    I carried the Sig Sauer P226 (in .40S&W) while I was a police officer, and enjoyed the gun so much I looked for any opportunity to shoot it. I now own a CZ 75D in 9mm, and it feels very familiar in my hands. I would love to have a Sig of my own, and may one day. But until then, the CZ is a wonderful substitute.

    Springfield's newer SA-35 is worth a look...retro like that M11. I picked up my M11-A1 recently and just love, love, love it!

    The muzzle rize from the PCR appeared to be more severe. Like you, I love them both! The P229 can easily be found used from 400-$600 and the SRT Kit for,

    If you get the chance check out the Bersa TPR9C. I wasn’t planning on buying this gun but the opportunity to pick it up came along so I grabbed it. I wanted something inexpensive as a backup in case my P30SK ever went out of service. Glad I picked it up. For an all metal budget handgun, this thing really impressed me. It is built like a tank, I have had no issues with reliability or accuracy, and the trigger reset is as good if not better than the Sig. I would consider it a great option especially if your budget doesn’t accommodate Sig$$. Thanks again for another great video.

      I have both a square and round trigger guard all-steel 5906 pistols. Round is WAY easier to find holsters to fit. Square is better for face punching with the trigger guard.

    I own a 228 and also have a PX4 full size. I’m going to try them both out on the same trip so I can determine which one I shoot the best. Both of them are factory with no enhancements.

    I love metal frame hammer fired guns. The Sig 229 is my favorite, I have 357sig, 40S&W, and 9mm. I feel safer with a hammer over a striker shoved in my pants. Cool video nice pistols👍👍

    I quite like my Girsan P35 PI, a Turkish Hi Power in Detective size. I think it would also be in the running here and mine cost 500 for the most basic model with steel frame, basic sights, no pic rail. They also offer models with various levels of modernization, with Detective or normal length barrels, and LW models with alloy frame.

    I had Sig 226/229 pistols, but I’m all in with CZ 75 and P-01 pistols. Cajun Gun Works sells a great fiber optic front sight that makes a world of difference over the stock one.

    Cajun gun works does a lot of different parts for the CZ. You might want to check with them. They might have a short reset trigger setup for your pcr.

    Cz will cut your hands up idk why but they have more of an edge on em than your pocket knife but i guess doubling as an edged weapon could be considered a plus. Sig M11a1 is my edc and coming from a glock 30 i credit the m11 for breaking my 45acp bias most 9mm have a crazy snappy recoil pattern for my medium to small sized hands and make it hard for me to land quick follow ups but idk what it is about m11 it is butter smooth recoil wise and paired with that trigger i have never felt as confident in my aim as i do now. 10/10 reccomend m11 for smaller hands.

    Sig for the win. Better than both would be a real deal WG P228. But unfortunately that level of quality is too expensive to produce today nor do steel guns, especially in DA/SA, have enough demand. For some roles I particularly favor them.

    I've taken a liking to metal frame guns. I now have the P01 Omega from CZ's custom shop, the AXG Scorpion, Sig Emperor Scorpion 1911, and the Walther Q4 SF. All are fantastic options.. I edc the plastic 9mms but for home defense I'm going with one of those

    Great video. You said the CZ shoots a bit flatter. which compact is “snappier”?

    • @TheArkansasGunGuy
      @TheArkansasGunGuy  4 місяці тому +1

      I wouldn't say either one is really that snappy - the metal frames/weight help with that. My P365 with polymer frame is definitely snappier - but again, not in a way that's hard to shoot. i have a very light weight carry 1911 that shoots 45acp -THAT thing is snappy!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WATCHING!!!!

    How about a Sig 1911 compct?

    • @BeaudreauBell
      @BeaudreauBell 5 місяців тому

      Most 1911 Commander sized pistols are great shooters and easily carried, but some are uncomfortable carrying cocked and locked and you also give up round capacity. Then there are the 2011 styles available, usually a lot more money, but to each their own.
