Something I like about Virman is how he contrasts with Mister Miracle. IIRC, they were both raised by Granny Goodness, but while Scott rebeled, Virman remained completely loyal to Granny and Darkseid.
@@ComicKrackleI haven’t read the original runs. The New Gods always seemed above my level. With Ram V saying newcomers can enjoy and understand his run, I went all in but still wanted to know the basics as my knowledge comes purely from the JLU cartoon.
Such a great video! The Fourth World has meant a lot to me and I appreciate your analysis. Excited to keep watching your channel for Ram V's new series!
Great video! You earned a new subscriber :) Regarding the Bugs, I always asumed that they, along with the other life forms (iirc, there is a monster of sorts that Vykin fights in one of the New Gods backups) of New Genesis (minus the New Gods of Supertown of course), were the evolution of the bio-weapons that Darkseid used against New Genesis at the end of the war in issue #7. That would explain the prejudice that the New Gods have against the Bugs, seeing them as a stain on the planet, a reminder of Darkseid's evil, who periodically atack their food suplies. I think that Kirby would make the New Gods realize how wrong they were in seeing the Bugs as inferiors and to judge them by their origin (mirroring Orion's confict, who is also seem with disdein doe to his violent nature). Maybe by the end the New Gods and the Bugs would have become allies or share a comunity of sorts. But unfortunatelly we will never know.

Amazing effort you put in this..
Awesome video.

You’re doing The Lord’s work, sir. This is needed with Ram V’s The New Gods on the horizon.
I just really love the original saga, and I wanted to give everyone the tools they need going into the new series!

Never knew I needed Edgar Alan Poe to tell me The New Gods lore
This is the funniest comparison I’ve seen. I don’t think it goes up from here. We’ve peaked
I Love The New Gods
Yow what mic do you use
