Nice video, I needed some of these tips for sure. I made the mistake of putting windows 11 on my linux machine second and it really messed everything up. After several hours of attempts the only way was wipe windows out and reinstall the boot partition from a back up. Always Backup! Looking forward to the next vid.

@@tuxhardware its done.. but tell me something very important i am facing issue that i have two ssds installed in my acer predator triton 900 and when i restart it it shows the partition and suddenly it disappears but it shows on bios such as HDD0 & HDD1. So is there any driver to be installed or anything else to be done?
@@farrukhplayss Thanks for your support. I think something similar has happened to me with this nitro 5. But at that time, I did not have too much storage space for the videos. I believe the solution was never recorded. Send me an email an add the screenshots. Let's see if we can fix this.

Hi... I'm working on exactly THAT right now, i.e. the fresh installation of my new Acer Nitro 5 as a dual boot with Win10 and Debian (Siduction).
The Windows installation went through correctly... I just can't manage the Linux installation.
Do you also have a video for this?

i have this issue and i want to reinstall a fresh win11 on my acer nitro5 i followed the steps but is still dont want to recognize the usb boot option. i'm stuck in a troubleshoot loop . nothing works and i cant reinstall because it wont give my usb boot option. I think is the last time i buy an acer product, because from the begining i had issues with the ssd drive and touchpad not working because of acer design .
Greetings, Mathe. Thanks for your comment. Right you are. I buy notebooks from Acer since 2010. I used to like them, at the time, because they were easy to dual boot. In the past few years, Acer started to make things harder for anyone trying to change factory settings. If you are a simple user, there is no problem. You don't need and don't want to change anything. If you are an advanced user, you will have some trouble, but will get the job done. If you are between those two, it's possible that you will get stuck. Good luck.
i managed to fix it with a new usb and it will recognize it, funny thing is that the old usb works just fine on hp and dell but not on acer even though the windows that i wanted to replace was installed with the exact usb and windows that was now failling to recognize

I'm trying to run FREEDOS from usb but the device won't come up in the options, i have used rufus to install it but still no avail. any ideas? f12 boot is on, security boot is off, i have a supervisor pass but nothing works?
Greetings, Fin. Thanks for your comment. In the video, the flash drive only appears in the boot menu after I have unplugged it and connected the flash drive to another USB port. Have you tried the same? A Brazilian viewer did this and it worked for him. Also, were you able to boot this flash drive on another PC? Can you try Ventoy to see if it show up?
The windows option list don't show up in the steps of installing widows. Only (location and language) and the hard drive options show up.Can you tell me how to choose the windows 10 pro from th list of windows..cus the laptop installs windows home singal language by auto... please respond to me

I just want to install win 10 on new acer 5, flash working on other laptops, but on this I still cant see usb flash boot, I did like you in video but in Boot menu an df12 menu still only 1. UEFI_SHELL. Its is a fresh new laptop
Greetings Arraqnz. Different Nitro 5 notebooks will have different bios. Have you done any change in BIOS settings?
Thank you for this upload. Win11 fried 2 usb sticks when I used rufus. win11 blocked rufus so I changed settings. Setup a Bios password, Disabled secure boot & fastboot and enabled usb wake s4 but it wont show usb post order just windows boot manager on acer nitro 7
Greetings, wallace. Thanks for your comment and sorry about the delay. I'm not quite sure I have understand what you have done. S4 support isn't necessary for boot. I never tried windows 11 installation boot with rufus. the video is about ventoy. Also, you never said anything about enabling F12 boot menu.

Bro have u tried dual boot with android os......coz i have been trying it for the last 5 years on my nitro 5. If you know the fix please let me know...😐
Greetings, Munna Bhaiya. Thanks for your comment. I had multi boot with Android-x86, Solus and LXLE on a different Hardware, a dual core desktop. Never tried on Nitro 5. What's the issue you have been experienced?
@@tuxhardware No matter which android os or by which method i install them it displays " Detecting OS ............." at boot and never boots up . Tried everything but no luck.
@@munnabhaiya4842 You must be more specific about your issue. Dual boot is Windows/android, right? They are on the same HDD/SSD? Which bootloader have you used? Have you tried GRUB, REFIND or CLOVER as bootloader? The ISO is Android x86?
win7 works in this laptop??
