Just received a couple of sets of Tower Knives “house brand” - Tawa Gunjo series as Christmas gifts for the kids.
Also got a GIN3 Kiritsuke Gyuto for myself.
These folks are the real deal.
Patient and willing to go that extra bit to help. A true pleasure to do business with.
    I highly recommend them 🔪🔪😁👍

Interesting one. I am keen to buy a gift of knives from Osaka. Is it possible for you to arrange this gift against payment. I live in India and my son's family who were earlier in Osaka, now shifted to Tokyo. Could you please guide me? I want to gift to someone close to us. Many thanks for your kind understanding and look forward to your response. Best regards, Nassa

I love that you went all the way to Japan just to speak to a white guy about Japanese knives XD

Japan is extremely welcoming to foreigners and he’s being very respectful.
I’m sure he just loves still getting comments about how being a white guy in Japan is weird.
He’s there because he’s in love and has a family there.

can i use deba knife as an all around knife like for meat, fish, vegetables?

Of course. It’s a knife with a sharp blade. Don’t get too hung up on it. Would be a good all round knife. Nice and strong

@@amightyatom Ehhh, no. A deba is a very thick and heavy single bevel knife, and it's very task specific.

cool video, what are your thoughts about a Santoku Knife? I dont think I can afford more than 1 and the Santoku is a multi-purpose one I think.

you can get any blade at pretty much any price if your new and just want to pick your first knife a gyuto or bunka (santoku) is the best to go for i just got the Kotetsu that is made from shibata knives. a friend of mine knows the blacksmith and honestly a really good knife and i got the bunka and its perfect. id start there.
