I love my glass containers. They were a gift and I gifted my old plastic. So it was a win win.
Hi Cambria, long-time fan, and a sound tech. While you're doing your voiceovers, if you're using a mixer and mic, turn down your gain (the top nob). That controls how sensitive your mic levels will be and will clear up the distortion sound. Then increase the overall volume for the designated channel. Also, if you're not using that type of setup, adjust the mic. If you're too close, your natural vocal inflections will cause the same issue of distortion.

Yes, do the best with what we have! I have bought all the things that were supposed to make organizing easier. Now, I have a big mess and way more than I need. Clutter out of this world. I suffer from anxiety too, and the mess drives me nuts. I’m going to be filling the donation boxes!😊

I'm sure you have already thought of this, but just a little tip 😊 if you're not already doing it off camera, I would change your cloth after you wipe the stools and start wiping the counters. So much germs from little kiddies 😊
suggestion for your fridge drawers: you were talking about how the drawers always get crumbs and stuff in them. ive started putting a kitchen towel thats folded in half in the bottom of each of my crisper drawers. that way, the crumbs and random juices go on the towel, so its much easier to clean the drawer and just wash the towel. plus it helps to absorb extra moisture to keep fruits and veggies good for longer :)
also i totally did this with my utensil drawer the other night. its been overflowing for a while and it always drives me crazy when something gets stuck and the drawer doesnt want to open. i finally had enough and pulled everything out, cleaned the drawer, and got rid of half the things in the drawer! we have a donation box set aside right now, so i just added everything to that. it feels so much better having space in that drawer again! and it only took me like 5 minutes. idk why i kept putting it off for so long

Thank you cambria for your view on those emptying containers into a clear container. I agree it looks great. I like it but felt cleaning some of those containers would be difficult, cost has always been a huge factor for me and space. Apartment living has its limitations.
My kitchen has old style cabinets with limited space. So putting any baskets or stuff in is impossible. And limited space for all foil and parchment paper. Luckily there is a small 2 door cabinet above my stove that works very well for foils and stuff and ziploc bags. I use an expandable shelf to give me 2 levels and it hold all items needed.
I recently tried your mop cleaning for walls. OMG it was such a time saver and was far easier to clean 7' walls and not needing a ladder. Usinh the dollar tree mop broom items which you switch heads and since you can take the cleaning pad off rinse and reuse its a game changer .
Practical ideas is always the best, now if I can only find a better way to store Tupperware. Have only a huge cabinet under my counter as its the biggest but no true shelf . It has that half shelf in the back which I can't reach. But its time to really decanter as your right if you haven't used an item in 6 months or more time to purge.

Love this! Every few weeks, I go through my drawers and cabinets to wipe down and as I am putting things back, I will declutter some items. As for the fridge, I too, clean it out the day before grocery day. I also shop once a week now, especially for fresh fruit and vegetables because I have found that more than a week of those items and I have food waste and as we all know, inflation has affected all of us and I can’t afford to waste food. I do meal plan; we do warehouse shopping every 6 months especially for meat that we repackage to serving size per meal. I am obsessed about deep cleaning my entire kitchen every month - taking every thing out of cabinets, drawers, fridge/freezer and doing a thorough clean and wipe down of things, getting down onto the floor to wipe and scrub all the corners and baseboards and on the step ladder to clean the ceilings and walls- this just makes daily maintenance a lot easier because the every day build up doesn’t have months to accumulate.
Great job organizing the kitchen!!! Just a FYI, The Dollar Tree has parchment paper sheets now!! You just pull out a sheet to put on your cookie pan. Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!! ❤💙❤💙

When you said progress, not perfection, I about bawled. I'm a full-time online college student, and I have a full-time job, but I don't have kids, so I thought I had no excuse for my house to be dirty and unorganized. I'm learning to give myself grace and appreciate your video so much!!
15:24 Don't feel the need to switch now. The most sustainable thing you can do is use what you have. When your tupperware is in need of replacing, then switch to glass.

Hello, oh, I needed a kitchen video. Now that the boys are out of school for summer break, I can get a lot of my decluttering projects done without as many interruptions well, hopefully. I have a list, a long list😬 but I'm taking your great advice of just getting done what I can. Since I have limited mobility (my back), I can't stand for a long time, so my breaks on some days are more than others. But like you said, progress, and that's what I'm going to tell myself!❤. Thanks for keeping it real! I store every day tupperware type containers inside a larger tupperware that doesn't get used often. And just put down a gripping liner so things shift around less, but only afer a deep clean! Trying to channel my inner Cambria!

Don't feel bad about not switching to glass tupperware right away, with young kids plastic is generally lighter weight and more durable and its always more eco-friendly to use up what you have than to buy a new thing.

You’re so real and genuine and realistic and not afraid to show off the real YOU and that’s how you know someone is being truthful to themselves. This is why I keep coming back to your channel! I enjoyed watching you declutter and was interested in your take on the Joseph Joseph silverware holders. I've had those in my "Save for Later" on Amazon for a couple of years!😄 I had a silverware one and a knife one and I just couldn't bring myself to buy them. Now you've saved me half the trouble - I still need to decide on the knife one! 😂
I laughed when you were cleaning your refrigerator. I live alone and my fridge is packed to the gills! LOL And it's not old stuff - I go through it and just clear stuff out every Sunday (Monday is garbage day) and, like you, actually clean it with all purpose cleaner before grocery deliveries. I think I'm a food hoarder! 😂

I do the "donation box in the garage" too, except my method is a medium size straw basket by my front door. I stole the idea from The Minimal Mom, who, i think, borrowed it from Dana of A Slob Comes Clean. I feel like it was a game changer.

If you love 🍉 but sometimes get one not sweet I learned a foolproof way to pick perfect 🍉. On the bottom of it (NOT where the stem is) is a dot. Pick the one with the tiniest dot you can find and that watermelon will be super sweet.

Cambriea, I am the same way you are when it comes to cleaning. I start with a clean space before I begin projects. If you have a mess to start with the whole project can seem so overwhelming. I only work in sections too. I see people pull everything out at once and it actually makes me stressed out for them, 😂. Have a safe holiday weekend.

When a plastic container breaks, I replace it with a glass version. The only plastic that I have now is cups for the pool area, or I have Cool Whip containers, for friends to take leftovers.

I know that glass containers are better than plastic, but they heavy and wouldn't live long in my house. I love however nesting containers, they save so much space.
