For the homies who have never done any downhill freeriding, the fact that this is a 93a wheel that 1. Sounds that smooth during a slide 2. Doesn't ice out at 50+ mph 3. Actually hooks back up after a slide is simply incredible. Powell, y'all have made magic ❤️
@@SandlapperSam I think it depends on the wheel and how fast you are going. 93A Dragons are very slidey. I'm able to slide on Powell Peralta 85A Soft Slide Formula. You have to put more effort into those. I also have Powell Peralta 75A Snakes, which I found not very slideable, or fun at all, despite them being called "Soft Slide Formula". I'm not a downhiller though. I think to get those to slide, you need to be going really fast. Those things pretty much roll over anything though.
@@vorpalblades Duerr? I've never seen it. The one he's riding in the video is JM Duran. I have it. I think it's my favorite deck actually. Even though it has a huge wheelbase, 27".
The JM Duran Flight deck he is riding is sick as hell too. I got one and it's awesome. It's got a 27" wheelbase, but, has a normal skateboard nose and tail.
Damn I haven't heard JM Duran's name in a long, long long time. I used to watch him in Sector 9 videos. Was always my favorite skater from that era. I remember him sliding at the end of the run and stopping right next to these 2 chicks walking. He's all "what's up ladies"? Ah man it's the best
It could be a challenge, for Powell Peralta's team, here in Chili 🇨🇱, in the center of the city there is a hill called San Cristobal, the descents with many curves so far I have not seen the great international Skaters take a challenge like this .
oh man, leaning into the air at speed like that, looks so good. i say that having experienced free fall over 150 times. longboard is the shit! is that even a longboard? freefall is easy, this takes some serious skill and guts!
Looks like bones bushings to me @ 3:03. Indy's are great if you tweak them a little. I've seen people skate them at 50 to 60kmh without a problem. It's all in the ankle stability :)
@@benjaminduerr5455im running a ban this deck cabellaro flight deck on thunder 161 hollows there largest size and powell (ssf) 82a blue wheels they look like the snakes but they are 59/58mm i believe. Should have a warning saying not to attempt unless on a closed course and please wear safety gear if you do. Good way to get hurt or worse if met uncoming traffic.
This is tame compared to the other downhill videos I've seen. Especially, the ones in South America. I saw one where a guy was blazing and even flew right over a section where there was kind of like a river flowing over the road. He was flying over sand that had washed over the road, torn up sections of asphalt, etc., like it was nothing. You have to be suicidal to do that.

10 yrs ago we though that is impossible. Damn
He was going fast, but, was it actually greater than 50?
@@idmhead0160 def not
What durometer of wheel can to start sliding with? I have a hard time sliding on anything softer that 92a. Am I doing it wrong or is that normal?

Powell Peralta, at the vanguard of skateboarding innovation.
powell forever
Once again the confidence of the rider is reinforced by the superiority of his equipment, Dragon Formula,"FEAR NO SURFACE"
Wow 2:15 when the nose and front wheels picked up…..way to pull through that. Dude was hauling.
This guy is the slide master. Cool to see that Powell is publishing his videos. He deserves to at least be on flow
He has a deck on Powell.

I just ordered this deck and wheels to learn to slide on. Get rekt, friction!
