good luck!
@@goranwinblad Takk 🤞
Yep, this is definately something different from being good at running on the flat. I wonder if people that are primarily cyclists have an advantage on uphill runs like this ... or maybe even people that have been doing crossfit. I bet you need a whole lot of muscle, and a type of endurance muscle as well. There is a run in Oslo called "Oslos bratteste". Its 2700 meters long and 407 meters elevation gain, which adds up to 15 % average grade. I bet that run makes the heartpump go, haha!
Yeah it is for sure a different thing than flat running. These kind of uphills races are often won by people that are light weight so not big muscles. And of course you get good at what you train at so those who are uphill specialists train a lot of uphills.
Awesome attempt, well done! Just found your channel and love your attitude, approach, and thought process to running and life in general. Cheers!
Also, what waist pack/belt you are using?
Thanks and welcome to the channel 😊 It's a Kalenji phone belt.
@@goranwinblad Thank you, much appreciated! :)
Great effort, does taking the camera stick slow you down on these types of efforts? Great camera work
Thanks! Yeah a bit I think.
Thanks for another great video. Which 360 camera do you use for you running shots?
Glad you liked it Lucas! I use the original Insta 360 One X
Damn that's one hell off a wall. We also have a local Strava segment called the wall. It's 230 meters with about 10% elevation...
Haha yep it is 😅 Ok sounds a bit easier on the legs but I guess it's still tough running all out up that one!
@@goranwinblad It's a very different type of segment. The course record is only 35s. I can't imagine what running a 43% hill all out must feel like, especially one that's 400 meters long. But in Belgium we don't have those kind of hills :(
Nice work once again, Göran. What is your record in Stolzekleiven opp? Just crossed my mind when watching this wall video. Btw. Have you had any time for orienteering? At least you didn't run in Jukolan viesti this year.
Thanks 😊 My record up Stoltzen is 9.32 from back in 2015 the last time I ran it. Yeah I run quite much orienteering, no Jukola this year due to travel restrictions/quarantine rules here in Norway. But hopefully next year 😀
Vore kul att se dig fräsa uppför backhoppningsbacken här i Falun😁. Men det kanske du har gjort redan?
Ja hade varit kul att pröva har familj i Falun så kanske får bli det nästa gång jag hälsar på där 😊
Impressive to run holding the camera. What pole are you using for your 360 camera in this video?
I'm using the standard pole for the Insta 360 One X.
👌 wow
I wish there were some nice trails around here, unfortunately i live in the flattest country (probably)
Göran, great attempt, but how about a drone that will follow you , so you have hands free to run faster?
Thanks, yeah that would be awesome my current drones active track doesn't work well enough for that but maybe I should invest in a better follow drone in the future 😊
@@goranwinblad Would love to see that 😀 would give an extra dimension to your videos.
46% grade wow. Great content as always.
Thanks 😊
Which app do you use
Strava
Basically every third street in Trondheim lol :D
Haha 😅
How do you motivate yourself?
The feeling of pushing my limits and beeing done after doing my absolute best motivates me for things like this 😊
Bra video!
Wouldnt poles be perfect for this?
Yep I for sure think poles would have helped!
None: …
Göran: open fly and pick up his phone.
Haha actually a waist belt but I see how it looked now 😂
why not wear a chest mounted go pro instead of running your form with a selfie stick?
I think the grade was even 47% = tan(arcsin(176/410)). Any way, the effort was superhuman :-)
Its percent grade not angle.
The angle of the hill might be 47 degrees but the grade is 43%.
You accend 43 meters for every 100 meters you travel so the formula is grade = elevation/distance.
43% = 176/410
actually dont mind me you are right.
Grade is meassured with horizontal rise over flat distance. 410 meters is the distance traveled but not the flat distance.
The route rises 176 meters and travels 370 meters flat which is 176/370 = 47.5%
Yeah it seems like you are right, I just took the numbers from the Strava segment page 😅
Good effort. But the selfie stick would have slowed you down quite a bit for sure.
Thanks! Yeah you are probably right.
I couldn't figure out why he was pretending to hold a glass of water while running 😂
Took me a minute to realize he was holding a go pro stick lolol
Haha 😅
So is it 43 degrees or 43%?
Hi! As I say in the video it's an average grade of 43%.
43degrees would be rock climbing route
@@goranwinblad So it is approximately 20 degrees. It doesn't seem to be much but I'm sure it's not easy, I need to try it.
@@banka990 It says 43% at Strava, but the ski slope itself is marketed as 45 degrees, and is also compared to other similar slopes which are around 45 degrees.
@@Drezed 45degrees has one to one climbing ratio which would be 410m horizontal to 410m vertical, that's not skiing route.
North Side of K2 climbs 3300m vertical at 3100m horizontal distance as about 50degrees and every human error cause fatal accident over there.
Good video but "Chocken" in Idre is the steepest ski hill in Sweden ;)
Thanks! Yeah I saw that afterwards, but this was at least the second steepest I read 😅
This is not a bloddy running its walking
Kipchoge would clear the hill easily under 5 minutes. Me myself would be satisfied if I got under 9 minutes.
that is not the steepest ski hill in sweden it is chocken in IDRE
Yeah you are right someone else pointed that out as well, I think this is the second steepest?
@@goranwinblad yeah but good effort
Den är 45 grader brant. I procent är det än mer.
Without the camera work you could shave 10, 20 seconds of your time. But that wouldn't be fun to watch.
Please change your logo. Your video production quality is very good. It's a pitty to have this logo. It looks like a law firm logo. I like your work (running & video).
Glad you like my videos and thanks for the feedback, I like the logo but will think about it!
