ROLA Titan Tray Setup: First Look

- I've worked with a ROLA Titan Tray setup before, so when ROLA got in touch with me and offered to deck out the Patrol, it was impossible to say no! In this video we do an unboxing of all the parts, have a quick look at how it all bolts together, and take it for a test run down to Albany.

Great video. So Rola is making new categorie of roof racks.
Would recomend locktight on the nuts and bolts especially when you hit some bumpy road.
Not a bad idea, some low grade stuff would probably do the trick hey, easy enough to remove if you need it to!
I have squeak on my front runner. I had to take all the bolts off and use sticka-flex on all of them to stop them coming loose on corrugated roads. The noise is one of the most annoying things ever! But its all fix now. I stongly advise you do the same :)

Nice !! Very nice !! Seems much lighter and less wind resistant ...I would just change the way you strapped the gas bottle. To avoid lower branches from popping the valve off, I would recomend to stand on the side and with the valve turned backwards. Just as a precaution !! Being picky? Probably ... hihihihihih. Cheers
that is a very good point! If the nature of the gas bottle holder allowed for it, I would take your advice there. Might be an idea for ROLA on future improvements?

If you've got slotted racks on the Colorado you should be right, but it's definitely worth giving Rola a call to confirm that

Do they make a gutter mount system so you don’t need the roof bars?
Nah they don't actually. I mean, these roof bars are gutter mount, but they've designed it so the tray is bolted onto them for maximum modularity
When is your first major trip with this gear mounted? Very interested to hear how it holds up on the rough stuff. Thanks
The first good workout it gets will be early June on a four day trip. After that its late July in the Pilbara, so I might come back for a long term review of it then

i reckon rola gear is great value, compared to rhino I dont see why the latter costs so much more
Because its great quality, have a Rhino basket rack on my GU Patrol, great bit of kit.
Rhino put in the R&D to develop the system... Rola seems to be a copy.
Only 5% of people know what I'm talking about god dammit
