Q: I cant switch between Legacy/CSM and UEFI or switching didn't help.
A: If you cannot change the Legacy/UEFI settings or if changing them did not help, can you find any Recovery or Repair options in BIOS? If not, or if that does not help, then try reinstall the Operating System;

Q: What if Windows does not install and keeps erroring out?
A: If Windows won't install correctly, then we know that the Hard Drive is bad. Replace it as seen here; • How To Replace Asus Co... . Then, install Windows onto the new one.
Q: Will changing those settings in BIOS erase any data?
A: Changing those settings in BIOS will not delete any data from your hard drive :)
Q: I cant find the Fn Key to enter BIOS.
A: Some models use different keys so you will have to try them all :( Also, some models require you to hold the Fn Key at the same time your pressing the Function key. Also, some viewers have reported F12 as the needed key. You may have to doublecheck if your Boot Key is disables as well. If so, you will have to enable it.
Q: It says I can’t enable the legacy option ROMS with PTT enabled
A: Go into the Security Tab and try to Disable PTT Security. If that does not work, then skip that step, and continue with the rest of the video. If you cannot locate the options to switch between or if switching does not work, then skip that step and continue with the rest of the video :) - Наука та технологія

Wont work for me after saving there are words says press any key...then another press any key....please help

I have a 2013 Acer Aspire V5 that is like my comfort food...the keyboard is just the right size, the screen is perfect...anyway, I was worried it had finally died forever, but your video brought it back to life! @@VIDEO_PRODUCTION_INK After a liquid spill, you want to first make sure the computer is 100% dry. You would turn your computer off immediately by pressing and holding the power button until the computer turns off. Then you would disassemble the computer as much as your comfortable with, at least trying to remove the bottom case. Then you would turn it on its side and let dry for a couple days. Have you done this yet or are you sure the computer is dry?
Changed the bios thing to legacy and guess what? A miracle! After I lost all hope! Thank you so much! People like you, who selflessly share your knowledge with people like me and just about everybody else here, you really deserve good things to happen to you randomly and from random people.

@@PC_Monkey HI, I have an acer laptop. I followed all your steps AND bought a new hard drive. Only problem is on the boot screen when I try to switch "boot mode" from "UEFI" to "legacy"... there is only "UEFI" and no other options.

I had just cloned my hard drive to an identical notebook but the machine gave me "no bootable device." All I did was disable Legacy boot and it booted up properly. So thank you so much.

It hadn't been booting up for over a week and while I tried a few things that seemed obvious, nothing worked. Look for UEFI in the boot tab... My BIOS on my ancient H55 mother board doesn't show boot configuration. But shows UEFI with an enable or disable option. I set it to enable and it worked.

My "No Bootable Device" problem, comes and goes (When it happen, I need to restart my laptop a few times dan back to normal). Any advice on this kind of problem? Is this more on hardware problem?

@@PC_Monkey omg. This thing keeps doing this and now it is having issues even giving me a screen when I try to restart. This all just started happening after I downloaded WOW to play on this laptop. It’s an acer that my son added memory to and also swapped to a SSD drive. Haven’t had any issues whatsoever till this. Any suggestions to get it back to a bootable/readable screen? If I can get it restarted I will run system check and delete the game. Thanks

@@xbcz If you cannot locate the options to switch between or if switching does not work, then skip that step and try to reinstall Windows as seen here; ua-cam.com/video/bIlW4im-tr4/v-deo.html. You can create your own Windows Install Media FREE as seen here; ua-cam.com/video/g_UhiHScaSI/v-deo.html. If the install fails, it could be due to a bad Hard Drive. If reseating the drive does not help, replace it as seen here; ua-cam.com/video/tNp5Kbo9uHg/v-deo.html. Then you would have to install Windows onto the new one.

This is a few years old, but I got this error this morning. I followed the steps for switching to Legecy, but I didn’t have the option too. The only option it gives me is the UEFI. Weirdly enough, picking it again (even though it was my only option) fixed the issue.
My computer has been having problems since the day I got it, so it didn’t come off the shelf built the way it was supposed to. I’ve been meaning to get it checked, but haven’t had the time. I’ve only had this thing for 4 years, and it’s given me more problems than my laptop from 2008 that lived until 2019. And that old laptop only stopped being used because it couldn’t display the screen anymore.
But anyway, it did work out, but is it odd that I don’t have an option to switch to Legacy? There wasn’t even a ‘disable/enable’ thing either. The only thing I can think would be odd is that this Acer laptop is geared more towards handling games. That and it was built in 2019 and doesn’t seem to have been built that well.
