    research is realy important but is it just me or don't you find youself in a loop of researching listings that are oversaturated and find yourself oversaturating it even more? Should you waste such time researching or investing that time in exploring less competition niches and being more creative

      I am starting to think you’re right. Some recommend copy others, others recommend you lead with your own styles… it’s so competitive that it’s probably better to do your own thing

    Hi Kate- Great video! What number or range would you consider as a high Etsy SV? And what number or range would you consider low/medium competition?

    I definitely struggle with the long tail tags because I feel like I never have enough character spaces. I sell shirts so I feel like I always need to add “sweatshirt” or “crewneck sweatshirt” at the end and that doesn’t leave me much space for any other keywords.

    One question that no one talk is: what is a good number for search volumes and competition? For example 100.000 search volume with 2000000 competition is good?
    And 100 search volume with 1000 competition?

    Why does Sales Samurai show "N/A" sales volume for the same search term that Etsy search shows as having thousands in SV?

    Great video Kate! Is it a good idea to open a general Etsy store and have a mix of a lot of niches and products in 1 store so that it becomes easier to manage the store from just 1 email account and from customer support perspective? I am planning to open 2 Etsy stores wherein 1 store will be dedicated to only giftable jewelry but my second Etsy store will have POD items like mugs,tees,sweatshirts etc from multiple evergreen and trendy niches and also digital download items like printables,canva templates,planners, social media templates to make it easier for me as I still work full-time so managing multiple Niche stores simultaneously will be difficult for me, would really appreciate your thoughts on this, thanks ahead of time🙏

    • @KateHayes
      @KateHayes  Рік тому +1

      Hi friend! Ultimately you should do what works best for you and your business. However we typically recommend to narrow down your niche so that your store communicates an expertise in one area. It can be confusing to buyers when there are multiple niches and product types in one store.

      @@KateHayes Thanks Kate! Just 1 last question, recently read the 80/20 book by Richard Koch which says 80/20 principle allows to every area of your life as in 20% products bring 80% revenue, 20% of repeat customers bringing in 80% income in your business, 20% of keywords generate 80% of sales. I am curious how has your experience being with regards to this principle in your shop as in dies this apply to Etsy sales as well? The reason I am asking this is because I am planning to create a general POD store which will have multiple niches but designs based on trends only on what customers are searching currently by studying data from tools like erank and marmalead. Do you think this is a good strategy? Also I am planning to hire designers either from Upwork or Fiverr for my PPD designs, would appreciate if you can share your experience working with designers from these platforms if you have hired designers in the past and how to go about it. Thanks 🙏

    I don't know if its me but the best seller filter feature isn't there anymore. I've used it in the past but its gone now..

    • @samanthahornbeck2471
      @samanthahornbeck2471 Рік тому

      Yes! I was looking for a comment that said this because Etsy took that filter off. You can no longer just look at best selling items. However, you can look for the 'sticker' that says "best seller"

    I am creating a post for low competition keywords but someone tells me that I use competitive LSI within that post, that is, as types of xxxxx, best xxxxxx products, competitive keywords, all within the same post. Can it be combined? Oh, wouldn't that be good? ?????

  • @mandarin2882

    Hi! I found this video very helpful! I've already been using erank basic for a few months but didn't feel like I was getting enough views so I came looking for help and found your video! My question - once you identify the target keyword ex: leather journals, then do the steps to research it and come up with long tail versions, do you put the long tail versions into erank, marmalead, etc.? or is it expected that something so specific as mushroom leather journal or strapped leather journal (character count ignored lol) wouldn't rank very high on erank, etc. but would still lead your ideal customer to you on etsy? Thanks for your content, I'm a subscriber now!
