Good afternoon, my dear friend. Absolutely Incredible exchange. Did well. Keep it up. Just thumbs up. Big thank you. Have a great day. Best wishes to you and full support, composer Yuriy Saliy.
@@RetroRewind77 There's only so many hours in a day and so many consoles vying for our attention. It's hard and we all have our preferred system. While I do play my Switch often there is a big collecting aspect to my purchases. Always with the intention to play them at some point.
CHAMPION 3D . The games look fantastic, your presentation and commentary were very likable. You could be a great salesman if you wanted to be. You made all the games look fun and exciting. I have subscribed to your channel, and I look forward to seeing more of your videos in the future. Have a great day my friend.
Nice to see another vid, Rob. Definitely a few there on the PS4/Switch I'm going to check out because like yourself, I'm a fan of those 2D action platformers. Will also keep an eye on Drainus, just watched a short vid of it and definitely looks worth investigating. Look forward to the Saturn vid(s) as well.
Im ashamed to say i havent got aroumd to either yet. Looking forqard to three houses as a lot of people share your sentiment. Cheers for the comment bruv 🙂👍
Looking forward to the Saturn vids mate. Don't own a switch but I do keep thinking about getting one, fairly sure its a modern console I would enjoy. Advanced wars is one of my personal favourites, have you played the shining force games? Like you mate, i really need to give the metroid games a go, maybe start with the snes. That shooter at the end looks great. Great pick ups mate.
I have played Shining Force 2. I really like that one. I looked at getting a copy for the Megadrive but it's pretty expensive. Since it's ready available in various places I just can't be bothered to front the cash. Great game though. I liked it quite a bit.
I have advance wars 2 on the bga, but I have never played any of em before. My brother assures me that they are brilliant. Live A Live looks class. That JaJa game is completely new to me and does look interesting. I really liked Metroid Prime bitd, but I never did finish it. That musketeer game looks brilliant, I think I have seen it around the eshop. I will keep my eyes peeled for it 😁 Blue Fire is another I see around quite a bit but never pulled the trigger on it, I have heard pretty good things tho. Nice stuff man 🙂
Thanks Gordon. I definitely recommend giving the Advance Wars games a try. What have you got to lose? The game has a nice tutorial so you're eased in very well.
I played the hell out of the first Advance Wars on GBA. Prime Remastered is also an essential purchase. that space shooter at the end looks amazing!!! What was it called??
Some awesome and quality pickups as usual Rob, never got around to trying Breakers on Neo Geo or Dreamcast, didn't know it was on Switch, I really need to try it out Never heard of Jaja Maru but looks like Famicom games I cancelled my order of Drainus but does look good actually All the best mate 👍✌️
Drainus is awesome! Why did you cancel it? It's not too late in any case. Yes the Jaja Maru games are a mix of 8 and 16bit titles. Definitely worth giving the Breakers Collection a go. Pretty fun fighters I think. I enjoyed them quite a bit.
Some interesting scores as always Rob! I'm very envious of Switch owners getting Advance Wars, I love the handheld games and it would've been nice to see how they suit a big screen. You're spot on about them being accessible, they seem to appeal to more non-RPG players. Personally, AW and the Fire Emblems can almost feel like puzzlers at times, but that could be more about the visual aspect than anything. I've had half an eye on Diofield as well, looks good. The only thing that's held me back was the RTS-like combat, although as you say it's so cheap now I've barely got an excuse to not give it a try. I love the visuals on games like Live A Live, they feel like a nice compromise with the need for retro nostalgia on modern consoles. I find a lot of modern RPGs in particularly can be a bit clean and clinical, this style feels like a nice trade-off.
The AW series was my entry point to tactical RPG's so yeah they're definitely great starting points for new comers. Fire Emblem is similar to AW enough for me to complete multiple titles in that series. I hope to see a new game at some point. I thought it was worth giving Diofield a shot. I might like it I might not but for 20 quid I thought it was worth a punt. I do really like the look of these modern retro style RPG's. Keeping that 16bit aesthetic but with a more modern flair. I like it, especially Live A Live as the story sounded interesting to me.
I’m like you Rob it would seem. I’m not really an RPG guy, but LOVE the Advance Wars games. I think they did a great job with those games in explaining how the games play and the learning curve on them is perfect. Then like yourself I then moved onto the Fire Emblem games. Red Art Games are just knocking it out of the park these days if you with so many great titles. I must admit I looked over Smelter. I think the cover art put me off, but I saw Radical Reggie show it and I thought that’s very much my type of game. As I said with RAG, I also think Strictly Limited are are putting out some great games. It’s also nice that they’ve embraced shooters as part of their library and Drainus looks like a real gem. I’m still waiting on loads from them unfortunately. Though I’ve learned patience over the years and just think they’ll turn up at some point . It’s only Analogue that test my patience. I’m wondering if I’ll ever get my Pocket and Dock :(. All good stuff mate and I look forward to the Saturn and Switch updates.
Thanks Dylan. I must admit Drainus was the quickest game to ever arrive from SLG. Pretty sure it was just a 3 month waiting period. Red Art and SLG for me are my main go to now. LRG I try to avoid if I can...but after their recent showcase looks like I'm going back to being a regular customer 🙃😂. As much as I love their systems I'm really not a fan of Analogue's operation. Their website is very amateurish as well.
Excuse me, where are the saturn vids lol I'm one of those who's never been into rpgs, they have too much depth of story for my simple ways lol I just like simple stories like save the world from the evil aliens, go on a world tour fighting your rivals or rescue the maiden from the evil bad guy lol Great to see you add breakers collection, such a cool game from the past hey day of 2d vs fighters, I love those games from the neo geo, really happy to see them rise from the grave and a package I was eagerly awaiting release, I absolutely love playing all the neo geo games that are slightly off the usual kof, ff, aof and as tracks Drainus looks pretty nice too, I'm sure the name rings a bell, although I'm leaving the stg collecting scene I've kept my classic faves and also adding just the choice titles for modern systems. Looking forward to seeing the saturn specials soon 👍👍
😂 They're coming Craig I promise. I totally get you mate. I was the same with RPG's for the longest time. Advance Wars changed all that for me as I really dug the strategic element and easy to navigate gameplay. I find them very addictive. I think Drainus might be one to invest in. See what you think. It has a really neat gimmick which I think works well.
Cheers bruv. Yes Advance Wars is excellent. Loved them on the gba. Glad it got a re-release on the Switch. Hopefully it sold well enough to get an all new game sometime down the line.
Retro Ghetto sent me so I’m here and subbed 👊🏻
Thank you for checking my channel out and subbing 🙂. I hope you enjoy the content 😊.

I hear you man. I'm quite fussy too but even with the good stuff it can get overwhelming. I do love collecting for this console though.

Thanks Alex. Drainus was definitely a pleasant surprise. You shouldn't have too much trouble getting a physical either.
Excellent stuff Rob.
I really like the look of the shmup at the end...Drainus?
Yes mate. I think Drainus is one shooter you should definitely take a look at. 🙂👍
Crikey dude this video is credit card murder! so many awesome looking games. I think Smelter looks the pick of the bunch but also Dranus.
Haha we're such bad influences on each other.
